  1. You have to be on something to type that. The man's a complete liability. Get him tae f..k.

  3. If the new manager was watching Balcombe yesterday, he would be mad not to start Ward at the next match.

  4. So you would keep sod who has years, not months of poor performances but not give a chance to the lad plange who has had about 30 mins on the park...I thought he looked OK when he came on. He might nit be any good but how can you tell in time he's had.

  7. McGinn’s contract expires in the summer and he’ll be 35 in October. He’s currently a big loss but I doubt the new manager will offer him a new deal.

  9. Yeah i noticed that. Huge big ear and big bent nose. He Covered up his napper with a hat but it did look like him. So it’s either him or Jimmy Nail who has the job.

  10. Ross Tierney scoring the winner and getting man of the match for Bohemians vs Shamrock Rovers. Pity we didn’t give him enough time to adjust and break through, thought he had something about him.

  11. Casey should be starting. Has his flaws but for my money, is a starter in our team. I understand trying to keep discipline among the players but not at the expense of being relegated.

  12. For once the whole process has been kept private. As it should be. Hopefully the new guy unites everybody at the club and we move forward as one.

  13. Looking at our squad on the official site to try and gauge who we are missing, and came across Ward. Forgot all about his signing. Given how poor the goalie was yesterday, perhaps Ward should get a chance. Whilst I dont want anybody to lose their job, it might be good for a new goalkeeper coach.

  14. Yes. I think its clear that the old regime had lost the dressing room. Hopefully a new manager will give their confidence a boost. I don't get why Casey was on the bench yesterday. OK, I now he's not our saviour, but if he's really really upset Frail & Kettlewell then just drop him altogther. If he was on the bench then he must have been in Frail's plans. The players' off the ball work rate also needs to be upped somewhat.

  15. Strange game yesterday in that I actually thought for the most part we were the better team, despite losing 3-0, bizarre! Clearly our defending was poor in moments, SOD in particular, although not exclusively! Midfield looked much better with Miller & Slattery in there. Toothless up front with Watt and Armstrong doing a similar job but neither looking like they’ll get us the goals to keep us up. Desperately in need of some energy and pace in the team, was amazed Maswanhise wasnt brought on at HT. For the next couple I can’t help but feel that bringing in Casey, Paton and Maswanhise for the old guard of SOD, Halliday & Watt (who can’t play at the weekend anyway) would make us tougher to beat and give us more energy and pace. Praying we’ll have just enough to finished 10th but it’s going to be very tight I fear.

  17. Sadly we’ve been going downhill slowly both with management and recruitment from the time of Robinson leaving. I would say five/six years ago the standard of players we had was higher, and even they were getting stick but it’s now just a massive squad with players that can’t even get in lower league teams down south. I’m not actually sure what the answer is, changing manager after manager certainly does not work, having a big squad does not work, the youth development brings in cash at times but it’s not generating results. Sadly it seems next to impossible to grow the attendances, they hardly move upwards even when the club is doing well, yesterday 3973. It’s difficult to see anything other than another manager coming in who signs more players before a percentage of the support gets on his back and he’s out of the door. The clubs needs some long term consistancy.

  21. Absolutely. The game was lost at 1.45 when the team was announced. O'Donnell was never a central defender; why was Casey benched; Sparrow is never a wing back; Slattery is nowhere near match fit; Halliday?; what had Watt done to deserve a start? We obviously set out to match County physically, which was always doomed to fail. No pace in side. No Manwhanise or Nicholson for creativity. A cautious dull pedestrian line up and thats exactly how the game unfolded.

  22. Don't think the model works. Fan ownership . Running the club by amateurs and committee not working.

  24. If you read that article it says he has been appointed as "part time kicking coach" for some Australian rules/rugby team. Looks to me as he is desperate for some kind of job which is why he would put himself forward for the Well job imo. The rumour I heard yesterday was that an Aussie was getting the job. Time will tell.

  25. I took my mum to see the game yesterday - hospitality. The wine took the edge of the result (not really, I was gutted). I was out with my wee brother today and he said he thought we were the better team for the first 20 minutes before it all collapsed. He also said he didn't think the tactics were particularly Kettlewell esque and thought Frail did try and change things up The only bright spot was having a very nice view of the very lovely Slattery as he was being subbed off 🤣.

  26. We have a squad capable of finishing in top 6 but unfortunately decimated by injuries and hampered by tactics. From a possible starting 11 (shown below) we have Ox, McGinn, Seddon and Stam out and Kaletta been carrying an injury while playing and now out. The sooner Ox gets back the better. I think McGinn replacement has to be Balmer. Sparrow can replace Kaletta or perhaps Seddon but midfield is where it might make or break us. The new manager will have to quickly work out the best formation and combination of players to make us harder to beat but create more chances and support for attack. Forwards we have plenty but which ones will work the best???? New guy Armstrong looks decent but we haven’t given him many chances to see if he can score regularly. Maswanhise is unpredictable but probably worth starting to see if it’s a good day or bad day. No point on bringing him on as a sub to find out it’s a bad day. if the new manager is worth his salt he should be able to take what we have and at least keep us up. Ox McGinn Gordon Casey Kaletta Nicholson Slattery Miller Seddon Maswanhise Stam
