That's just the way of the world right now...been working from home since March last year, Microsoft Teams'd out ma box!! Wouldn't expect the club to be functioning any differently to pretty much any other business these days with regards to the "business-y" part of running a football club. It loses the personal touch in meetings, but the plus side is you can very easily switch off and sneak a sqwatch at Steelmen Online when your meeting loses your interest...normally after the first ten minutes!

I think the Celtic players may be a little more pissed off with Neil Lennon's comments to the national press yesterday rather than anything an opposition player has maybe, or not, alluded to on the telly. ... Lennon admits he is at a loss over how to arrest Celtic's slump. And, asked if the players were letting him down, the former Celtic captain said: "Honestly, at this minute I think yes, they are. And they have done for quite a while this season.

2-0 win to take us into a 1-0 win at Celtic Park. Yeah, I'm drinking.

I don't think the majority will expect there to be a change in the market in which we will be shopping in, or that much in that respect will alter greatly under this regime. The difference being that, given their management experience has been solely down south, you would like to think that the new team will have a greater understanding of the players available and what they can bring to the team than perhaps SR and company did. Time will tell.

Live next door to each other, typing furiously at each others posts, only a few feet apart through a dividing wall...

I've only recently started commenting on here after a lengthy self imposed exile, but I think I'll refrain from getting involved in all the cryptic shite in future, not worth the hassle. I fully get the discretion part, I'm not expecting names or anything, but to strongly allege at a problem within the club with regards to the management teams interest in the club's youth players or system, then baulk completely at the first very post asking for any explanation of sorts, seems to beg the question why make any sort of comment in the first place? Not having a dig, or starting an argument btw...
-
So what is the story? It's a strong allegation that the management team - (are we talking the old one or new one btw?) - don't take any interest in the youth players at all. I wouldn't expect day-to-day communication or anything like that, but the allegation here that there is literally nothing seems a tad unbelievable, or at least unacceptable if proven to be true.

Is she?! You not heard her murdering Flower Of Scotland?!

Should have the 'Axel F' tune lined up for if / when he scores. Probably loses something in an empty stadium mind you.
-
Exactly - some of these "my cock's bigger than yours" type posts on here are embarrassing.

That's kinda embarrassing for the lad. If I was completely shite at a job I was paid (relatively) handsomely for and effectively ended up getting my jotters, I think the last think I would be wanting is my misses causing unnecessary kerfuffles all over social media highlighting how hard done by I had been, thereby inviting all and sundry to bombard her (and by extension, me) with further proof of just how shite I'd been at said job. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

I don't do Twitter, but a quick Google search, it's been announced by the Daily Record Sport Twitter account - for what that's worth...!

Fair comment, but since the beginning of December, Celtic have been held at home by St. Johnstone (1-1), Hibs (1-1) and Livingston (0-0). IF - and I stress the IF part - we beat United and take 6 out of 6, why shouldn't the team be confident in going there and doing so also? I'd rather that than the alternative and the team rocking up to Celtic Park as we usually do in the hope we can keep it to 1, 2 or 3 to nil against.

Aye awrite, mate

Tell you what, having supported the 'Well nigh on 30 years, seen it so often the quick turnaround in performances. Granted, it is still a big if, but IF we can take 3 points from United next week, then we're going into the Celtic game on a huge confidence boosting high. It would not surprise me in the slightest then to take 1, if not 3, points off them, which would be absolutely massive for our season. Last nights result really needs to be a platform to build on.

Got to say, like a lot so far, I couldn't have told you one nugget of information of GA's managerial career this time last week, but having read on here and his initial interview and comments, I'm rather optimistic about his appointment. One piece of completely useless and pointless information, but I read on Google earlier that he played in 'Faddy v France' game in Paris all those years ago. You can do with that knowledge what you like.

After today's in depth discussion, I've realised I dont contribute enough to this forum.

Ah, got you. Been that long since I needed to be on a train, forgot what the area looks like over the last year!

Erm...whit's the 9 arches...?!

Mick McCarthy just been sacked by some Cypriot mob after only 8 games...might as well add his name into the mix now as well...!!!
-
Tony Pulis... ...maybe he could bring big Crouchy out of retirement...!!
-
Don't be ridiculous...we'd never had scored seven...!!

If any truth in the 'leaked document' all over the news the last day or so about Lanarkshire's expected Tier 4 restrictions, I don't think fans will be seeing live football at Fir Park any time soon.

Stadium and training ground back on agenda
KirkySuperSub replied to GregyScotland's topic in Club Chat
It's a Catch 22 until such times as it becomes a significant drain on finances and ends up costing us more in maintenance and upkeep than a new 'mortgage' would cost. How near we are to that point however, I've no idea. It's like my 10 year old Audi...120,000 miles on the clock...still ticking over...still reliable...and still getting me from A to B...however each year it is costing increasingly more to get it through it's MOT, and while it's not quite there yet, a few more years it will not be cost effective to do so... Question is, how soon will be at that point with 'The Old Girl'......?! -
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51840257 Coronavirus: SPFL warns clubs no money to cover closed door games Perhaps, but then what's the financial outlook for the teams forced to play to the end of a season with no income?
