  1. Once again, the football on show was very difficult to watch. There is no doubt that our style of football does not make for an entertaining Saturday afternoon, even if we were getting results. Pair the performances with the current run of results and it becomes very hard to take. However, booing misplaced passes, booing the team off at half-time, booing them off at full-time and having a go at individual players will do nothing to build confidence on the pitch. Is it any wonder that some players hide or won't try a pass? The atmosphere at Fir Park is becoming quite toxic. It is time to be supporters in every sense of the word by supporting and encouraging each and every one of the players on the pitch. Let's get right behind them and help dig them out of this rut. Co e on ye Well!!!

  2. Personally I'm no interested in how bad the league is or any of the other 11 teams for that matter. My concern is Motherwell and Motherwell only. Why should my team be shite just because everyone else is?

  3. I have to agree he is brutal taking O'Hara off and leaving him on was a feckin joke today.

  4. We have ( I’d never use that expression) the most stagnant full backs in the league .

  5. Totally agree with this Appreciate people are frustrated but the booing and abuse of our own players is out of order.

  7. Not much I can say about todays game that hasnt already been said. I think we reached a watershed with GA and this team today. Our league position and points total is undoubtedly acceptable. We are in no danger of relegation and still in touch of a top 6 finish and potential Europa League qualification. We are also still in the cup with a home tie against a Hibs side that have lost their best player and in a form slump of their own. That being the case, the response from the fans at the final whistle today has to send some sort of signal to GA and the board. The fans are quite simply not happy with the product on the park. Its brutal to watch and was only ever going to be suffered when we were getting results. I actually feel quite sorry for the players, as I think they are capable of playing far more football than they are being allowed to by the manager. Whether that would result in us collecting any more points is up for question. But its clear the fans would like to at least see us give it a go. It doesnt have to be either / or. We can hit a happy medium between pragmatism and entertainment. Nobody is expecting Barcelona tiki - taka, but we do have midfielders capable of playing more football than we are currently seeing. O'Hara was our best midfielder by a mile today until Slattery came on. The crowd made it quite clear what it thought about the fact it was O'Hara making way for him. We need to change our shape and get the likes of Slattery, Shaw, O'Hara, Tierney and Goss all on the pitch together. Maybe then we can get some decent service to KVV instead of just big lumps up the pitch being knocked on to no one in particular. Our players may not be world beaters. But they are better than they are currently being allowed to show.

  8. yep, I don't like the fans turning on the team and it does breed fear....but the football is as bad as I can remember...the only certainty is we lose possession. Alexander doesn't seem to address these issues in interviews , would be good to know what long term plans are , in terms of football or is it just slugging it out every week.

  9. Squad selection consistency and bore fest hoof ball have to fall at the managers door. Can’t remember us being as bad as this, dreadful to watch, wonder what 10 are playing with Kelly in the cup next weekend.

  10. I’ve always liked Donnelly despite never been convinced he is a proper midfielder. Today, I actually felt sorry for him when the boos rung out as O’Hara was subbed but it baffles me that he is starting week in week out. Slattery playing as the pivot was integral to to our early season success, I’m equally as baffled as to why he’s been on the fringes since Christmas.

  11. Is it just me but surely a midfield of slattery shaw and Cornelius can’t be any worse than the current fare

  12. In the last few games Dundee have beaten Hearts at Tynecastle, lost narrowly at Celtic Park and got a draw against Hibernian. They are hardly in disastrous form. As for us, we are on a poor run but we've never lost more than 2 games in a row and there has been 5 draws in the 10. We should be performing better but it's hardly a sackable offence.

  13. Fair enough maybe I'm confusing creativity with a different approach i.e playing our players that I know can play with the ball at their feet. Wee Tierney for one has shown glimpses when he's had the chance that he wants to run at and commit defenders and was unlucky when he linked up with Van veen near the end today. On a different point I'd take that McMullan off Dundee if he's available should they go down always thought he was a cracking wee player.

  14. I'm certainly not blaming him for today's result, but the more I see of Woolery the more I think he is lacking footballing skills. He's definitely fast, as he showed last week. However, put the ball at his feet and he struggles to beat a man. His shooting is generally weak and his crossing is as questionable as his decision making. With his effort, size and pace I can see why managers might play him, but you just know when he gets the ball inside the box he's going to shoot straight into the defender 4ft in front of him. If we are going to stick with him, I think he's better suited as an impact sub.

  16. Absolutely no movement off the ball,we are totally disjointed, the midfield is static, problems all over the park, but midfield has been the major one, three in there doesn't work.

  17. He was easily our best midfielder - got a game every week. Can't help but think he and GA don't see eye to eye. Must have suggested why don't we start passing to one another and got dropped.

  19. It’s inexplicable when you see Slattery come on and be the best midfielder on show time after time. That every week we see Donnelly on the team sheet. The stubbornness to leave him on week after week is killing us. The midfield unit isn’t working and none of the answers to that include Donnelly.

  24. Sad to report that Frank has passed away. Fans of a certain age will remember him as Jock Wallace's assistant back in the day.
