I don't imagine he'd have been content at walking away with nine months left on his contract without a decent wedge though.

Obviously where Esteban got the idea from!

The Main Stand - You Should Be Ashamed Of Yourself!
KirkySuperSub replied to nethertonwellfan's topic in Club Chat
I was sitting in the PoD last night, and will be again on Sunday and all other home games this season, and I have a sore throat from last night. Does that make me a real fan? I even bought a programme. -
Out of the reported 8 away end tickets sold, two of them are working beside my misses...!!! One of them is Danish and NOT an OB supporter and the other........ Is a Chinese burd, over working out of the UK office for a few months...!!!

I awoke in the night with a fever and the sky was the darkest blue, And a still voice was calling to me, "The 'Well are needing you", Aye just like that. And away in the distance, I can just make out this ball, coming in from the left, And I'm starting to run, to run like hell and the voices are getting louder and louder and louder, Crying, "Hey big yin, gaun yersel'". I have a dream (we have a dream), If dreams come true (If dreams come true), Then Motherwell (then Motherwell), I will play for you. (we'll play for you), Now I hope and I pray (we hope and pray), That if, if I do (that if we do), Then Motherwell we'll play for you. Now the next thing I know, someones gaun and tripped me, And I've fallen just inside the box (thats a penalty), Now ref he looks to his linesman and he's pointing right at the spot! (thats brilliant), Now Jamie Murphy, who normally takes them, is handing the ball to me (you dont say) And then I hear ma old lady screamin' blue murder, shes saying, "thats no the ball yer kickin' ya eejit, its me!" I have a dream (we have a dream), If dreams come true (If dreams come true) Then Motherwell (then Motherwell), I will play for you. (we'll play for you) Now I hope and I pray (we hope and pray), that if, if do (that if we do) Then Motherwell we'll play for you. With apologies to John Gordon Sinclair and the Scotland WC 1982 squad...!!! I'll get ma coat.....

I've just realised that I've been having those nervous, involuntary leg tapping movements at my desk for the last hour or so.............I cannae fucking sit still.........!!!!! I'd quite happily come into to work tomorrow morning with the worst hangover I've ever experienced, just to make tonight come true, please, please, please, please don't let us be disappointed...!!! The hope and expectation has been built up to fuckin' unbelievable levels over the last week, the fall from that would be fuckin' astronomically painful. Come on.........we can fucking do this.........!!!!!

I cut this from the Daily Record website, from yesterday.. It sounds like he is still aiming to be part of Blackburns plans, although if this proposed takeover goes through and Sam Allardyce is handed a £100m transfer kitty...(wtf would he know what to do with that amount of money anyway?)...I can't see him being there much longer, esepcially if he isn't figuring much already. NICK Blackman watched in awe as hero Wayne Rooney bagged a famous debut hat-trick on a Champions League glory night for Manchester United at Old Trafford. Now the on-loan Motherwell striker is looking to make his own explosive start in Europe after his switch from Blackburn. The Englishman made his debut during the defeat to Hibs on Sunday and is set to taste continental action for the first time at Odense's TRE-FOR Park tonight. The Salford boy's only experience of European football so far has been watching boyhood heroes United - with Rooney's incredible bow in a 6-2 win against Fenerbahce six years ago the highlight. And while this evening's Europa League play-off first leg might not have the same billing, Blackman knows the big guns lie in wait if Well can overcome the Danes and reach the lucrative group stage. The 20-year-old, who started out at the Red Devils' academy alongside the likes of Danny Welbeck, said: "I am a Manchester United fan. I sometimes get to see them play on big European nights if tickets become available and I've been to watch a few good games. "I was there when Rooney scored his hat-trick on his debut. I was there when they played Porto the other season as well. "It's great to think I now have the opportunity to play in Europe so early in my Motherwell career. "There are some really big teams in there and this is a winnable fixture so fingers crossed the boys can do it. This is a great opportunity. "If we got to the groups a big tie like Manchester City would be really special, particularly with me being a United fan. A glamour tie would be good for the club financially as well. "If Manchester City came along then hopefully I would get a chance. I have seen a couple of Manchester derbies in the past. Howlers "I was born in Salford and have lived there all my life. I was at Man United as a kid and it was a great opportunity for me to learn my trade at probably the best club in the world." Blackman is likely to face some former United players in the Odense ranks with fit-again keeper Roy Carroll set to take his place between the sticks and Eric Djemba-Djemba assured of a place as midfield enforcer. Blackman said: "I remember Djemba-Djemba. He was a really tough tackler. He went to Aston Villa afterwards. "I remember Carroll as well. He had a few mistakes in his time but was the United keeper for a good few years. Hopefully he'll have a few howlers against us. "Football can change really quickly. One minute I am playing with reserves, the next I could be playing European football. "It is good exposure as a lot of people watch Scottish football. The European aspect is a bonus. Motherwell deserve great credit for the work they have put in last season and what they have achieved." While Blackman - who scored nine goals in pre-season for Rovers - is happy at Motherwell, his aim is to prove his long-term worth at Ewood Park where he worked under Fir Park assistant boss Archie Knox. The frontman aims to emulate the likes of Lukasz Jutkiewicz and John Ruddy whose successful loan spells in Lanarkshire led to moves to the Championship. He said: "My loan to Motherwell is about showing Blackburn I am worthy of a place in their first team. "I will take heart from Jutkiewicz because he did a great job for Motherwell and the fans really took to him. Everyone has good things to say about him so hopefully I can do something similar. "You get great exposure in the SPL and he has done really well for himself by getting a move to Coventry. "This is the last year of my contract so I knew it was going to be a big season and I had to hit the ground running. I scored nine goals in pre-season and just wanted to give myself the best possible chance to try to push on into the first team. "Coming to Motherwell will be a great experience and I still have belief I can get into the first-team squad at Blackburn. "It is a great opportunity to play European football and for the boys to qualify for the group stage. I started Rovers' pre-season friendlies against Hearts and Celtic so that must have impressed someone at Motherwell. "I was called into the gaffer's office on the Monday and told Motherwell were interested so I thought it would be a great move. I spoke to Blackburn coaches Steve Kean and Neil McDonald and they said I should go for it. I was also at Rovers when Paul Ince was manager and I know quite a bit about Archie. "I remember him shouting a lot but everyone listened because he was an authority figure." Rovers are at the centre of a multi-million takeover by an Indian businessman and if it goes through boss Sam Allardyce could get a £100million transfer kitty. That would make Blackman's target of a top-team place even harder but he's not giving up on his dream. He said: "It would be great for the club if the takeover happened because the more money they get, the better standard of player they can get. It would be good if they weren't working off such a tight budget. "Of course it would be harder for younger players like myself to get into the team if that was to happen. "But that is what you have to put up with in the Premier League. "I have a few friends at Manchester City and it's even worse there. "I definitely have the belief I can get into the Blackburn team. "My aim is to be the club's main striker but I have to do as well as I can at Motherwell and see where it takes me."

What the fuck is wrong with you? Were you bullied at school? Did you not get enough hugs off mummy and daddy when you were growing up? Honest to fuck, there must be some bona fide reason why you've turned out to be such a pedantic, patronising, argumentative, know-it-all, smart arse wanker. So what is it?
-
Well here's another one for you...you are a fucking prick...!!!

I'm guessing it's decorators number of trips abroad maybe? Odense, Aalesunds, Breidablik, Bucharest, Flumaturi (er, did he go to Albania?!! ), Llanelli (does that count?), Nancy and I cannae mind the order...but Mypa, Dortmund, Katowice and Utrecht for the friendly...? So do I win a prize...?!

Coincidentally, this was on the the front page of MSN...!! Are You Ready To Be Dad? "Kids are expensive...the average family forks out over £200,000 raising each and every child." "The little terrors can be a bit of a pain. They mess up your house. They won't let you watch the football in peace." "Are you done with the partying and wanting to be with your friends all the time?" "Can you bear to consider that you may not be able to make it to the game?" "Are you prepared to be pretty exhausted, at least for a while? "Are ready for 3am tantrums followed by 6am wake-ups?" "Are you ready to watch Toy Story 2 18 times (and counting!) and still answer questions about Woody's hat?" "If you value peace, sleep and certainty in life above all else, don't throw away the condoms just yet." Congrats Sydney!!!!

From The Daily Record: Europa League boost for Motherwell as Odense face losing star duo Aug 10 2010 Alan Marshall MOTHERWELL were given a boost yesterday with the news that Europa League opponents Odense could be without two of their star players when the sides clash. The Danes will almost certainly be without keeper Roy Carroll for the final qualifying round ties after the Northern Irishman damaged his hamstring at the weekend. And midfielder Johan Absalonsen could be on his way to a German club before the first leg takes place on August 19 in Odense as five Bundesliga clubs are keen to land the Danish international. If Carroll fails to recover from his injury in time to face Craig Brown's men, it will be a blow for Odense boss Lars Olsen. The former Rangers and Manchester United keeper has made the No.1 shirt his own since moving to Denmark in 2009. But the 32-year-old had to come off after 25 minutes of Sunday's 3-2 defeat by Danish champions Copenhagen and Olsen believes Carroll has no chance of playing in the Europa League contest. Carroll, who played just one game for Rangers in his year as Allan McGregor's understudy in 2007-2008, was replaced by Alexander Lund Hansen, who is very much seen as a back-up keeper. Absalonsen is being chased by a string of German sides and the 24-year-old has impressed since moving to Odense in 2006. Against Copenhagen he was watched by representatives from Bayer Leverkusen, Cologne, Mainz, Freiburg and Hannover. Absalonsen began his career at Brondby and was a teenage sensation, playing against Barcelona in the UEFA Cup at the age of 18 before moving to Odense to get more game time. He has been capped twice by Danish national coach Morten Olsen and is in the squad to play Germany tomorrow night. Odense's defeat to Copenhagen has left last season's title runners-up struggling at the wrong end of the Danish League. Manager Olsen said: "It is a bad season when you have just four points from four games. The players will have to work hard to get back on form."

There's a shock, eh?!

I'm hoping you've not booked any flights to go yet...!!!

I'm hoping for a Clydebank F.C. / "Wet Wet Wet" style sponsorship. "The River Detectives" or "Hue and Cry" been up to much lately? Any of them got a new album to promote?

That's a great phrase, I'm trying to picture an official MFC gospel choir in those seats right now...!!

I really appreciate the heads up OSH... I might save my money, and my asking for unpaid leave, for the group stage away games then!! Regardless, not sure our media will be hugely interested in taking the option up, not when one of the Ugly sisters are also playing in the same comp that night.

I'm totally unsure of what to do here... I'm almost ashamed to admit this, but I have NEVER been to a 'Well away game in Europe and me and my mate had agreed we'd make a fucking good effort to go to this leg if we got through the Aalesunds tie. The main problem for me is (aside from the normal financial ones) since i've booked to go to Oz at Christmas, I've got no holidays left for 2010 at all, not one single day left. So do I ask for time off unpaid, which is pretty much unheard of in my work, or do I phone in sick for two days and sit in the 'Well end with my Fonejacker balaclava on so no c**t recognises me?

A fairly decent scout report there from Uncle Rifle... Hope 'Flow passes it across to Jack n' Vic...!
