  1. All true, but we're not talking about a transfer fee here, and the player won't be getting a cut.

    Lee Erwin

A bit, he has plenty of unfulfilled potential but we'll be happy with the half mil development fee we'll be due.
  3. As far as the strips go, Pantone use a different colour system for textile dyes than for print though, don't they?
  4. I'd take him, but I couldn't give less of a crap how anything we do goes down at Ibrox.
  5. I dunno. Confess I wasn't surprised when I thought he'd been given a red, but on the other hand I've seen harder shoves when folk are just waiting on a corner or a free kick coming into the box, and you never see anyone get a straight red for that.
  6. If we decided players' future based on the professionalism of their tweets, Cummins would've been gone years ago!
  7. Call me a miserable git, but nah. Unless we'd also have released one had we beaten Queen of the South 1-0 in the playoff, it would just smack of GIRUY because of who we beat, and that's the sort of marketing best left the the OF themselves. Then again, I've already got HD downloads of both games
  8. If you shove someone unprovoked (other than whatever verbals took place) you're always going to run the risk of a red. IMHO he should just chalk it up to experience and hope it makes him thinks twice about doing something that stupid next time.
  9. Works great when we can attract the best part of 8000 'Well fans to the Ark, but I fear it's not normally it's not a luxury we can afford.
  10. Have watched it a dozen times now and still have no idea why he tried to punch a ball spinning like that. Could easy have got two hands on it and pushed it over. What a shame.

    Baraclough Out

Well, we hired him to keep us up, and he did. Albeit not the way we'd have liked, but probably in a way that gave us far more memories than finishing a safe 10th would've, and by getting his tactics pretty much spot on when it came to the crunch. Think that earns him another crack of the whip, at least until January...

    Rangers

Good news if true, could also just be trying to release dodgy information to mess with McCall's game plan as well of course

    Rangers

Appeared to be pointing at his left hamstring at the time... I'm no physio, but I'd think he's a major doubt.
  14. Derek Johnstone (kind of) did, in the article everyone is slagging off. "It is understood Motherwell believed they had secured 2,000 briefs for Thursday night's Ibrox showdown and were prepared to hand 4,800 to Rangers supporters. However, they were given an allocation of 950 and Johnstone insists their response is set to turn Scottish football into a laughing stock by leaving a large section of the ground empty for such a showpiece fixture."
  15. Nah. Sadly he's pretty much done, and we parted company at the right time with him having kept his word to come back and play with us again before he retired.
  16. My dad was speaking to somebody last week (forget if at Q&A or AGM) who said they have multiple databases some of which go back decades, so they could tell you who bought tickets for the '91 Cup Final.... trouble is they're not all linked up at the moment, and consolidating them is one of the things that Big Les is getting them to do. So I guess it depends which one(s) they check Sounds like being a paid up Well Society member will be all the credentials you need this time anyway, though.
  17. Half a million IIRC, and a further £250k if you don't come straight back up.
  18. It's a pretty fact-free article, which doesn't help. Only way I can think they could even consider doing this is if the referee happened to see and make a note of the incident. Technically I suppose he could then be given a second red for foul and abusive language, but to get one retrospectively for something that happened before a match would certainly be a first as far as I can remember. Suppose it's also possible St Mirren have reported him to the SFA on a disrepute charge or something, but would you face a match ban for that, and so soon?
  19. Who? We don't have a Chief Executive.
  20. The Premiership team always gets home advantage in the second leg.
  21. If you think it's bad on here, just imagine what it's like over on FPC...
  22. Whoever we appointed would've been equally cheap, the salary wasn't negotiable.
  23. Only positive thing to say about today is that it's now 100% in our own hands again whether we go down or not. Has been a few weeks since we've been able to say that.
  24. To be fair, I don't really think questions will need to be asked. The new regime has made it clear that this has been a long-term problem at the club that they intend to address, and Erwin's probably the last of the guys we'll lose from having been developed the "old way". There's not a lot they can do about that now other than persuade him it's the best place to be for another couple of years, but that's a much harder sell today than it was this time last year.
