Kettlewell is a decent manager for our level imo. I like the drive, enthusiasm and passion he's shown for our club and the job. He has shown that he isn't afraid to make tough decisions when it comes to recruitment in and out and also that he will stand up for our club and staff in the face of criticism. He won't get everything right but what manager does? Even old Fergie made mistakes in his career. Our league position is good and long may that last. Yes, the team can be inconsistent but that's what you get at our level and it's what keeps us coming back week in week out. Up the Well.6 points

How many of those belittling Kettlewell were pushing for Valakari a few years ago. A bullet well and truly dodged.5 points

We supporters get incredibly frustrated with useless officials but it must be worse when your job may well suffer due to incompetent refs. Kettlewell and the players prepare meticulously for each game only to find the plan ruined because the ref makes crazy decisions. I can fully understand Kettlewells annoyance as it must be so difficult to stand on the touchline and say nothing while the ref makes himself the centre of attention in every game. I just wish Collum would remind his refs that the best ones are those who go about their business quietly but efficiently and don't need to flash cards in order to maintain control.3 points

At Motherwell we’re rightfully proud that our club was the first fan-owned top-flight football club in the United Kingdom. The Well Society is now about to embark on its next pioneering initiative by launching Scottish football’s first ever education course on Supporter Ownership and Community Building. A product of the work currently being undertaken by the Well Society membership workstream, the course will be led by David Stewart, a senior lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire. It will introduce members to the history and ideas behind supporter ownership as well as exploring the range of ways in which supporter owned clubs can promote community building. It will be a course made by the fans for the fans! In order to move this project forward, the Society will be holding a workshop on Monday 13th January to consult the membership and recruit interested attendees to participate in the member education network which will work alongside David to co-create the course. This is our club and our future. The member education course is the next step in building a sustainable and vibrant fan-ownership model to ensure that the Well Society is an informed, member-led force for good in the local community. Come along and help to lead the change! Well Society members can join one of our engagement sessions during January by registering here. Alternatively share your view by completing our online survey here.2 points

SK obviously cares and does the basics well. He's proud to be the manager of this football club, we know this as he tells us in every interview & remind us how much he cares about the football club and uses the term football club about this football club quite a lot. After all it's a football club don't you know. I've backed him during his tenure as he does the basics well. We're very good at the ugly side of the game, win lots of the battles , work hard. as a unit to stop the opposition. In many respects we mirror how SK was as a player, which is a positive albeit slightly worrying as it's not clear if there's better to come. For me he needs to build on the basics and be more than a hardworking unit. We need better passing accuracy and more attack minded football. If the masterplan was to get the basics and then build then that's ok , I'd like to see more signs that we are looking to entertain at this football club.2 points

See this is the thing. I sit within earshot of him and Kettlewell has always been VERY vocal on the sidelines and imo he's not any more vocal now than he was last season. Is it just a coincidence that he's had these cards since he came out and openly criticised the Refs and VAR decisions? Don't get me wrong, he should learn to control himself on the touchline and not give the Refs the opportunity to flash the cards in the first place but I think he's become a bit of a target for them.2 points

Another young lad with a lot to prove as he gets more senior minutes, so we should hopefully benefit nicely from this loan deal. And he should hopefully fill the void left by Miller.1 point

The coaching team keeping an eye on him to make sure he doesnt go on a liam kelly type of dip in form because kelly SHOULDV been dropped with his form last year, so hopefully they monitor his form and headspace at the start of the season ox was coming and taking all the high balls in the 6 yarder nb, now his confidance in coming seems to be rocky to say the least, shot stopping heez fine but has his moments, coming n catching !!!! that sound ok for monitored 👍1 point

Why are you being so generous ? This is Motherwell FC he will get 10 mins like every other cnut we sign.1 point

I can imagine the Valakari out, melt down on here if we had taken 2 points from 9 games. I find it extraordinary that the biggest critics of Kettlewell come on here and defend a manager who is regularly criticised for his tactics and team set up. Anyway we have 30 points after 21 games. Any Motherwell manager's first priority is to keep us in the league. In the last 10 years the highest points that have been in the play off is 36. (that's what we had in 2015) so with 17 games to go even if the total is higher this year we need three wins to achieve that objective.1 point

Andrews seems like the kind if signing we should be making at this time of year. Young player with greater quality than we can normally afford but needs a platform to gain some senior experience. We have a big squad and plenty of midfielders, but as others have said, most of them are not match fit. I would envisage him being used to support the rehabilitation of Slattery, Nicholson et al. Looking forward to seeing what he can do.1 point

That's improved from the 10 mins someone mentioned - at this rate he'll at least get a couple of games . Suspect that by the time he leaves we'll be gutted he's moving on. Already on the brink of the 1st team in the championship - the boy is likely to be pretty damn good.1 point

Although we have a plethora of midfielders, most are injured, ill, or returning from long term injury so another midfielder will help , even if only to reduce the amount of gametime for those running on empty. No idea what kind of player Andrews is though. Welcome Kai.1 point

I have issues with him not buying his partner a Christmas or birthday card which he confessed to in an interview, miserable git!! 🤣🤣1 point

I wouldnt want rid of him, hes a young manager and he's doing fine. Is he setting the heather alight? No, but if he was he wouldnt last long. It would however be good to see him learn from mistakes and note just how poor & toothless we are when he sets us up defensivley1 point

You can compare what you want. My point was that it’s not really fair to suggest that Valakari was a bullet dodged when you consider their lengths of tenure in this league and managerial background. Some further context would be that Valakari took over a team about halfway through the first half of the season in October, and Kettlewell took over a team halfway through the season in February following a transfer window where the squad was notably strengthened. It’s true that Kettlewell’s start was better than Valakari’s in this league, but they inherited different squads, and let’s not forget that Kettlewell presided over a lengthy winless run, which was much worse than Valakari’s current record in this league. In summary, and as I said above, it’s not really possible or fair to directly compare them at this stage or say one was a bullet dodged. That’s all whataboutery.1 point

I'd push for this as Moses is utter dung and we are short in the forward areas however, I can't see it happening. I know from a source at Morton that he was sent to them by us because he wasn't applying himself in training, which as we know by now and rightly so SK won't tolerate. Exit door more likely option for Stuparevic however hope I am wrong and he comes back and bangs a few in from January to May.1 point

Im less fussed about getting a striker - if we can get signings who are able to provide opportunities to our strike force that would be ideal.1 point
