French striker heard we’re going to sign him
-
Not saying he did IMO 6 months in championship would be beneficial to both Scott and the team In the games to gate against lower half championship teams an a 1st division team he just about got pass marks Do you really think he’s ready to go head to head with Aberdeen Hearts Hibs Killie and the old firm ???
-
After tonight’s performance Scott would benefit from 6 month loan in the championship Still rough diamond that needs a bit of polish
-
Yip was the same guy who was sitting with Polworth and Tanner at Dumfries so he’s been around club for over a week No idea who he is or what position he plays
-
Personally I think that Scott needs 6 months at championship level Yip he did ok against QOS and Morton but if were honest there are still a lot of rough edges to his game that need to be ironed out When the league season starts he is going to be playing against better quality centre half’s than what he has done up till now
-
Yip is going to sign for MLS side who are trying to say they are a Cat4 club therefore we will get less compensation Club are disputing this and still hold his registration Most likely to end up with FIFA being involved so who knows when it will be resolved
-
I spoke to Tanner at Palmerston on Saturday and he said that he was going to be playing in a reserve game against Dundee a week on Tuesday Not sure where it’s going to take place Wished him all the best and he seemed upbeat about the outcome but also said it would take time for him to get up to match speed
-
Heard Sloth has a slight strain and was not being risked on that surface

I’m sure when Norwich signed Kenny McLean from Aberdeen they loaned him back to them for 6 months I think Turnbull has come on by leaps and bounds since he made his 1st team debut with us but he is still a work in progress As I have said on previous posts would his development be best served being coached by Neil Lennon and his staff or by the coaching staff at Norwich who nearly all came from Dortmund and learned their trade under Klopp. From the Norwich midfielders below who exactly is Turnbull going to replace ??? Vrancic German international U17 U19 U20, Bosnia full international Leitner German international U17 U19 U20 U21 Buendi Spanish international U19, Argentina international U20 Stiepermann German international U15 U16 U17 U18 U19 U20 Trybull German international U17 U18 U19 U20 McLean Scotland U19 U21, Scotland full international Hernandez German U18 Tettey Norway U18 U19 U21 Norway full international Thompson Wales U19 U21 Cantwell England U17 -
If someone wanted to invest in the club and take 25% 30% investment that meant that the well society would still be in control ……… then yes But who in their right mind is going to do that !!!!

He was down at Norwich for 1 day so not sure if he had medical ………… took about 4 days for his medical at Celtic Lets get the boy back to Fir Park and get our own medical staff to have a look and come up with their diagnosis and rehab program Personally I cannot get my head round why he choose Celtic over Norwich daughter stays there and I’ve been to Carrow Road on a number of occasions great set up really good people running the club with great facilities It’s also a nice part of the country to live -

What I don’t understand is Turnbull’s ambition re his development Norwich couldn’t guarantee him the game time that he was looking for but I’m sure he would have been loaned to the appropriate club so that he was getting the game time that Norwich wanted for him ( probably at a higher level than what he is at the moment) The boy Maddison is a prime example where he was sent to Aberdeen then went back to Norwich became a star with them the got a great move to Leicester for big bucks Who would you rather be coached by for your future development Daniel Farke, Edmund Riemer, Christopher John, Chris Domogalla Three of whom served their apprenticeship under Juergen Klopp at Dortmund OR Neil Lennon, John Kennedy or Stevie Woods -

Have refrained from commenting until now to let all the usual suspects have there tuppence worth £3M +whatever add ons for a club like ours cannot be sneezed at At the moment he has not signed …… club has accepted Celtic’s offer and DT can talk terms with them …… Bournemouth asked to be kept informed of any developments so I take it that the club have informed them of Celtic’s offer and it’s now up them if they want to match it OR better it in order to speak to DT …… who knows if any of his other suitors have also asked the same. No problem with the offer as that’s exactly what our business model is all about and the sooner some people accept that the better for all involved with the club. For DT development point of view think a move to Celtic is a bad one for him Still playing in the same league against the same players should be wanting to test himself in England or abroad against more technical players which I have no doubt he would take in his stride He would still be staying in the West of Scotland where he will be equally loved and despised by either half of the BIGOT Brothers ……… fine when he was playing for The Mighty but good luck to him trying to go out for a quite Saturday night !!!! The further the boy an get away from these idiots the better it will be for his development -
Oh yes he can he can sign PCA just as Declan Gallagher and Liam Pawlett have done with us ……… only difference is there is a development fee involved so he cannot sign PCA until fee is agreed with us or they deposit money with SFA
-
My understanding is if fee cannot be agreed then 50% of the difference between the valuations is added to the lower fee and is deposited with SFA Eg Rangers valuation £150k Motherwell valuation £750k difference = £600 therefore £300k added to £150k would mean Rangers having too deposit £450k with SFA which is closer to our valuation of compensation. It also means we would get our money up front and not be in instalments as I’m sure Rangers would like to do. When tribunal makes a valuation for the player if it’s under the £450k we would have to pay the interest on the difference and likewise if it’s over £450k Rangers would have to pay us the interest on the difference This to my mind is why Jake has not signed on the dotted line Rangers and Hastie can agree personal term but he cannot sign until Rangers deposit the money with SFA money I don’t think that they have to hand. Here’s hoping the club stands their ground and don’t give in !!!!

Think he saved 3 for Carlisle in a penalty in league cup shootout against Liverpool at Annfield -
4 out of 5 is not bad
-
I have it from a very good source that young Hastie came back for pre season over his target weight and not in the best frame of mind Hence he was sent out on loan to Alloa where he got good game time and got himself into shape but did not set the heather on fire with his performances When he returned he only got into the team because Elliot Frear was injured …… fair do’s to him he has taken it with both hands and hit a bit of a purple patch although in the games against Killie and Hibs the opposition seem to have sussed him out. He may well go on to be a world beater we’ll just have to wait and see But as I have said in a previous post we have signed Campbell, Turnbull,Scott and Maguire we made Hastie an offer which it looks like he has refused which is within his rights forba club with our budget to get 4 of our academy players signed up for next season is not a bad return Onwards and Upwards life goes on and we have a few more youngsters who will hopefully kick on next season …… Semple, Brown, Starrs for example Update that to 5 academy players as just announced that young Livingston has signed extended deal ……… well done to the club
-
From what I have heard the coaching staffs priority from signing academy players was as follows 1. Turnbull 2. Scott 3. Maguire 4. Hastie 5. Livingston considering we also signed up Campbell till 2021 all in all I think the club have done pretty well
-
Yip that is more realistic Heard it is £4K a week on a 4 year deal
-
Agree with ya beezer sometimes a player just sticks out see below my post back in September Its taken us a while to get there but all good things come to those who wait At that time I also said that young Barry Maguire would be our centre half for years to come …… we will just have to wait and see on that one Good to know I can still spot a “player” when I see one Posted September 21, 2018 Couple of years ago I watched a young Alan Campbell in the U20 and thought that he had all the attributes to make an impact in the 1st team which he has done once he was given the chance to do so. Also in that team albeit a year younger was David Turnbull and I have taken an interest in his progression ever since. I think that this boy has the ability and attitude to make it to the highest level in the game way beyond Motherwell To my mind he has all the attributes that Campbell brings to the table and a bit more, he can pick a pass and has hit a few screamers from outside the box. This is where I have a problem with Robison … … how do we know if this boy is good enough if he is not given a chance to show what he can do at a higher level. Yes he has been given a couple of outings at the end of last season and to my mind did not look out of place … but we resign Rose, Grimshaw and Gorrin and the boy finds himself way down the pecking order. If anyone is going to the Sligo game I suggest you have a good look a this young boy and see what he could bring to the table IMO he is way beyond his years and if only like Campbell he could just be given a chance who knows where it could lead to.
