  1. You can criticise SOD for his performances if you like, but to criticise his attitude towards the fans is way off line imho. He takes plenty stick but has never bitten back or disrespected us publicly. He has certainly had his fall outs with managers , but we have all been crying out this season for players who will challenge the manager and not just sit silently and accept what is happening. Personally, I dont think he has been great for us over the piece, but nowhere near as bad as some make him out to be. Thats not a great defence for him and its difficult to see how he keeps his place in a high pressing team, but lets keep it factual.

  4. As I've said before, there are many discussions you can have have about individual players. So many aspects contribute to their overall performances. In football forums, however, all those nuances are boiled down to "shite" or "brilliant". It's what often makes it so difficult to have any kind of conversation.

  5. I'll personally always give a new manager a chance. Be interesting to see how things pan out though.

  6. Again, were you at the game? Probably not. But for the avoidance of doubt, ‘getting booed’ in a football context can mean boos and shouts and jeers, etc. It’s a generic term. Regardless, solely booing someone or something can also be a way for a person or group of people to express legitimate criticism if they choose to do so. Are you the legitimate criticism police?

  7. So booing is legitimate criticism now? I always thought that it involved words of mainly more than one syllable put together in a coherent sentence.

  8. Maybe siege mentality and raging with SK but I am desperate for Wimmer and Koc to be a success. Koc looks like a great character and great link between Michael and dressing room. We need to give these lads a chance and realise this isn't an overnight project. I do try to humour everyone but underneath there is an incredibly passionate well fan that loves this club

  9. I was fortunate to know Cammy and his family and it’s a really sad loss. An absolute gentleman and a guy who would always have time for you. He was well respected at every side he represented as we can see from the genuine messages of condolences online from st mirren and Arbroath. Rest in peace Cammy.

  10. I think what you say is fair and reasonable and I too always felt he had a limit on his football ability. However, I always felt he made the most of the attributes he did have and always worked his socks off when he played for us. I always felt he would be best used as a defence protecting midfielder, operating in the spaces between defence and midfield. And like you, I’d have him back.

  11. I think SOD deep down will know he’s past it now but he does (contrary to what some think and what we sometimes see) give it his all for the club. If he’s asked to play he’s not going to say no, I do expect we will see less of him under the new manager however

  12. I might still owe my folks some money for those bills. Here's an austria vienna game from 2023 if you want to see his tactics in effect, or scout potential signings. https://youtu.be/S8TxRyGVOXk

  13. I thought he was reserved in his enthusiasm. What he did not seem to say was that everybody was buzzing and excited about Saturday and that the new management team had given everyone a massive lift. There was a hint of realism and managing expectations in the interview. Maybe that is a good thing. It is easy to read too much into these interviews however. How many times have we heard the great week training/ lads buzzing to go comments only to witness flat and insipid performances on the Saturday.

  14. I still have fond memories of the old "Club Call" where that was the only way you could find out what was happening at the club. Till my old man got the phone bill in😬

  19. The more he continues with this, the more he's blackening the clubs name and laughing in the face of the folk who supported him to the hilt when results and performances were awful, and those at the club who backed him even after he departed. It's a funny thing, but he was a manager that I didn't have a huge opinion on, he done some good things, some crap things, had moments of success and large periods of pish...he waffled a lot, but I felt he was more often than not, a good representative for the Club. Any good work he done on the clubs behalf has been forgotten now by the majority of the fans, and the poor work he done pails into insignificance by his behaviour since the day that he resigned. His narcissistic traits have poured to the fore, and his all out attack on the clubs fans have only been a tactic to deflect away from the fact that he was simply struggling to find the answers to get us out of the rut that he has left us in...the number of players we have currently signed at the Club is absolute testament to the fact that he had lost the run of himself. His current self-promotion and publicity is designed to get him a gig elsewhere...and sorry to say, I hope it fails miserably.
