  1. That may be true, but at the end of the day MFC TV is an official club channel and you're not going to be hearing anything other than sanitised questions and answers on there no matter who we get to ask them.

    Baraclough Out

I'd be more than happy if all he did at Fir Park was get his minions to work hard.
  3. The short version, from the 'Well Society website:
  4. Anything I've read so far says it's an interest-free loan.

McCall's vision and tactics were the least of our worries. Basic player incompetence seems to be our biggest enemy this year, and that's a lot harder to coach out of people when confidence is low -- hence the 'ship in as many new players as we can and hope they turn it around before they get dragged down themselves' gamble, I guess.

Have only just realised he's the Steve Robinson I used to watch playing for Bournemouth in the mid-90's. (In a squad which also featured John O'Neill, Matt Holland and loanee Rio Ferdinand...)
  7. Cracked rib, so not much he can do other than wait until it stops hurting. (Or ignore the fact that it's hurting and play anyway.)

Not so I'm afraid. "Denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity" is explicitly a red card offence according to Law 12. http://www.thefa.com...misconduct.aspx
  9. Dreadful? I thought it was a Triumph...
  10. Plymouth fans on Twitter certainly seem disappointed about losing Nathan Thomas. Sounds like he could be just the man to land a few crosses on Sutty's head.
  11. Indeed it might. A closed-door friendly or two in our near future perhaps?
  12. There's also part of me that has the slight fear about trying to gel so many new faces into a squad when we don't really have too many games left in which we can afford to get it wrong. But I suppose we can't get it much more wrong than we've already got it this season.
  13. Can't say I've got my hopes up. Trying but failing to sign folk still means you've been "busy"...
  14. Odious as he is, if teams objected every time they didn't fancy a referee we'd never have any games on at all. You never know, he might even do us a favour for fear of being dropped again...
  15. Seems a bit that way sadly, immediate thought when I read he was involved in the penalty shout was "it probably wasn't a penalty then". That said, Dougie Arnott had a bit of a propensity for falling over when he first joined us, and he turned out not so bad.
  16. Thought he already had a pretty reasonable dig at the ref (not about the drop-ball incident) in his post-match interview, when he explained very carefully how easily confused the words "play" and "goal" can be.
  17. If the Sportscene highlights are still the same as the ones they post on YouTube, it won't even get a mention.

Sometimes, but I've known my fair share of crap managers whose superiors think the sun shines out of their arse.

This is true of course. But I'm sure most of us in those other walks of life have also experienced some managers whose staff are more than happy to do what they're asked, and others whose demands are generally met with the least amount of effort possible.
  20. I'm sure he has contacts, he was working as a scout for Huddersfield until he joined us. Unfortunately, having contacts is just one link in the chain; there still need to be players available of sufficient quality who want to come and play for us.
  21. Game off due to structural damage: http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2015/01/16/club-statement-kilmarnock-game/
  22. Presumably it does... Graham Rix is managing again, and Craig Thomson is, ironically, playing in the juniors.
