How people on here can say that Skippy has been poor since he came here is beyond me . .the guy is different class to anything else we have , by miles . .you really wonder what people see when watching a match . .try looking at his movement , his coming short for balls to link up play , his running into channels , his talking other players through the game, and most of all his getting in and about defenders and unsettling all day long . .oh and by the way , he scores some goals as well . He is the best forward I have seen at FP in the 45 years I have been going , maybe Bobby Graham was on a par . .end of ! !

No harm to you Leanne but . .having played football at quite a high level and watched all levels since then , you obviously have very little idea about the level of player you are trying to defend here . .it was an embarrassment watching your so called good players . .I do remember you saying a few weeks ago that Straker would become club captain in the near future . .sums it up to me

When I started this thread little did I think that he would turn out to be the complete useless gaffer he seems to be . Today finally brought it home to quite a few people I think that he doesn't seem to have any ideas about a formation , motivation , plan B , and even worse the type of player required for this Division . How many players were played out of position today and looked lost . . How did he go about motivating the players during the game when we went behind . .again . how did he try and change the flow of the game ? As for the players he brought in , they will never adapt to the fast pace of Scottish football . .end of . .actually felt embarrassed for Straker by the end of the matchWe are not going to get out of this with this management team in place

Confirmed by his agent in the papers this morning that Solano is in talks with us about becoming manager ..BUT ..his agent says he would prefer to get a job back home ...great idea then , let him get a job back home !!!

The logical choice IMO would be Coyle ...but then again , when does logic ever come into picking a new manager ... Only other thing I would say is that if Adams gets the job , we really are goosed . We will look back in 5 -10 years time and realise the job SMC did for us .

Wish I could bottle it .... " how to win games " ...because my God we may not be the best side in the league but we know how to win football matches. I was just thinking how many times this season have I saw us hanging on at the end of games , looking dead beat but somehow managing to hold out for a win . Also , many people say that some managers are "lucky managers " ...well I would say that our manager comes into that category and I don't say that meaning to bring him down ..the total opposite in fact , I think he should get a knighthood for what hes done in 3 years , but he always seems to get the wee breaks at the time he needs them most ..yip , I will take a lucky manager anytime . For the 45 odd years Ive been following the team , I cannot remember an occasion , apart from '91 , that has made me more proud to be a Well fan ...thank you to all at Fir Park for a fantastic season once again .

Its all down to one thing ..money ...and we have none ...budgets will be cut again and there will be no money to offer these guys contracts if what Im being told is right , plus if any decent offer comes in for Sutton it will be accepted .

I hope you are right , but its not what I have heard ...if we have any 1 from Hutchison , McManus , Faddy , Ainsworth or Sutton her at the start of next season it will be a minor miracle !!!

Have to agree with the fitness points ...have been saying since the turn of the year how unfit the side looks overall ...an example being Ainsworth who looked unfit when he arrived , but he looks even fatter now . Its strange really because nobody is more fitter than Blackey and I cannot imagine he would allow slackers , but then again he isn't the gaffer . McCall played in Scotland at a time when Rangers were a side who by all accounts weren't the fittest , but team morale , drinking together , bonding etc was seen as more important ...wonder if that's the McCall outlook , which is unfortunate as things have moved on a bit fitness wise since then . No team has had more games than ICT recently , so it will be interesting to see how the 2nd half pans out tomorrow night , remembering that it was only recently that they swarmed all over us in the last 15 mins at Fir Park after playing in the Cup Final with ET .

A quick look at our recent results with Palm in goals doesn't make good reading ... DU at home ..lost 4 goals Killie ..clean sheet Albion ..lost 1 , should have saved it Celtic at home ..lost 5 ..at fault for at least 2 , 1 palmed straight for tap in Hearts away ..nothing to do Celtic away ..lost 3 ..palmed 1st out for tap in and gives away pen for 2nd Aberdeen ..palmed 1st one out for tap in and completely lost at 2nd goal ,ball 1 yard out Hard to think of anything positive to say about a keeper who clearly has never recovered from his bad knee injury , has no confidence to leave his line for balls even a yard out from him and will only get worse IMO ....at this moment in time he is a complete bombscare who will cost us 2nd and even 3rd in the league if he is not replaced . Surely McCall , who is trying to get a keeper in , must have some contacts down South to get a reserve keeper in from somewhere .

As I see it just now , our problems start from the back ...losing goals at set pieces is a problem . Neilson has height about him and surely if he was coming out for crosses etc that would help the guys in front of him out a bit . If nothing else , it would make teams think twice about hurling balls into our box if they knew Gunnar was going to claim them . The right hand side of the park is poor just now . Rammers will never get forward like TH did , so there is no threat from there . Faddy is no right winger IMO and for most of the time he will cut inside on his left ...ok you can argue that Robben does that all the time , but , this is slightly different . We have no pace going forward ...everyone knows that , so opposition can push up and tighten the middle of the park up knowing there is no real danger of a Humphrey or Ojamma breaking in behind them . It also means that with nobody getting to the bye line the type of ball up to Sutton is of no use to him. Anier has showed some pace and looks our only threat just now as ZFA is no forward thinking player . The gaffer and KB obviously realise all of this and have 2 weeks to get some loan signings in . Now that the PL has started down south , it will become clearer soon as to which suitable young players can be targeted to do the jobs required . Bottom line , you cannot keep rebuilding year after year and expect to get it right everytime ...hopefully , McCall will be able to get it as right as he can .

According to press conf , gaffer said Faddy will be signing within hours ...ah , we can all relax now and go back to the pool / bar / work etc etc

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Faddy only signs till Xmas ........

Why do we not have someone on each post defending corners ???? ... is this the keepers choice or the managers choice ??? cause it sure as hell bugs the life out of me watching the pathetic attempts at corners every game .

Went for Law ..a few good performances and a few average ones ..thought we were poor at both full back areas , 2 at the back did well enough . Centre mid played well but in the wide areas going forward we struggled . Up front we could still be playing and not scored ..they had 10 men behind the ball whenever they lost it and we couldnt get behind them enough to cause problems ...but , all in all I thought we did as well as could have been expected ...no other team will play as well as them at Fir Park this coming season .
