Last post on this. I'm fuming that Kettlewell didn't have the balls to go with some dignity although I can understand why he did what he did. I'm absolutely fuming that a few arseholes who think they can shout whatever they like have put us in this position. I'm also fuming at the club and the Well Society for putting out statements that effectively tar us all with the same brush as the arseholes above and given the press a field day. I'm actually beginning to question the whole set up of the club as we look like Amateur night at the Palladium. Seriously considering just walking away after 60 years.

All they needed to say was although we recognise the right of our fanbase to criticise and voice their concerns, we also recognise that a small vocal minority may have taken their criticism a bit too far and we would urge them to consider their actions going forward so that it does not reflect on the wider fan base and cause negative publicity for the club. Or words to that effect

Frail probably has 3/4 games to show what he can do. Thats assuming he would be interested in throwing his hat into the ring. Will be interesting to see if he has a different mindset in terms of tactics and formation to Kettlewell and gets a reaction from the players. Long term who knows but don't think it will be any of the ones mentioned.

Bust ups in the dressing room that become common knowledge rarely end well for the manager in charge.

Think one if two things will happen. Either the players will be so happy to see the back of him and having the shackles off that they go out and have the game of their lives OR They go out and its the same old same old only with someone different in charge (Frail). We'll find out on Sunday.

Aye there's that and he is very adept at using the media to his advantage so shifting the blame onto the fans would leave him looking like the wronged party. Maybe he's overstated the level of abuse but there's certainly been some personal stuff directed at him which I've witnessed personally that was out of order. As you say we'll never know what's been said between him and the Board. Either or I just don't think the inevitable headlines will leave us looking in a very good light as a club.

Frail is an interesting one. I wonder if he supported Kettlewells tactics or whether he just went with the flow. Looks like he's very popular with the players at least. It'll be interesting to see what kind of team and formation he puts out in the next 2 games assuming of course he is asked to do that. If its major changes then I think we can assume that he and Kettlewell might not have been on the same page.

As much as I think he would get us organised and safe from relegation I can't see it happening.

Probably inevitable but at this moment in time I feel a bit ashamed being a Motherwell fan given the circumstances. Some of our support really are *****.

That's the thing that got me. We were under pressure down the wings and he brings on a guy who hasn't featured all season on the right and a guy virtually in the door and straight onto the team bus on the left. Not exactly the best of circumstances to introduce them. Said to my mate after the final whistle that if we had brought on Casey and Balmer instead we would probably have won that game.

Miller was ploughing a lone furrow most of the time with little or no support but at least he offered something in an otherwise poor midfield. For the boys sake I hope he finds a good club in the window if that's what happens but from a purely selfish point of view I would like to se him stay and help to get us back on track. Personally I don't think we've looked the same team since he was injured.

I've kinda made peace with myself that until Miller is back(assuming he's not away this window) and Slattery can last 90mins then we're not going to have anything close to a functioning midfield so I fear it wil be more of the same for the forseeable future at least.

I'll re-itterate. I sit near him ar Fir Park and can hear pretty much everything he says. He is loud and animated, gets exasperated at times, throws his hands up in the air and questions decisions but I have never once heard him swear or use foul and abusive language towards any officials. He just needs to calm down a bit but no different to many other managers on the touchline.

That was me. As a former Referee(many many moons ago) shouts from the touchline comes with the territory and you generally try to ignore it but the point I was making was that since his public outburst about Casey's ordering off he seems to have come more to the attention of the officials. How many cards has he had since then 2/3?. Did anyone notice that after his yellow card on Saturday for 15mins afterwards every 50/50 seemed to go to St Johnstone? A coincidence perhaps but that was what I used to do if the voices from the sidelines started to piss me off and believe me it always worked. They would either quieten down or work themselves up to a frenzy and a red card, either way it had the desired effect. Kettlewell is very vocal but no more vocal than any other manager in the League with maybe a couple of exceptions and I've never heard him swear or be abusive but he certainly likes to challenge decisions that he thinks were wrong which should be his right of course.

If its insurance I dread to think what our premiums must be🤔

A bit off tangent but in a similar vein, did St Johnstone fans not hold a demonstration outside the main stand at their last home game (although that might have been against the board and not the manager). Hearts held a similar demonstration I'm sure as well as the recent walk out by the Rangers mob. If fans aren't moaning about what's happening on the field then they're moaning about what's happening off it.

That's the $64000 question. We've certainly got the players capable of doing that, whether Mr Kettlewell takes the reigns off and let's them is another matter. I just feel that confidence looked very low yesterday and we need a good performance and a win to give the team and fans a lift. Maybe a couple of new faces might provide the spark we need.

We're perfectly capable of getting a result. Putting things into perspective and leaving aside our poor display, it's not as if St Johnstone ran over the top of us or created numerous chances so I fully expect another tight game on Saturday which could go either way. I certainly hope we at least compete better than we did yesterday. There's nothing to be frightened off from St Johnstone that's for sure, we just need to be more up for it.

As the old saying goes, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome.

I've been very much on the fence with Kettlewell and been happy to give him leeway because of our exceptional injury situation but im afraid he's got 45 minutes to stop me falling off it into the out camp. There's definite Sligo vibes in the stands just now.

My Hearts supporting mate doesn't think there's anything in the Casey rumours as it's seemingly just one guy who claims to be in the know who posted in one of the Hearts forums. They've just signed 2 CB's and have 2 currently injured so unless they're planning on changing their entire back line it seems a strange signing but then again you never know.
