  1. Doesn't really suprise you really considering when David Turnbull came back the dogs abuse he was getting was unreal a guy that came through our youth system, done really well for us and got us a large transfer fee aswell. Agreed I wouldn't be one giving them a standing ovation but respect 100 percent.

  3. Mate of mine has heard it has been looked at and nothing seems to be "up" (someone has said the same over on P&B). Like even discussing methods and drills with other teams and experts and there's nothing there other than bad luck. Kettlewell has been on the record several times saying that we investigated all the training injuries last season and made adjustments as a result of them, too. It's perhaps bad luck, it's perhaps our medical team missing things. Vale trained with us for half a season last year and didn't get crocked like this. Thankfully we're pretty stacked up top even with injuries right now so I'm not too concerned.

  4. And of course had the game been at Tannadice the home commentator would have remained totally calm and not gotten excited at all at his team scoring from a penalty deep into injury time to book a semi final place. As others have said, any complaints should be directed to Premier Sports. In fairness I think the complaints from Utd are regards the Broadcaster rather than Motherwell. It is quite funny though.

  6. There's no way any fan could stay impartial and not get caught up in the moment if asked to commentate on a game.it was a cup quarter final live on the tele how the fuck could the broadcaster not provide a neutral commentary team, total amateur stuff from premier sports.

  7. Agree 100% it's on Premier Sports. They decided to buy the competition and if they don't want the home club's commentators they need to stop being cheap and provide their own. It's one thing when you subscribe to a club's own TV streaming, but if I paid Premier Sports to watch the semi-final, I'd be upset if I had to listen to a Rangers TV commentator.

  8. Given that its a national cup competition and Premier Sports presumably outbid other channels for the rights, the clubs really need to grow a set next year and insist they treat every game as seriously as they would if their preferred clubs were involved.

  9. It was. Yet there were still idiots booing him from the East Stand even before he scored. I wouldnt have applauded him onto the pitch. But booing him on is just wrong after what he did for us.

  10. Classy of Moult for not celebrating goal Friday. Nice finish too. Still remember his goals in semi against Gers

  11. A brilliant night and atmosphere that will live long in the memory. Travelled down from Inverness with my Dad for the match which we only manage a few times a season - he's Motherwell born (in 1949..!), so visited some of his old haunts around town the next day and he was absolutely chuffed at the game. We both enjoyed the new beer garden pre-match. Sat in the PO'D stand, Louis Moult actually received a bit of a ''Louis! Louis!' chant from the home fans as he made his way up the tunnel at full-time. Well done to all the players and our support, never gave up. Nights like that make the rollercoaster worth it I'd say!

  12. AllyMax: "In my footballing lifetime, which started with the Stuart Rennie 'steps incident' against Airdrie, we've only ever lost in semis to either Celtic or Rangers ." God, the 1975 and 1976 S-F decisions still live in my memory. When was any other GK pulled up for his steps? Of course the JRP Gordon performance was even worse than a possible honest mistake and he was caught taking bribes a few years later. I think beating The Hens is a realistic possibility if we play to our strengths but we'll need a decent referee.

  13. Does anyone know what the official attendance was on Friday night? A great effort by the Society. For once, volunteers turned out in numbers.

  14. Oxborough has been a real breath of fresh air mental we've had him sitting on the bench for 2 seasons just him coming for crosses releives so much pressure on the defence.

  15. I voted for Casey but it could have been Ox or Miller. Casey's aggression is huge in a team that is quite passive. He made some big defensive contributions and played a big part in the opening goal attacking the rebound from Miller's shot at a time when a lot of defenders would have been happy to wait for the half time whistle.
