  1. Team: Kelly, Mugabi, Solholm, Lamie, McGinley, Goss, Slattery, Maguire, Shields, Woolery, Watt. Subs: Fox, O'Donnell, Carroll, O'Connor, Amaluzor, Cornelius, Grimshaw.
  2. There's nothing wrong with it per se, but if the entertainment value continues to be zero with no hint of improvement around the corner, then they'll be doing it in front of empty stands before long.
  3. To be fair, the more important question is who the linesman was. He should be the one to make that call.
  4. I mean, he should have. He's actually positioned about 18 yards away, at the junction of the goal-line and the penalty area. From there, if he can see all of both of the keeper's feet it's an infringement, and if he can't see either foot because of the post, it's fine. But as you say, expecting him or anyone else to be looking at that while sensing the exact moment the ball is kicked is going to be error-prone at best, just as it is when making offside calls. .
  5. I would hope so, that’s pretty much his only job at that point. And if both his feet were in front of the line, the post wouldn’t be in the way.
  6. Yes, you’re right… I’m an overseas subscriber so I’d forgotten that
  7. White screen sometimes just means your subscription has run out. Presume it hasn’t in your case?
  8. Think that was our "not going to be our day" moment. And now we have a penalty, which will probably just prove it.
  9. Because that is what the manager has told his defenders to do, pretty much since the day he arrived at the club.
  10. Other than Flow's tweet, "bad face injury" is the only other suggestion I could see on Twitter as to what happened. Must have been a bad one regardless, hope he makes a good recovery.
  11. Were they ever? I'd hope the player with the most votes always won that week, even if there were more null votes.
  12. All words are made up. This one is in the OED, however. https://www.oxfordreference.com/view/10.1093/acref/9780199571123.001.0001/m_en_gb1008114
  13. As I understand it, legal enforcement doesn't start until October 18th. So if we sell more than 10,000 tickets, you might be asked for your vaccine passport to test our procedures (they have to spot-check "a reasonable number" of people), but they probably won't stop you getting in if you don't have it. But if we just decide to sell less than 10,000 tickets to avoid the hassle, we don't have to check anyone anyway.
  14. Fourth. https://www.geordiebootboys.com/opinion/why-did-newcastle-sign-mark-gillespie-opinion/
  15. I guess this is why we didn't play David Turnbull at right back.
  16. To be fair, plenty of folk on here thought he’d do just fine as cover. His scoring record for Thistle and Livi in the Premier league (a goal every 6 games or so) was perfectly respectable for a winger, although his number of assists wasn’t so hot.
  17. I'm not entirely sure he didn't... was a bit hard for a cross.
  18. Unless we lose by forfeiting the game due to the number of players we’ve had sent off, I wouldn’t consider getting beat to be a disaster. Good runs always come to an end, and we’ve often struggled a bit against Ross County. I still think we’ll win, but I’m not expecting it to be comfortable.
  19. Just turn the sound off? You can see what's happening anyway.
  20. The manager has form for not being entirely truthful about who's available and who isn't.
  21. Not quite. 51 of his 54 caps were while he was at Motherwell.
  22. Scotland... he's equalled George Stevenson's record, but he has a long way to go to catch Stephen Craigan's 51.
  23. Trouble with 5g is the range is much shorter, so you need to put the masts closer together. If people want the same coverage they had with 4g, there will need to be more masts, and they will need to go where they need to go.
