He quoted our games won , terrible posetion stats just in general everything he said last week after st j except he had time to tidy it up also said SK was basically not doing himself any favours by ranting at refs etc then mentioned bout him getting on the wrong side of the fans also said he spent 19 years of his adult life at FP and had his fair share of “abuse / slaggings “ but said no worse than at any other club also put the bit in about our family run club Just all general stuff but stressing that it wasnt even a minority it was a cluster ( or other words to that effect ) of fans with abuse it was a good 3/4 minutes worth probs get it on bbc whatever it is 👍3 points

When it’s been spelled out for years in club accounts that fees are accrued over the length of contracts…. Aye, well done you for a couple of likes.3 points

Honestly when you step back and look at how much money we have burned on players that's have gave us next to nothing last 6 months it's shocking. Don't want to hear tight budget,3rd smallest budget in the league bs ever again.2 points

So thats what - 25-33% upfront. 33% of £4mill still gives us a decent amount to work with to reshape the squad in addition to leveraging future deals through guaranteed income over the next 3 years. But you knew that too.2 points

Well, we fulfilled the fixture, didn't pick up any cards and avoided a bleaching. Thats about it really. I wasn't expecting wholesale change in tactics but the ghost of Stuart Kettlewell haunted Fir Park. Stephen Frail proved that he was part of the old regime. Our line up looked like a 5-2-2-1 to me, with the hard working Ragnar Lothbrok ploughing a lone furrow up front. Our midfield was largely non existent setting up camp about 30 yards from our goal and giving the defence no protection. I'm not usually one to worry about possession stats but 19% really is low. A single shot on target on too. SOD looks lost in central defence and Kaletta didn't impress. Maybe because of injury, he didn't give 100%. Apart from being more talented, which goes without saying, Celtic were harder working and more physical than us. Ragnar impressed up front and I was happy for him to notch his first goal. However he had little service. Of the others Tom Sparrow looked the part in midfield before he was moved back; Dom Thompson looked lively at LWB; and Manwhanise looked lively. Neither of the 2 new lads had much of chance to impress. We move on and the sooner a new broom arrives the better. A pair of fresh eyes is badly needed.2 points

I doubt if the bloated squad will cost us that more. Say we're 7 players up on our normal squad. Average pay £1,250 pw for say 5 months. That might cost us an extra £180,000 - £200,000. Not a fortune in the great scheme of things. That's a very rough estimate of course.1 point

Which generally has to be found with or without Millers sale - certainly the crucial parts. That revenue will just help us not be as impovrished, whether we recieved it in one lump or over a series of instalments. Its good that we both know these things1 point

No idea bits and bobs depends on the deal I suppose. I shall say this Watt from Dundee Utd and Tavares from Hibs to loan deals probably paying full wage season long and they have offered us next to nothing zilch! So taking a wage off rival teams so they can bring in a player when we are taking in players that were known to be below average on the slide really isn't that progressive. That summer window could be one of the worst I have witnessed tbh something needs to change on the recruitment side of things it needs looked at and freshed up.1 point

correct the amount of low level shite in our squad is the reason we are so consistently bad.1 point

Aye I had to laugh when I seen that, there's nothing sensational about it,it was the same the other day celtic were planning a stunning swoop for a guy that can't get a game for seville that rodgers had at leicester.the media in this country love to go overboard at any mention of the old firm.1 point

I think SOD and Blaney have been preferred in recent weeks to try and play a bit more football at the back. Previously we had Casey, Gordon and Balmer and the ball was getting shelled over the top of the midfield to strikers unable to deal with it. I understand why it was done, but it hasnt really worked. Our pass/possession rate hasnt improved and we look more fragile at the back than ever, mostly from cross balls. Our biggest problem all season has been midfield. We havent had the numbers due to injury and illness, and the ones left fit and available simply dont have the legs or ability to make five at the back work unless we push the wing backs high, which leaves us vulnerable at the back. Like KMcAlpin says, we need fresh eyes to look at the sqaud and find a solution that works vetter than what we have been doing. Otherwise we are going to passively slip into a relegation battle we currently look ill equipped to get out of.1 point

Sadly, I see no end in sight to this disease. If anything its only gotten worse in recent years. There's no political will to address it.1 point

Pretty well my thoughts, performance and score line better than I expected. Thompson did well against Kuhn given he’s probably been the best player in the country so far this season. Armstrong worked his socks off and looks like he could be good for us when we get a bit more support to him. Midfield still a massive concern, not convinced any of our options bar Miller are good enough! Sparrow did well but looks like he might be more suited to that right wing back role.1 point

Oh I totally agree. I wasn’t slagging the defenders. Our first line is the forwards to try and slow the opposition down while we organize defensive set up. Then if we decide to let them have space up ton30’yds from our goal then midfielders are the next line1 point

442 with two wingers wouldn't work. Everyone plays three in centre midfield now. So unless you've got Ngolo Kante, or plan on playing counter attacking football with a solid defence. A solid defence we don't have. Every single full back we have is a wing back and way better at going forward than attacking. And we don't seem to have two centre backs solid enough to play in a back four. The ones we haven't aren't good enough when we play three of them. Other than that it's a fantastic idea...1 point

Wouldn’t that be a great thought. Even better if longer term sustainability and infrastructure weren’t a thing also. But you knew that too 🥱0 points
