  1. STOP......grizzly time! an absolute roller coaster for me as I feel we have a great chance IF we perform on the day BUT let's not think this gers team are rotten, they are still a strong outfit. For me it's also enjoying going to the game with my mates but also looking up and knowing my dad will be looking down willing the lads on. He is reason I am a well fan and you know what it was best decision he gave to a wee Hamilton lad. altogether now............COYWWWWWWW

  2. Us getting to Hampden for a Semi Final/Final is huge for us as a club. The number of tickets sold alone is a clear pointer to that. It’s a big occasion that doesn’t come around often and when it does then it’s something to look forward to and gets the mood around the club and the support fired right up. As for the game itself, Rangers aren’t on the same level as Celtic, who we did okay against in the early stages last week, but they are still man for man a stronger side than we are and we are second favourites going into this one. We do have a chance but as I’ve said before when we are facing them when they are coming off a bad run and all the pressure is on them then it usually ends badly for us.

  3. Some recent news from the Well Society around the first strategic partnership: Society announces first strategic partnership with East Kilbride technology business The Well Society is excited to announce the development of our new app in partnership with Social Jungle, marking a significant milestone as we start to deliver initiatives identified in ‘Our Club, Our Future’ which was launched in July this year. The plan for growth, available here, covers a range of opportunities including ticketing initiatives, off-pitch revenue growth, local partnership investment and strategic investment. This collaboration represents our first strategic partnership, aimed at enhancing the overall experience for our members. Development of the app will commence in November with an initial five figure investment with further commitment down the line. There is a target launch by the end of the current season. This initiative is designed to provide greater value to Well Society members, ensuring that our supporters feel more connected and engaged with both the Society and Motherwell Football Club. In its initial phase, the app will offer members a comprehensive overview of their Well Society accounts. Users will be able to check their donation history, adjust donation amounts, and modify their membership levels. This functionality is intended to empower members by providing them with greater control and transparency regarding their contributions. By streamlining these processes, we aim to foster a more interactive and user-friendly experience that reflects our commitment to our members. Looking ahead, the app’s development could evolve to include features that enhance their overall Motherwell experience. The development of the app presents a multitude of opportunities for the Society and the Club, significantly enhancing our commercial prospects. By offering the app to our Society members, we can tap into a potentially broader fan base over the long term, thereby increasing our revenue streams. The app will facilitate new sponsorship opportunities, allowing us to forge valuable commercial partnerships by showcasing local businesses within the community and providing exclusive offers to our members. The app, which will be available for Android and iOS users, also delivers opportunities for supporters to make one-off donations, enabling us to support other initiatives alongside the Motherwell Academy and the women’s team, ultimately strengthening our community ties and fostering a culture of support and engagement. Established in 2019 and based in East Kilbride, Social Jungle has quickly become one of Scotland’s top digital and experiential marketing agencies. They have extensive experience in developing cutting-edge technology to provide first-class customer experiences. Philip Speedie of the Society’s Membership workstream, said: “We are really excited about our first strategic partnership. Our members have told us about a need for greater engagement and added value from their membership. Our new app will help us to create a more cohesive and rewarding experience for all Well Society members.”

  5. Having watched SK's presser, can the Well Society have a vote on banning "Punching above our weight"? There must be better ways to say we sometimes do well with the resources we have. (Aye, I know it's just me being a grumpy old man)

  6. Any thoughts of Rangers not being up for it are ridiculous. Any team in any semi-final wants to get to the final. However they may be a bit fragile so as has been mentioned several times, if we can rattle them early and actually score a goal or two it might drain their confidence a bit

  7. I don’t think there’s big weight on the heading of captain for smaller provincial clubs, I think it tends to be more looking after tickets on match days etc and I have no doubt McGinn will still be dealing with that even tho he’s injured. We have more vocal guys there who are more captain like in Gordon, Halliday and Casey etc so I don’t see the burden affecting him. If anything it’s a great move for the club as Lennon being a club captain at 18 will add a few quid on to his eventual transfer fee. i just hope we don’t freeze, the talk there about the last rangers cis final has given me the fear, can we not just concentrate on the semi and Moults goals…. No more Vietnam flashbacks of big Marshall allowed please
