I wonder what the long term plans are for Knowetop Primary. The councils are offloading buildings and land all over Scotland as budget cuts take effect. If(and its a big if) the land it sits on were to become available at some point in the future would that be a viable proposition to build a new main stand there and effectively move the Hunter Stand to where the O'Donnell stand is just now. Probably not feasible or practical logistically or even affordable but could be something worth thinking about as a possibility in the long term should a move to Ravenscraig be ruled out completely.

Club 100 charging £17. Thought the club would undercut that or at least match it. -
Had a wee chuckle at that post on FB I must admit. Its actually quite worrying at the amount of our supporters who don't understand the structure of the club. Some of the responses are what you would expect if we were fighting a hostile takeover. Reads like Executive Board=good guys WS Board= ******s I despair sometimes.

Just what I thought. A bit like the Tories electing a new leader who later turns out to be a member of the Labour Party. A bit far fetched but you get the drift.

Added the caveat about the 2nd yellow after my initial post so don't know if you replied before you saw it but he was definitely talking to someone before dishing it out. As you say I'm not complaining and it makes a pleasant change to see decisions going for us.
-
Yet both were reviewed by VAR and given?? The 2nd yellow not as obvious but he was talking to someone on his mic before dishing out the card so I'm assuming it was the VAR team or at the very least the linesman to confirm his decision.

Strange Morton is the preferred loan club considering the way Imrie sets his team up and is all about 100% effort and closing players down and that is what seems to be lacking in Stupas game. Might be the exact reason he's going there to learn the dark arts right enough.

Just imagine what this place will be like if we get beat on Friday night. It's actually getting quite depressing at times coming on here especially after a game and I now tend to avoid it like the plague.

Trust Steelboy to find a negative out a positive

Aye something as simple as a message on the online platform to that effect. Not every kid carries ID though.
-
The problem seems to stem from youngsters who turn up at the game having bought tickets online then getting knocked back because they can't prove their age at the gate. Surely then the club could come up with some sort of register where if you're 14-16 say, you register with the club providing proof of your D.O.B and emergency contact details, (important if someone takes ill during the game for instance) An online account could then be set up by the club and some kind of ID card issued to be shown to ticket staff and stewards that would avoid the majority of the scenes we currently witness at the turnstiles. Not foolproof by any means and there would be a cost and some effort required by the office staff but surely something worth looking into. Assuming there's no real problem if they have season tickets??.

I'm sure all the CEOs of the clubs meet up regularly so that's something that should be on the agenda. Its daft having different ages at different clubs because it just causes confusion
-
That's what I said, 14 years old and above can be unaccompanied.
-
Truthfully I don't know but I assume it's up to each individual club to set what they think is an appropriate age to meet the safeguarding guidelines. Don't know about other Scottish clubs but Man Utd don't let any under 14s in but Fulham is under 16 for example that's why I'm assuming it's up to individual clubs but I could be wrong. I used to get dropped off at home games when I was 9 but that was in the 60s but the world's a different place now. Authorities overreacting? Possibly but that's a social and political argument. Personally I think 12 is about the right age.
-
My understanding is that it's 14 years and above. Now it's public knowledge and we know the legal reasons behind it, can the ones who are maybe borderline(ie look young for their age) not just bring some form of ID with them then we don't have the situation where they're denied entry by the stewards or is that too simple.

I would guess that it would take circa 6k pw to secure his services. Do we really want to splash that kind of cash.
-
Considering I was talking to the doorman in Club 100 and witnessed the whole thing along with about another 100 people then yeah maybe they should have.
-
I believe it all stems from the Partick Thistle game when there was some kind of altercation after the game down by the Steelworks and a number of them were lifted by the polis. They also chased a Thistle fan who had their drum into the ticket office, scared the shit out of the office staff, grabbed the drum off the wee guy then tried to take it into Club100 and were told to bolt by the doorman. I imagine it was something to do with one or both of those incidents Youthful exuberance????
-
99% of them are great guys who I've interacted with many times especially at away games but there is a tiny element who overstep the mark at times. Maybe its this Ultras phenomenon where its about trophy hunting ie pinching drums/banners from opposing groups and leaving graffiti/ stickers all over away stadiums (which the club gets billed for the cleanup). It's up to the more sensible ones to keep them in line and I think a wee get together with the WS guys and club officials to set out some guidelines on what's acceptable behaviour and what's not is called for. Just using a bit of commonsense on both sides really as we don't want this to escalate.
-
Fair enough Should have elaborated with "some of the more idiotic members"
-
Some of the more sensible ones have but the ones involved with the drum incident haven't. That's the facts.
-
Also banned from Club100 because of their shenanigans after the Partick Thistle game and "Drumgate" I love the atmosphere they bring but there is an unsavoury element(admittedly tiny)within them that really needs sorted out

F**k it just play with Ox and 10 forwards.
