  1. The big Hampden pitch is virtually the same size as Fir Park. Same width, 5 yards longer.
  2. It did look a bit like we'd been told to only do it in certain areas of the park, first half at least. Never pressured Craig Gordon on kick outs, for example, which we've always done before.
  3. Fwiw, I think we might well have beaten Rangers today, again.
  4. You absolutely did, and to be fair, the Celtic fans joined in with that too.
  5. I don't think anyone really wants to put the boot in, and I've no doubt he's as gutted as anyone, possibly more so as the captain. I'm afraid he did have a shocker though... can't remember seeing anyone on the wrong side of an opponent as often as he was today.
  6. Same for most of us, I'm sure. Mind you, last Motherwell goal I actually witnessed was scored by Chris Humphrey, so we were never likely to score today.
  7. I don't really care what their political views are, but whether one agrees with them or not, there's a time and a place to air them and the Scottish Cup Final isn't it. Fitba' is what you watch to forget all that stuff for an hour or two every week.
  8. Campbell seemed to be the only person doing what we've done best in the other cup ties, so went for him. Disappointed when he was hooked, though Bigi certainly had a great game when he came on.
  9. I hope so... just wish we'd learn a bit quicker sometimes, as we sat off them far too much in the last final as well, with similar results.
  10. Posted at 9pm tonight... website is down as usual though :rolls eyes:
  11. Guessing they've just decided tonight to bring it forward to 12:45, presumably in light of roadworks etc.
  12. Paul Lambert has parted company with Stoke City.
  13. Jamie Murphy signs up for 3 years at Ibrox.
  14. I dunno... if we don't win this weekend, the record books would show we finished 7th and won nothing, albeit with a footnote about making it to both cup finals and keeping 20 clean sheets. Plenty to be pleased about, but not sure we'd be looking back on it in years to come as one of our most successful campaigns either.
  15. Nice work. Shame the lyrics in those first few lines still rank among some of William McGonagall's finest examples of rhyming and scanning

    Mfc Podcast

I've often wondered if they're even allowed to put half that music in a podcast as it is... some of it certainly sounds it like would need appropriate licensing (LOML?). I'm sure they've looked into it more than I have though!
  17. Not really, to be honest. Sorry. Cue "who's the bestest fan" debate, part 381
  18. D'oh. Hibs also use Ticketmaster for their online ticketing, so presumably somebody forgot to update a template somewhere...
  19. This article covers the sort of differences you typically see between "authentic" and "replica" kits: https://www.soccer.com/guide/authentic-vs-replica-do-you-know-the-difference. Don't know if this is the case with Macron, but I'd guess it is.... authentic tops usually retail nearer £100.
  20. Isn't that basically what we get? The shirts issued to the team are made of different materials from the ones us plebs can buy, so presumably they're off a different production line anyway. (Or at least, that's what the clubs who sell both versions claim, to justify one being twice the price of the other...)
  21. Indeed they won't. But given that playing shit is a hard habit to break, our chances of beating Celtic in that game are higher if we've been playing well and scudding other teams along the way. So maybe we should just be trying that?
  22. I'm looking forward to it, and I dare say I'll be a bag of nerves on the day just as I've been at every other trip to Hampden. But I have to admit, having faced Celtic in our last two finals, I'd probably be a wee bit more excited if we were playing somebody else for a change.
  23. I'll be popping over from Ireland, but that's not exactly going to have the local travel agents clamouring for my business. (Aside for anyone who may not have got the email: Well Society Exiles Club members are invited to a "Welcome Home" event at Fir Park on the Friday afternoon, hosted by Ally Maxwell.)
  24. Stretching the definition of jobsworth a bit there, methinks... literally just doing his job, which is more than can be said of a lot of stewards.

    Purple rain

The "I only wanted to see you bathing" part might be a bit awkward.
