  1. On his day, there weren't many better shot stoppers in the league than Kelly. A "modern" keeper needs to be able to do that as well as collect the ball and relieve pressure for his defence; Ox being the perfect example of that and what a difference it's made. Also, lol at these stats:

  2. Its not as easy as that. He has already signed an extension to be fair the club, he could have legged it before signing the last extension. I don't see him doing it again. I think both him and the club will cash in in the next 12 moths and considering he could have pissed off for nothing a year back I think we cant complain if both parties do.

  3. Glad we’re back to real football this weekend can’t stand international breaks but hopefully another week of training and rest has us better and hopefully another 3 points here before we go on to give Brendan and his boys a lesson next week. COYW

  4. I feel this also as against belgium he was playing right mid of a 3 I'd say with barron directing traffic in middle and so maybe that's why barron looked better. Miller's best position in my mind is in middle directing traffic from deep but he's been played further forward for ur recently where although done OK I don't feel he is on ball enough to utilise his passing which is strongest part of his game I feel

  5. Certainly never hurts to have additional attributes although I wonder if he’s a bit constrained by the style of play and the roles given to him. The likes of Messi and Modric are great players and popping up all over the park but they are given free rein to roam. Especially with Motherwell, Miller is given a specific role to play and that his responsibility but I get your point. The more boxes he can tick in midfielder attributes the better he is going to be.

  6. Never said that. Interpretation is everything. My observation is justified I feel .Billy gilmour is a ball player but watch him and he never stops moving and he was same at 16 17 18 as he is now. Continuously wanting the ball and wanting it back when he didn't have it.

  7. The "need to run about more" and "doesn't track back" mentality is the kind of attitude that stifles creative footballers in the Scottish game. Not every player needs to be a hard tackling box-to-box grafter. It's all about getting balance in the team.

  8. You might have been away bud. It was extensively trailed. They are both now on 1 year rolling contracts. Consensus was that was good for the club as we never get into a position again where we are having to pay 3 managers at the same time.

  9. Another good bit of business, still raw but potential is there Ps. Get lennon on a 2yr extension now, no way will we have him that long but hopefully means top money for him

  10. I remember the same chunk wanting Dan Twardzik signed up after his initial performances too. As I said, I'm happy we extended his contract. It's more the absolutism of fans I take issue with where someone is absolute garbage or brilliant, without much room for nuance such as quality of players around them, overall form of the team and the fluctuations in performance that every player suffers. I'd imagine any keeper would have struggled behind the joke of a defence we had last season.
