I got a random phone call from Stevie Kirk this morning asking if I was planning on renewing my season ticket for this year! Was pretty bizarre.

If the clubs we should be competing with are signing players the calibre of Cillian Sheridan, then that's got to be a good thing for us.

How do you work that out? Can only speak for myself, but in my case, I've been a season ticket holder now for the last two seasons, having previously sat out for a few years, but I won't be buying one this season one two accounts as (a) I already know I'm guaranteed to miss at least three home games already looking at the fixture list and (b) I genuinely do not feel the product (SPL in general, not necessarily MFC) is not worth the initial outlay required to finance the purchase. I do intend to pay at the gate this year, but I'll be picking and choosing this time depending on importance of the game, stupid kick off times and how much I really feel like getting my fix of sectarian abuse from either half of the old firm. Cup final ticket deal aside, I don't really see why last seasons performance should really be a major influence over this years sales.

Neither was our record transfer fee paid going to be either going by that argument, just saying.

I would say it was more to do with our set up that game. Not worry, there will be other finals...(and breathe)...

I'll probably go along, pay my tenner, then come back on here later on that night to moan about why the fuck I thought it was a good idea to pay a tenner to watch that pre-season dross before vowing never to go along to another pre-season game ever again...much like any other season really!

I don't have the answers by any means, so I'm simply asking a question here...but what would everyone else do differently from the proposed measures...only asking as it seems a lot of people seem to have a hell of a lot of opinions and supposedly better ideas than our national government...so please, feel free to raise them.
