Am I allowed to point out how dire we look without being called a pant wetter?3 points

Let’s be clear about this. Anything, ANYTHING less than us being in the draw for the last sixteen after today’s game will be completely and utterly unacceptable and would be a major black mark against the manager and the players. I think the seeded spot is beyond us but we cannot go out of the League Cup at the group stage.3 points

He's played 90 minutes of football i.e a game in total; we're arguing over semantics here. That's 90 mins over 4 appearances, when one of them was 45 minutes. Nowhere near enough for someone to get up to speed with a totally different brand/type of football. He's shown flashes as an impact sub but he was definitely "aff it" today. But I'd argue the set up was far from ideal for the majority of the players. How long did it take Gent, Davor and others to settle into the team last season? Weeks, against much stronger opposition than we've faced so far.2 points

So many words to say heehaw. A speaking clock level of analysis. The bottom line is we have signed 11 players and at the moment appear to have got worse. The idea that Callachan, Nicholson, Balmer and a striker from a diddy team in the A League are going to turn this around seems far fetched. It's exactly the same as last summer when he just signed any old shite at the start of the window.2 points

Night and Day worse than the Clyde performance, a team lacking ability, heart and any sort of movement, slow all over the park, I know we were already through but to turn in a performance like that is just not professional and insulting to the fans. Simple passing and moving we played at the level of under 13’s, Robbie Crawford and the boy Turner made our midfield look dreadful. Things need to change2 points

For me it will be McGinn, Gordon, Balmer at the back so they are essentially our back up CBs.2 points

He won’t do. I’m sorry but he just won’t. His tactics, lineups and general attitude is awful. I want to back him but I just can’t because he is taking us nowhere. Time to go. #troll #pantywetter2 points

We badly need pace in the wing back areas to push them back and open up space. Wilson is ok but reluctantly takes on his man, and seems to be safety first and play it back. O'donnell is offering nothing. Halliday is being played in a position he can't control things. Wells would have been a better option instead of halliday. Kettlewell loyality to certain players and reluctance to give the new signings a chance against a team in division down is madness. Until we get the right players out wide, it's going to be a long season.2 points

I’m concerned for this season now. I’m not normally the type who hits the panic button but I’ve seen 3 of our 4 games and yet to see much improvement on our frailties from last season.2 points

Even set up so defensive we could still (should)have conceded 2 or 3 goals2 points

He's played one game for us. One entire game. Maybe wait until he's played more than that before judging how he's looking in the Scottish game? By your reckoning Henrik Larsson would have looked like he was "struggling with the pace of Scottish football" when he misplaced that pass under pressure to Chic Charnley in his first game for Celtic. He went on to do not too badly. Exactly.1 point

I agree with many previous comments. To me the game still had an air of pre season preparation about it and getting time in legs. Ann overly cautious approach and lack of aggression against a big and physical Partick side (apologies to any journos) who put it about. I don't get why Balmer and McGinn were unussed subs. Surely both needed gametime before the league starts next week? The system we used isolated the striker(s) against a big physical uncompromising defence. It was destined to fail. None of the 3 strikers we've used so far can play as a lone striker. Defence wise we looked a bit shambolic at times with Casey and Blaney looking error prone. Gordon did ok. Neither O'Donnell, who had a poor game or Wilson impressed and we badly lack pace at wing back - SK's system needs that. In defence of O'Donnell, Partick quickly sussed that he had no cover in front of him and took advantage of that. The midfield was very poor, with no creativity, physical presence or aggression. Paton was badly missed today for his energy and endeavour. Davor was lightweight and ineffective. Good to see Dylan Wells get some gametime but he looked a little lost at times against bigger and more physical opponents. The ref was very poor and made error after error. We could have scored several but for a powder puff attack and bad luck. That said, Partick could have had 3 but rarely tested Oxborough. Big changes required for next week, but injuries have limited scope for that in midfield and lack of gametime will hamper Balmer and McGinn.1 point

I’m 43 mate, not played FIFA in about 25 years, but I’ll tell you what I can do, I can watch a game of football and have an opinion. I’ve seen some players play for quite a long time, plenty of time to form an opinion. If you can watch some of those players regularly and not have concerns, then maybe you should play some FIFA!1 point

A very knowledgeable summary of our footballing talent, I bet you play fifa football on your play station quite a lot don't you 🤦♂️1 point

After that embarrassment. I think he dogged all the classes except the one about giving out lemons at half time. He knows nothing about attacking football its all negative shite, has been for many months.1 point

Did you see him for Killie? Anyone who would take him back after seeing him play for Killie is off their head...1 point

Terrible performance. Playing 1 up top with two wing backs with no pace is never going to work. Ewan Wilson really struggled yet we keep him on until 80 minutes, we all want young players to do well but his body language was clear his confidence was low. If Sparrow couldn't add to that today why sign him1 point

He should’ve been gone following the dreadful run in the first half of last season, but he’s not and we’re stuck with him. It’s the same shit, different season, but maybe some of his biggest fans may finally start to realise that this season.1 point

I'm assuming those who said Partick never looked like scoring didn't see Graham blazing over an open goal. Or the easy chance they missed in the first half.. They had chances. We had a couple too but let's not pretend they created nothing...1 point

That was a horrific watch! Thats the post. Nothing else required to be said.1 point

Right just back in, where do I start with that today, yes Partick had a few opportunities but never took any of them, the 1st save Oxborough had to make was in the penalty shootout ffs so we never looked like losing that game. We were too slow apart from the spell before half time when their keeper had to brilliant saves, would like to see a replay of the 2 challenges on Robinson both looked dodgy. So all in all not a great performance but objective achieved, group winners and into the last 16, not seeded but that's irrelevant as the seeding is a farce designed for the sole purpose of keeping the ugly sisters apart. So on to the proper football next week we need to pick up our pace but I'm sure when SK has a full squad to pick from the team will look nothing like that one today.1 point

Because the league campaign starts in six days. There’s no need to be patronising.1 point

We are in serious bother. We need the Australian to be a Premiership level striker and also sign two midfielders to play with Miller. If we ever end up with Davor and Halliday as the two man central midfield in a league game we get a severe doing. Signing Halliday was utter stupidity. Kettlewell slaughtered the players on the radio but needs to take a share of the blame. The formation change at half time completely nullified our best player. Kris Doolan must have been delighted.1 point

After listening that over the radio i am a little concerned about playing Rossco next week...🙄 But i supose it could be worse, We could be out 🤷♀️ Killie in the next round too 🤔1 point

Lennon Miller playing as a forward. The manager is an utter clown.1 point

Poor, poor stuff so far. We came more into it as the half wore on but we’re lucky not to be behind. Even if we do qualify we will go no further than the last sixteen with this team.1 point

What a load of tripe. Have to wonder what goes on in Kettlewell’s head. Playing 5 defenders, 2 defensive midfielders, 1 forward-playing midfielder and 2 forwards. No wonder Partick are all over us.1 point

The Spittal that we signed is not the same Spittal the moved to Hearts. He only became that good through the efforts of the coaching staff. If we follow the same model, one of the new signings could end up being as good, but won't be starting off that way.1 point

Anyone know what happend with Mugabi ? Thought he had a pretty good season last season and was surprised to see him leave 😞1 point
