  1. The responsibility for letting off flares is on those that let of flares. No one else. Can we just stop making excuses?

  4. SFA rule 5417 states all Motherwell set pieces to be taken by L.Miller, if any other player takes one then the referee shall award a free kick to the opposing team.

  5. If there are 4,500 fans at a home match there are probably a 100 or less that are causing all these problems, pyro and other wise. Just ban them. Get rid of them. They are costing the club it's reputation and possible fines, so just take a hard line and get them to fuck. Problem solved. Why should we pander to a tiny minority in our fan base and let them cost the club money and potentially harm themselves or others? They have been warned time and time again and they don't give a damn so just stop fucking around and deal with it.

  7. Steelboy is on pre mod but probably should just ban him, his attitude towards the armed forces and those who served is immature and like any immature wee boy we need to make sure what he posts isn't the ramblings of a misguided immature wee boy. Yodo is also on approval of posts, they can still post, it just has to pass the eye test, and recently both have made my eyes bleed. Word to the wise, don't besmirched those who served when the guy in charge Mrs served 30 years.

  9. A game where the result was more important than the performance. Hopefully the team can take some confidence from the 2nd half and completely forget about the 1st. Watt was the difference.

  12. Media seem to think St Mirren were more likely to score. Can't remember big Ox having much to do in 2nd half. Compared to their goalie saving from Seddon and AP. Sure it was scrappy, but we at the end were pushing and trying to play.

  13. plus: Great result clean sheet. Better second half. Players coming back from injury to active. Negative: terrible display first half. poor starting line up future: Wilson to left back Tavares out Kaletta in. Halliday out Paton in. Stop having Miller take free kicks from our half. Cut down on the long fkn hopeless punts up the park

  24. Today and next 2 home games are crucial in my opinion. Given him plenty of support so it's a sudden knee jerk reaction. Since semi v rangers some of decisions, tactics and line ups been baffling. Hopefully a win today can lighten the mood

  25. He survived a winless run of 15 games last season, absolutely no chance he's getting sacked if we lose today and extend this run to 4 winless, he's here for the season.

  27. https://x.com/motherwellfc/status/1865392065758035970?s=46&t=wehikD-exiutCByWu64YEQ Blaney for Balmer makes sense, but Tavares at RWB again is square peg in round hole stuff. He’s an out and out winger and the result will likely be Casey being exposed on that side today. An entirely uninspiring and predictable midfield 3 again too.

  28. Yes, this is true, irrespective of the venue or who is in charge. However the SPFL (or SFA) has a bit of a cheek in this instance and is being hypocritical. The 3 clubs would have had little or no control over security at Hampden. It would have been 95% + responsible itself. So why charge the clubs concerned? The wider issue of strict liability - the SPFL/SFA cannot pick and choose which issues for which to invoke strict liability and we all know what thats about. There is also a wider issue about pyrotechnics, which is one for the Government to address, if it has the backbone. They are not just an issue for Football but for society as a whole. Its not ok to use them inside a stadium but what about in the streets outside? What about their use in crowded and packed demonstrations and marches, which have nothing to do wth football? We have to have a clear set of guidelines or laws to ensure consistency and fairness buit not only that, they have to be fairly applied.

  30. Whilst I understand the point you are trying to make, there are clear differences between professional pyro shows put on by the SFA and clubs as a spectacle and random football fans getting pyro off the internet and smuggling them into games to let off in the middle of thousands of fans. With regards stewarding, these items in some cases are small and fairly easy to get into a game, the only way to fully check would be strip searches which clearly arent proportionate or indeed legal in these cases, so instead of blaming stewards who have limited search powers we really should be blaming those who are bringing the items into the stadium. I know you dont see it as a massive problem but lets not forget around the world, people have had their hands blown off and received horror burns amongst other injuries which is why they are illegal inside a football stand. Now that the club will be fined each time they are used, id urge people to get a grip and just dont bring them into the stadium!!!!

  31. As I said above, it’s ridiculous. In the age of the internet and digital tickets, this policy stands out as exceptionally stupid. Those in charge (including Las) should do better.

  32. I'd like to see Watt get a run of games. His quality would help link our midfield to attack options. Not sure what the formation or starting 11 will be but would build around Ox Gordon Miller Watt

  33. I think what is telling is that folk who strongly supported SK through thick and thin last season are now expressing valid concerns. Not just on here but also in the stands at games. it is not just those that were against him from the outset that are speaking up. Far from it.

  34. I thinks that’s because the comedy channel already had a full quota of programs for that evening.

  35. Good on you. So they're not insisting on physical tickets for PATG home fans? Sounds as though St Mirren are getting too big for their boots.

  36. Tickets are for collection only, there are no digital tickets. There will be no option to purchase a ticket from the SMiSA Stadium on the day of the game. If purchasing online, you must collect your ticket from the Fir Park ticket office before 4pm on Friday. This situation is absolutely ridiculous. What about the fan who decides on Saturday morning, say 7ish hours before kick-off, that they want to go to the game?! Maybe they were too busy during the week to consider the game, like most of us are these days. Crowds may already be dwindling with Well fans pissed off this week and not willing to buy a ticket until the last minute, or people may be penny pinching midweek due to Xmas budgeting pressures, and this moronic and exclusionary policy just makes things worse. The internet is not a new fancy technology. Nor are smart phones and smart tickets. Scottish football is truly its own worst enemy.

  37. Seeing as Kettlewell had Balmer seriously injured then why not substitute him? Really getting fed up with the "everyone's fault bar me attitude" Kettlewell has adopted. I am not one who wants him sacked at any opportunity and I am not a happy clapper, I have given him both praise and criticism but I seriously now have doubts, he is nearly 2 ywrs in job so the "he's still learning" doesn't wash anymore. This all started after bottling it against gers in semi final. We are easy to play against as everyone knows the formation and also he has signed a lot and had cash to spend so budget excuses don't wash either. But hey it's OK as he will just play the " I signed Theo Bair" card. Not even in mood for telling a joke so heyyyyy.....every cloud 🤣🤣

  38. Really couldn’t give a flying f*ck right now. We are being managed by a guy whose mentality seems to be “we’ve got a point before we start so don’t take any risks and we’ll have a point at the end”. The football being produced under this guy is horrendous to watch.

  39. That's because that incident changed the whole course of the match. If VAR had done their Job, we would have had a pen and probably been 2-1 up. Even if we never got the pen the referee never done his job by stopping play for a suspected head knock so their 2nd goal would not have happened. The officials failing to do their jobs cost us a chance to go 2-1 up and possibly go on to win the game.
