  1. A bit poor alright. I was going to say it was probably one of the Well Society summer interns being a bit over-zealous, but I've just read their names in an article and it's neither of them.
  2. It's entirely possible he's just not very good any more... it took him years to have a couple of good seasons with us, and he's averaged about 4 goals a season since he left.
  3. Doesn't help us exiles a lot unfortunately :/ One less incentive for folk abroad to join the Well Society too, as it was pretty much the only useful benefit on offer, even if it was only for a year.
  4. Fwiw, McCall confirming in the pre-match presser this morning that Euan Murray is definitely away.
  5. And eventually to being the token baddy on Fame Academy. But he did call Paddy Kielty a wanker live on air, so it wasn't all bad.
  6. Motherwell have often sent a team over to that in the past, seem to remember seeing photies of us playing Man Utd when Beckham played for them...? EDIT: And come to think of it, we won the first one, in 1983.

It can indeed, would just be slightly surprised if SPFL licensing allowed free to air webcasting of any games, geo-locked or not. But I'm sure our media manager is on it... oh, wait

Hmm. Wonder how that'll work for live commentary, and I guess we can kiss goodbye to our promised live video coverage outside the UK...
  9. Twitter is hardly the place for in-depth analysis, so I don't mind that. Though "we're gutted about the result" is kind of the football equivalent of the "I'm sorry if you were offended" type of apology.
  10. He does have a published squad number, it's 13. http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/players/first-team/
  11. Quite possible Clarky would be paying his own way, a busman's holiday in the sun with some of his old mates and the possibility of a contract offer at the end of it probably wouldn't be the worst way he could spend a few hundred quid.
  12. Confirmed by the man himself on Twitter earlier today. https://twitter.com/Muzz363/status/482913665621164032
  13. Depends. How much more money do you think we'd lose if morale was worse so we finished 10th?
  14. I'm sure we'd have a lovely day. (Somebody had to say it.)

  16. I can get to Bangor on the ferry in three hours from here. If it wasn't for the fact I only get back from my summer hols that morning I might have considered it :/
  17. That's pretty substantial for us, in the ballpark of what the board said was our expected loss for 2013/14. Would certainly be nice to have effectively wiped that out in one go.
  18. Good bit of business by the club I suspect. I was never really convinced Anier was going to set the heather alight with us, and McCall certainly hasn't let us down with bringing in goalscorers so far. So let's see who he's got up his sleeve this time.
  19. And do they get to announce it themselves?
  20. See, if folk would just read the website... http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2014/06/11/fulham-friendly-confirmed/
  21. It's too late for questions... the board already know, they've made it pretty clear for the past couple of years that our finances are on the slide, and when they told us the possible financial implications of booting out Rangers, some of which are arguably now coming to pass, we agreed to live with it on the basis that the alternative was unpalatable. It's all about coming up with answers now, and they're rather harder.
  22. It's a tough one. On the face of it £25 is steep, but cut that to even £20 and £8 for kids and you need to increase the gate by 25%. Would it really encourage an extra 1000 people to go along on top of the 4000 or so who probably will anyway? Past history suggests there'd certainly be no guarantee.
  23. From today's Scotsman: http://m.scotsman.com/sport/football/english/roberto-martinez-motherwell-shaped-me-as-manager-1-3429707
  24. Depends whether anyone wanted the promotion I suppose. Not everybody wants to be a manager, and for that matter not everyone who wants to be is much good at it... I've been working 21 years now and managed to avoid it so far, no' saying for which of those two reasons though
