I believe the Boards should work in Partnership, with the Exec Board responsible for the day to day running of the Club. They are the Professionals and, in some cases, employed for that purpose. CEO as a prime example. Sadly there has been little evidence of any Partnership in recent times. So yes, but only to a degree, the 'hands off' arrangement you outline. But far from passive which I acknowledge is your concern. The Society should and must be involved in strategic planning, driving aspects of it and so recognising their status as majority shareholders. But the existence of the Society should not absolve the Exec Board from strategic responsibility. Or preclude them from having input as their experience and knowledge could be of great value. Working together I would hope they could come up with a far better long term proposal than we have before us at present. And one less frantically cobbled together. As I say, a Partnership which appreciates and respects both elements, and welcomes input from both. The exact opposite of the relationship which has evolved under the current Club chairman.3 points

I have high hopes for Brian Caldwell once he has the shackles of the current Executive Board removed. I think once that happens the collaborative working arrangements that we all want might just become a reality.2 points

We still need a new RWB badly. We can't have another season where O'Donnell murders us in possession.2 points

The Well Society newsletter just dropped. The key point is as follows: The Well Society Board remains of the view that members should vote against the proposal. We will be issuing further communications on this next week, including details of drop-in 'surgeries' we are currently planning. Next week, we will also be launching our extensive strategy for the Well Society and Motherwell Football Club, and we look forward to sharing that with you very soon.2 points

oh Id never wish him luck playing for they cunts, hope he gets back ache picking the ball out the net but he should always get a good reception from Motherwell fans played more that fair with us.2 points

For me, what is missing is accountability. The club board for too long has been unaccountable to anyone. They need to be held to account by the Well society board, and the wider membership.1 point

Can we cut SOD some slack? Really get fed up with the stick the guy gets. Aye he isn't the world's best but always an honest pro and when you hear him speak not the most confident lad. Wears the claret and amber so let's give him encouragement1 point

Liam Kelly was a good goalkeeper and a good servant for us during his three and a half years here. When he came at first he was a huge upgrade on what we had at the time and played a big part in keeping us up that season and was excellent for the next two campaigns. His form definitely fell away during last season and I was never comfortable with him being club captain if I’m honest, but he did well for us overall. Best of luck to him at Rangers.1 point

Not a bad opening set of fixtures. Early season is a decent time to get Rangers. They won't have any momentum and will probably integrating new players that are new to the league. They will also be under a lot of pressure to get off to a good start. Also might not even be at Ibrox... Other three games should be looking for 3 points in all of them. Biggest problem is we will be playing in THAT strip!1 point

I like playing them during the Christmas period. It's a good atmosphere compared to a dull Sunday in October or February. This season is the toughest the league has been in a long time with no Livi or Accies. The games against County, St Johnstone and the Dundee clubs are all 6 pointers from day one.1 point

Scotland are shite but I don't think the players needed their big brothers to hold their hands. The message is clear. Supporting Scotland at the Euros is more important than playing for Motherwell. The players know they are on easy street at Fir Park which is why we get served up so much shite.1 point

I remember KVV scoring the goal of his career vs hearts, Was from quite far out and he was running around celebrating for it to be disallowed because VAR declared that the tip of his knee cap was offside 😕1 point

Agreed both teams were wrotten today but this should have been a draw. Refereeing in this tin pot league is actually embarassing.1 point

If i messed up at my job as hard as the officials at Fir park did today i would be suspended or even sacked, So why do these clowns get to keep pulling this shit week in week out ? If what happend today happend to Celtic or Rangers there would maybe be an investigation but because we are small time nothing will happen. They will be out next week making a horses arse of some other game. Not much to play for now but saying that if we keep playing like we did today we might find ourselves in the play off spot 💁♀️ Could be worse i guess, We could be Dundee United1 point
