  1. This comment shows me you couldn't spot a player if he smacked you in the face. On even a few showing it is clear to me he has the second most quality in the team behind Lennon. Mighty glad we have signed this player as he is streets above our other strikers.

  2. The CEO who recommended we accept Barmack's takeover bid and banned young Motherwell fans from the ground without doing any due diligence. I will not be taking his word for anything over what I can see with my eyes.

  3. I thought we played better against Celtic than Dundee. As mentioned above I think Kaleta, Sparrow and AP showed up well enough to merit a starting position in future games. Now we just need SK to shift Miller back a bit and find a partner for AP. Or a midfield that will support and create chances for AP. Moses has shown that he can score but again we need to create the chances for him. There’s a decent team to be had from our squad but SK needs to figure out what that is and if we go with it for all games or so we change depending on who the opposition are. To be honest I’m not sure what our best team/set up is but then again I haven’t put much thought into it

  4. You need to bear in mind he has moved from other side of the world and had injury issues so it takes time to settle and adjust to the league. Give him at least 6 months and hopefully he can show why we shelled out a fee. I know it's the same old record but look at Bair last season, his transformation after a few months was remarkable

  5. It's not looking great on the evidence. You don't look great on the evidence of your posts.

  6. Over 8000 is pretty good particularly when you are facing one half of the OF. I just fear SK will set us up to try not to lose rather than set out to win.

  7. Here’s a thought: what’s the point of engaging with him and seeking an answer if you’re simply going to accuse him of lying when he doesn’t give you the response you’re after? The fact that he’s taken the time to respond says a great deal. He isn’t obliged to do so at all. I’d bet that most club CEOs wouldn’t even have bothered to read your email.

  8. In fact I've just got a response from him: "Many thanks for your email and hope you are well. There was no overcrowding on Sunday and no ticketless Celtic fans entered the South Stand due to the measures that were put in place. In fact, the numbers entering the South Stand was well under capacity at the weekend albeit there was some migration from top to bottom tier. We had a ticket cordon at the gates leading down to the turnstiles/stand, so everyone’s tickets were checked. From this we managed to stop around 20 trying to gain entry using old tickets and 30 who didn’t have tickets. Then, at the turnstiles we had additional stewarding deployed at each turnstile (reinforced by Police also) to double check tickets and ensure there were no Celtic fans jumping over without tickets. The migration did cause some issues with Celtic fans on the stairwells however it was decided in conjunction with the Police that to clear the stairs would inflame the situation and be more of a risk to fan and staff safety." If in doubt lie through your teeth.

  9. Had a quick look on Transfermarkt at last season and the majority of games he scored in he played with a partner in either a 4-4-2 or 4-2-4. On the odd occasion he played (and scored) as a lone striker in a 4-2-3-1. All formations which are set up to provide a striker with more support than we've managed to provide him with so far, I'd say.

  10. I wouldn't be surprised to see at least a couple of changes, especially considering the game on Sunday. As the Sky Sports pundits kept banging on about when mentioning Celtic, going up against a side with more resources and better players can be tiring for players. The exact same thing applies to our players after the weekend. Particularly in that second half, we were run ragged. A few changes for tomorrow and hopefully we will be fresher for the game at the weekend.

  11. Even if we get beat in this one we will still be in 5th spot, barring a heavy defeat and others winning by a large margin. So not a total disaster but as has been mentioned, the league will become very compressed, so getting a point or three will help us maintain what gap there is. A win would be excellent and see us leapfrog Utd into 4th spot. As we go through the season and get our long term injured back we may reap the benefits of having a large squad to get us through a long hard season.

  12. I think everyone wants to win both games but as you say, winning a semi v rangers to get to a final lingers a lot more in your memory than a league win at Tannadice. you loose the semi then we are out, no final. Loose to Utd we have most of the season to recover from that. Let’s hope we beat both of them! COYW!

  13. Maybe throwing it away is the modern equivalent of tearing up the old paper ones - it just doesn't have the same dramatic effect. "Yir rubbish Motherwell. See? I'm taking my season ticket out my wallet and I'm dropping it on the ground!!"

  14. Sorry, but Im 55 years old and we have been in 5 cup finals in that time. Sunday is a chance to get to another one. The League Cup is also one of only 2 competitions we will ever have a realistic chance of winning. So Sunday is the bigger game for me by a country mile. Not saying the extra money isnt welcome, particularly after the summer we had, but we all go to the football for the memories. Cup semis and finals provide pretty big ones. Also, Aberdeen might just surprise us and give us a punchers chance in the final!
