  1. You haven't exactly posed the question in an unbiased fashion, which would render the survey findings invalid for any official purposes
  2. No question that's what they pay for. It would just be nice if they thought that distributing the money more evenly might improve the quality of all the games in the SPL, and then more neutrals might want to watch that Motherwell v St Mirren game on Sky, and more fans might drift back to the games, and everybody wins. Maybe

    Dundee Game

Would certainly say Dundee are favourites on current form and with home advantage, but who knows what magic McCall might work on the training ground during the week to rectify some of our recent frailties.

    Accies V Well

Took a deflection off the defender en route, which probably means it was an even better save, but also means he still didn't save off a 'Well player
  5. Since the new 'fishel site has a proper RSS feed, I'm discontinuing mine (the new site has broken them anyway). Hope some of you found them useful.
  6. Could certainly be doing with him in the team tonight.
  7. Perhaps, if they knew about it three weeks ago
  8. BBC still haven't noticed that Penney wasn't interviewed at all, then: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11781_6622138,00.html
  9. All appointments are "potentially disastrous". They're also "potentially brilliant" and "potentially mediocre". Downsides would certainly be that he'd be referred to as "former Rangers legend Stuart McCall" as often as "Motherwell manager Stuart McCall" in certain sections of the press, and it would give more ammo to the "h**s without a bus fare" sleverers.
  10. First impressions good, notice the registration page falls into the rookie trap of requiring a postcode though -- not all countries (including the one I'm living in) use postcodes
  11. It was always a nightmare to find anything other than the few stories linked from the front page -- too many long menus with inconsistent levels of detail, and no search box, so hopefully that's been fixed. And hopefully it has proper RSS feeds now so I don't need to maintain my own
  12. Had he kept his mouth shut, we might have had a chance, but the club probably think there's no point when he's already admitted doing what he was sent off for and apologised to the ref for doing it.
  13. From http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/de...ll-red-card-bet :
  14. Mediocre seasons are part and parcel of being a 'Well fan... just makes the good ones even better. We had plenty of them under Tommy McLean too, and that was the most "stable" period of our recent history. The only thing that would worry me would be the prospect of relegation, and I'd say there's next to no danger of that this year.

    Surreal

And, for all we know, might have unleashed a string of expletives at him as well, which is technically a red card offence.
  16. My original thought too, but this guy wasn't Brown's agent, and Brown did say (albeit later, IIRC) that "an agent approached him". All semantics I know, but at least he doesn't seem to have been actually fibbing about that, even if he was being economical with the truth.

  18. Sums it up for me, game came at a bad time for all sorts of reasons. Long layoff, no manager, opposition on a roll, poor crowd/atmosphere due to cold evening and TV coverage. The diddy referee was the icing on the cake, but can't really blame him for most of what was wrong last night.
  19. Half time. Improvement required...
  20. Arse, 1-0 Hearts, defensive mess. Reynolds OG off Randolph.
  21. Woeful = "traurig; bedauerlich; beklagenswert; elend {adj}" => Woefully small crowd == terribly/pitifully/dreadfully small crowd...
  22. http://www.viasattv.info/2010/11/ch-1.html also working well.
  23. Who was asking him to do "any more"? Most of us were pretty happy with what he was doing already.
  24. I see he's just re-instated Leighton as goalkeeping coach...
