  1. It may seem tedious but the bottom line is that the failure to award a penalty and the officials then admitting they made a James Hunt of it , probably cost Rangers a cup win, how would you feel if that had been against us? The clubs should be demanding change from the SFA, as they have no accountability VAR should be scrapped until it is fit for purpose. Watch the VAR review show on YouTube, every time it's on Willie Colum is admitting his team got it wrong on at least 1 or 2 occasions and yet the same people are still in a job.

  3. Correct, again there are not enough words in the dictionary to describe the utter dugshite we dished up again. The sending off was horrific but our play was eye bleeding stuff and the sending off will deflect from that. I left when Casey got sent off as I couldn't stomach watching anymore of that utter shite. Was possibly even worse than the RC, Hibs, and St Mirren games. The rest of the league must be truly horrific when we are sitting 4th.

  4. You could name any two Motherwell players and it'd be true!

  5. The fact we are sitting in 4th with pound for pound some of the most honking football i have witnessed at Fir Park in many of a year is such an achievement in itself. Honestly you just dont know player for player who is going to turn up week to week.

  6. Was watching it on Paramount+ the commentators were arses but even they were gobsmacked. Fkn unbelievable that they actually reviewed that and still gave a red card.

  7. Subs should have been at 60 mins. Starting Watt was right call but Maswanhise and sparrow should have been on at 60 mins. one of the worst refereeing displays Iā€™ve seen for a long long time but we should have taken care of business long before we got into that position.

  10. For me it's a combination of bargin basement technology that's not fit for purpose, poor quality officials and and poor quality training. Add to that the "we never do anything wrong" attitude and unaccountability of the SFA/SPFL and it's a complete shit show. VAR was sold as addressing 'clear and obvious errors" to improve the game, not the actively looking for reasons to disallow goals scenario we now have.

  13. VAR could and should be an amazing addition for our game. If it sticks to the purpose of minimising clear and obvious errorsthat could affect the outcome of the game, and to ensure fairer decision-making overall. If VAR can detect a clear and obvious error within 30 seconds it should . It if take more than 30 seconds then we should challenge how clear or obvious the error is. EG being 2 yards offside is obvious, having a left hand that may put you 2-3 cm offside isn't . We've made simple complicated - please delete and start again.

  14. Im in Irvine. Met 2 guys on the train from Ayr going to the League Cup semi. There was a boy from Troon I used to see on the train about 20 years ago. Im sure there must be others.

  15. As opposed to being absolutely raging if VAR awarded a non-penalty (like against Utd) with the same consequences? I'll take that risk and still scrap it. (Especially as I hate the 0.5cm offside - which was never the intention of that rule, and needs a post-VAR update).

  16. Maswanhise was absolutely raging when he got hooked yesterday. That hunger from him, and Watt putting himself in the shop window, will see them in healthy competition to be the main foil for Stama. Both are different and have their uses depending on the opposition and/or how a game is panning out. Robinson being injured and Moses being the wildcard has probably forced Kettlewell to simplify his attack options and abandon the one up top crap, thankfully. Weā€™re so much better when we try to play football in the final third. Nicholson and Vale (next year) returning throw further positive attacking dimensions into the mix. I can imagine the pair of them feeding Stama countless chances. We donā€™t really play with attacking out-and-out wingers, so who knows whatā€™ll happen with Tavares, particularly with SOD coming back and Koutroumbis getting closer to match fitness, meaning heā€™ll no longer be required as the crazy RWB option. Likely back to Hibs unless they pay us to keep him. Robinsonā€™s injury aside, which is awful, these attacking problems/options are all good to have. Itā€™s all feeling a bit more positive now.

  17. As an Ayrshire Steelman, this is as close to a local derby as it gets for me. Will undoubtedly be another tough game. McInnes teams are hard to beat. But with players all flooding back and getting minutes in, we are finally starting to look like a functional outfit. Looking forward to another Friday night under the lights. Hopefully we can come out on top again!

  18. Well thatā€™s a bollix. 90 minute delay on ferries from Belfast so Iā€™ll miss almost entire game. Might catch last 15 if I can get parked near ground. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
