  1. A donkey of the highest calibre, and unfortunately he’ll be getting yet another transfer window to further bloat the squad with crap.

  3. The fact yesterday at half time we had no shots on goal,no corners against a team sitting second bottom of the league tells me a common theme on how we set up for games cause I swear that's the kinda stats I expect playing Celtic at Celtic park. This has nothing to do with Injuries and such we had adequate players to actually play a system to have a go but it's the same old story. Aberdeen are bottom on the table on form last five games is that a team we should set up like we did today or set up to have at least a go?Key word being at least.

  4. We need signings in January that can make an instant impact. - Holding mid is required urgently. - Ideally another Winger to give us option of a change of shape. - Wouldn't say no to a Cb who can bring the ball out the back either. - Also think we need a target-man sort of St up front.

  6. I think we 'll see a few comings and goings but not a major rebuild. Candidates to be shipped out might include: Koutroumbis, Davor, Blaney, Callachan, and Stuparevic and Tavares. There's 6 names and even if only 3 leave either permanently or on loan, it clears some space. We definitely need a permanent defensive midfielder and maybe a loanee creative one. The midfield is far too lightweight as it is. The defence needs strengthened although SK doesn't seem to know how to go about it and I don't see much movement there. We're a wee bit lightweight up front. A big physical target man would be top of my list. In short 3/4 departures and 3/4 coming in?

  7. With Miller being out for the next 2 months we really need to bolster midfield. (that already needed improving) 3 from 7 midfielders are injured and wouldn't bank on Paton lasting the rest of the season without picking up injuries. Same with Halliday given he's knocking on a bit. Given how tough this window is I'd much prefer to go do down the loanee route - first ask would be wee Al Campbell back to get him in the shop window.

  8. That said, our defending both before and after the goal was very poor. Our habitual failings were again on show. An inability or unwillingness to prevent crosses; defending far too deeply and generosity in allowing opponents time and space well inside our box. Lennon Miller's presence would have made no difference whatsoever to these weaknesses.

  12. I don't advocate getting shot on SK but frankly we are watching exactly the same mind numbing pish we watched under Graham Alexander.

  13. Not sure how the tactics - which I’m also struggling to work out and I’m hacked off with - effect a players ability to trap/hold the ball and make an accurate pass. Basic fundamentals of football that some of our team are struggling with.

  14. I ain't confident at all. No Miller so hee haw creativity in midfield. The league is getting tight so genuinely fear us getting dragged into relegation territory. I am really losing faith with Kettlewell, loves sound of his own voice but hee haw tactical awareness

  15. It's worth remembering that certain people who will remain nameless have been greetin' about every manager we've had for years now. Those same people were moaning about Robinson, Alexander, McGhee, Baraclough, McCall, and on and on. And if and when Kettlewell moves on, they'll do the same about the next guy. Some folk just get a kick out of being negative. I personally think he's a very good coach for us. Sure, there are better ones out there, but we're Motherwell. I'm not sure many better managers would be throwing people out of the way to get to Fir Park and work with our budget. If we make the top six this season, considering the squad we have? I'd say that's pretty astounding. It won't stop some people from focusing on the teams who didn't make the top six, though, and saying that it wasn't because of us being decent.
