  1. The amount of examples given for that are teams that rake in 40k people is fucking wild.

  3. First of all I saw people that were supposed to be boycotting in other sections of the stand so I'm guessing not all are as united on the boycott as it would appear. Secondly the atmosphere was better on Saturday. More natural, less choreographed, singing from all areas/stands and no constant drum or that intolerable with the megaphone. Thirdly I've not gone to away games for a couple of years but before that I used to go to virtually every away game and the behaviour of a section of our fans was utterly embarrasing and very worthy of police involvement. I doubt it's changed much. Fourthly, I have no contacts inside Fir Park, but I've been told by others the club has generally been fairly supportive of our ultras (in whatever iteration) and yet every time the club has asked them not to cross lines, pyro for instance, they have repaid the club with intransigence and defiance over the issues. Fifthly, groups trying to use their fan power as leverage against the club over the kind of issues that they have is the kind of self absorbed behaviour that almost all of these groups end up displaying. It's arrogant and self regarding. When supporters groups put their own interests before the clubs, especially on issues that can harm the club reputationally, legally or financially, then those fans have overstepped the mark. It's clear these types of groups always put their own interests ahead of the clubs. while masquerading as diehard fans. I'm pretty confident many of these guys will never buy an adult ticket.

  4. If Vale has signed I don't get it. Done well last season but played out of position. Hopefully he doesn't plan on playing him midfield.....you sign midfielders to play that position

  6. Which is why the blockE lads are more comparable to the UB. But yet you havent bothered making that link? Its a mystery why not...... almost as if it doesnt fit your agenda. Most Rangers fans i know think of the UB as a bunch of daft wee fannies. We can certainly see some similarities there. Thats not meant as an insult, plenty of us were daft wee fannies once upon a time. It doesnt mean we got to speak on behalf of the club.

  7. My understanding is that they are boycotting that section, and not engaging in their usual support of the team ie flags, banners, drum etc...I was in the Main Stand and know for definite that there were young lads in there who wouldn't normally be Not having it at all, the atmosphere was dogshite until we scored, the Hearts fans were in far more bouyant mood...which can probably be corroborated by the Hearts fans jeering when the 1st rendition of a song came from the East Stand, well into the game. The drum, megaphone etc might not be your cup of tea or mine, Fir Park was definitely a quieter place without it...until we scored For as long as I've supported the club, we've had people who will behave in a way that will trigger the attention of the police...nothing new here. 3rd hand stuff...must be true Their mates have been banned from the stadium, based on 'the polis said so'...if my mates got barred from a boozer because their face didnt fit, I'd think twice about how much financial support I'd be giving that boozer in the future. Football clubs take, and always have taken, supporters passion for their team for granted. Don't know where to start with this nonsense

  8. What a garbage example...those clubs don't need or (probably) want to sell cheap tickets to weans...unfortunately we do, to ensure the clubs survival. I'm thinking of weans who's parents support the old firm, but the wean gets into 1st year, meets new pals and fancies going to Fir Park with them but can't...but he can go to Ibrox or Parkhead with his da. We are shooting ourselves in the foot

  11. This is not a Motherwell thing a quick search on Google and most of the English premiership seems to be under 16's need to be accompanied so I would assume the FA, EPL, EFL SFA , SPFL etc are all issuing guidelines for the clubs to follow. Caldwell mentions in his update he thought 16 was too high so Motherwell made it 14, so there is obviously some leeway for the clubs to set their own policies. The clubs obviously have legal and regulatory constraints on them so limits need to be set.

  12. That's all correct...any business has the right to ban whoever they wish, from entering their premises but as I said elsewhere if they and their mates feel its unjust then the club shouldn't be surprised when they aren't happy about it

  14. Folks As with all walks of life, there will be arses in the Bois as well as decent folk, it is what it is. Motherwell are also entitled to ban anyone they want, there isn't the same burden of proof that there is in a Scottish court so people need to realise you cant intertwine the 2 as closely as you would like, rightly or wrongly....................... Ultimately, I don't agree with all that the Bois do as a whole but it is only a small minority, the same minority who abused and threatened myself and my wife in Dundee 2 seasons ago as they didn't know I was a Motherwell fan as I didn't have colours on when walking back to my car, it was kinda pathetic if im honest from across a road but wasn't pleasant for my wife who doesnt normally go to the footy. Should some be banned.........probably

  15. If there has to be an age limit then make it high school age. Councils say that kids are capable of travelling up to three miles a day to school unsupervised so going to Fir Park shouldn't be an issue at this age. I don't go to many away games since the lockdown, probably less than a dozen in that period. I don't like pyro so banning people for that wouldn't bother me and might cut back on it but the process has to be above board and transparent with a right to defend yourself. The current system which magically appeared with Brian Caldwell clearly isn't.

  16. Listen MJC we are not talking about Rangers and Celtic here. You work for the daily record? Can we concentrate on the Well Bois and Motherwell FC on a Motherwell forum?

  19. It's amazing that you can the likeness to the Green Brigade but not the Union Bears...they all very similar attributes

  20. If you go to the ticketing information for our next game there's a bit that says that 13 years olds and unders have to be accompanied by an adult

  21. Why not offer Ryan Jack a short term or pay per play deal given his fitness concerns, probably won't cost that much. If he stays injury free he's a big upgrade on what we have now, Miller apart., surely worth a punt.

  22. Our midfield is light in numbers . Slattery is a complete unknown if he’ll recover Paton often picks up injuries others are aging and likely to miss games lose Miller and it looks dire . some quality loanees would be a good shout

  23. I think I know the individuals you're talking about here...and aye, in the past they may have got a bit too close to some of the green brigade 'off the park' if you like...however you're going back years and I think I can safely say there is no love lost between the majority of each group, considering the green brigade have a clearly visible presence in Motherwell most nights of the week. The pyro and behaviours is very much the 'ultras scene'...you'll have noticed a fairly sizeable contingent in the Hearts end on Sunday and you'll also be aware that the Union Bears behave in exactly the same manner as the Green Brigade

  24. I'm sure all the CEOs of the clubs meet up regularly so that's something that should be on the agenda. Its daft having different ages at different clubs because it just causes confusion

  25. What in the name of the wee man are you actually going on about? Do you genuinely think the block e/well bois/whatever they're called are all pally-wally with the Green brigade? Or are you just looking for a reaction? Recent goings on would suggest they don't like each other very much at all.

  26. It's absolutely mad that we (as in Scottish football, collectively) are making it difficult for teenagers to attend live football... Don't care what the actual reasons are for it, just think it's dreadful

  28. Tbh for me it's only the midfield that needs addressed that's the area we look most vulnerable in so a couple of 6 months loans and we should be home an dry.

  29. I'm smart enough to know "mean average" isn't a thing. However, you asked where the 7 or 8 goals per season came from, so I provided you with the evidence. Maybe you thought 7 or 8 goals per season meant "exactly 7 or 8 goals every season" - in which case I'd suggest your understanding of football stats is "mean average"

  31. Van Veen hit 11 in his first season for us when he was playing on the wing a lot so I'm not sure where the 7 or 8 goals comment comes from. He's a significantly better footballer than all the forwards we have at the moment.
