  1. You mean to tell me I pay a tenner a month and don't own a football club?!

  2. Not sure why anything that was said means he’s finished. He seems to be making progress, and the club says he’s close to full training, which only puts him a couple of weeks behind the rest fitness wise. Whether he gets his form and confidence back, and whether it affects his ability to play at the top level once fully fit, no one on here can possibly know at this point. So to say he’s done strikes me as being negative for no reason. Im proud to support a club that takes this kind of approach, taking care of a player who was injured on our watch. It is the right thing to do.

  3. Starts off with DT sitting in his living room. I was hoping for a scoop...... no quotes no facts, just the journo's views. Boring to be honest

  4. Was there an allegation he was shagging the physio or did I make that up?

  5. There were 4 subs at half time and another 6 after an hour. Gillespie was the only one to get the full 90. Thought Donnelly did a decent enough job in front of the defence. Polworth looked off the pace in the first half, caught on the back foot quite a bit and easily beaten by Jordan Stewart in the first 15. Big Gallagher looks like he'll be an astute signing, read what little offence Linfield gave very well. Hylton had a few runs down the left in first half that showed he may have a bit of flair about him. Scott was trying too hard at times, a couple of ballooned efforts from distance were as close as he came. Him and the home 22 had a few miles at each other as well. Other than that, was a fairly bland game. Having watched Linfield a good bit over last few seasons, I was surprised how quickly the dropped out of the game. Defended well up until Long's goal but didn't show much else going forward after it.

  6. Exactly this. Regardless of how minor the knee thing might seem to us, he hasn’t had a single injury issue in his short career and now has to have an operation on his knee for something he didn’t even know was there. He was a few minutes from guaranteed millions and now he needs to somehow focus on just being able to play this year. Seeing the Tanner situation play out can’t be encouraging either (Tanners injury may have been more serious, but he had issues arising from the op). I think he will get through this fine, and from the outside it seems the club is well equipped to support him through it, and he seems like a mature 19 year old. One question I have coming out of this is do clubs do these scans on healthy players to catch issues early, and if not, should they?

  7. Incorrect The Well Society could still exist if there were no fans. It wouldnt be very successful, but that doesn't change what it is. People who think they part-own the club in any sort of issue-specific way, are ones for the watching

  8. I'm not a doctor, but I'd rather an injured player started training when he was medically fit again after 18 months than make him do full training while he was still injured. (I have no idea if he will make a recovery, but pretty sure he won't make a recovery if we make him train too soon).
