  4. I couldn't help but laugh when Plzen scored and Michael screamed 'NOOOOOOOOOO'. Spittal was fantastic for us over the piece but come January it wouldn't surprise me to see the likes of St Mirren, Killie and ourselves trying to get him on loan.

  6. Who really cares how many we sign as long as we put a winning team on the pitch within budget. Competition for places can only be good surely.

  7. Many of the summer signings make no sense . for a club who bleet on about cash being tight I see zero strategy here . its looks like take the cash for Bair and take a whack a mole approach to signings how many of these signings will get game time , what formation or style of football are we aiming at. All as clear as mud at the moment

  8. But does he live in a house.. A very big house in the country? (Oasis were robbed in my view of the number one).

  9. By all accounts Naismith played him in a deeper role early in the season, which clearly isn't his strength. Of course, he will take time to adjust to a new system and new team mates, so I wouldn't write him off at this point. I'm not surprised Hearts are struggling, though. I don't rate Naismith as a coach, and they got away with some poor performances under him last season thanks to Shankland's goals. Even when we were bad last season, you could at least see the team had a plan and a shape - we either didn't execute or made stupid mistakes (or both). Hearts just look clueless right now, and long may it continue.

  10. Indeed they are. But if the majority ownership group wants those bans explained to them, and the rationale behind them backed up with facts, that's surely understandable? The people discussing this, many of whom are Society members, aren't just punters who drink in a pub or customers of a business.

  12. I get the impression we won't be getting a midfielder this window, for me it will be a makeshift midfield until January and hopefully the Injury list has cleared. It's a very dodgy strategy, we don't want a repeat of last seasons.

  13. Spittal always came across to me as they type of player who played well when we were on top but seemed to disappear when players needed to dig in to get on top or things were going pear shaped.

  14. FFS, Bob and Brian’s influence seems to spread everywhere! Just been looking at Oasis tickets on Ticketmaster and seen this Standing: no 14 year olds or younger on the park, 14 year olds to be accompanied by an adult 18 or over Seating: No under 8’s allowed, 8-15 year olds to be accompanied by an adult 18 or over minimum 1 adult to 4 persons 8-15. How are Oasis ever going to get youngsters interested and grow their fan base with these oppressive rules.

  16. I was too busy laughing at Michael Stewart banging on about how "this team are there for taking" Not by this Hearts team, Michael. They were even worse than they were at Fir Park.

  20. Firstly I’m not against the club banning people who they believe to have caused trouble but I’d hope they have sufficient evidence to back up the ban. If the people want to appeal then a meeting should be held with them and members of their family and the evidence produced. MJC, can you explain the political beliefs part as - although I don’t like the GB - there are certain things the I can agree with and I’ve never witnessed the Block E displaying political views in their displays or any other way at games outwith the heavy hands stuff. Although you have the right to disagree, that part smacks to me of your political views and your inability to accept others have the right to their views and has nothing to do with the way they support the club. Lastly, you and others keep referring and comparing them to the GB but never mention the Union Bears who in the context to this dispute are by far closer linked as some of them also recently stole a drum, Rangers banned those responsible without any court case and no one is shouting about that as far as I know. edit: Just seen your reply to 40yarder which does appear to back up my thoughts that it’s political for you.

  21. My understanding is that they are boycotting that section, and not engaging in their usual support of the team ie flags, banners, drum etc...I was in the Main Stand and know for definite that there were young lads in there who wouldn't normally be Not having it at all, the atmosphere was dogshite until we scored, the Hearts fans were in far more bouyant mood...which can probably be corroborated by the Hearts fans jeering when the 1st rendition of a song came from the East Stand, well into the game. The drum, megaphone etc might not be your cup of tea or mine, Fir Park was definitely a quieter place without it...until we scored For as long as I've supported the club, we've had people who will behave in a way that will trigger the attention of the police...nothing new here. 3rd hand stuff...must be true Their mates have been banned from the stadium, based on 'the polis said so'...if my mates got barred from a boozer because their face didnt fit, I'd think twice about how much financial support I'd be giving that boozer in the future. Football clubs take, and always have taken, supporters passion for their team for granted. Don't know where to start with this nonsense
