I'm hoping that he's already got a shopping list for next season assuming we stay up He must have loads of decent players in mind but harder to attract them if we're playing in the championship. Still think there's a place for the recruitment guru to identify players but we must do more due diligence before signing them. IE make sure they're no crocked or at least played in the last 6 months.

Probably but at the same time do you think a player who was captain of a relegated team would be an automatic choice for Scotland. More likely to get picked if he comes back into the team and plays out of his skin and drags us out of the relegation zone.
-
I would go further and keep young Johnstone at RB and play O'Donnell in right midfield, that way both full backs have got protection in front of them and our midfield is instantly strengthened.
-
I would be absolutely devastated if we were to go down and there would inevitably be serious financial implications long term if we didn't come straight back up and the danger is we turn into another Falkirk/Dunfermline. But I must admit a tiny little bit of me would relish not having to watch us play the usual teams 4 times a year and getting the chance to visit different places and grounds and be involved in a promotion battle instead of the usual battle to keep out the bottom half of the table.

I fear the stars are lining up against us unless we can get a semblance of a team on the park PDQ.

Looks like he could keep County up single handedly the way hes going

Just scored and guess who Jordan feckin White!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Snarling and spitting at every tackle. How I wish!!!

The fact a 17 year old rookie gets the vote says it all really. Now all we need is someone to play in front of him so hes got someone to pass it to and give him a bit of protection.

It's been apparent since the start of the season that something's been going on in the dressing room. My view is that GA has come in and tried to sort it with some success but not enough to sort it completely so you have to ask yourself what exactly is the problem. Even his body language on the touchline tells a story now. GA has inherited a clusterfuck by the sound of things and I for one can't wait till next season when he's brought his own players in and hopefully still in the top division. In saying that I think he's made a few mistakes in formation but that might be down to the players he's had available and can trust to do a job rather than being a bad coach. He's also still to get to grips with the Scottish game which must be completely different to what he's been used to. My only worry is that if the players brought in January are his call then I would be a bit worried about the calibre of player he can attract in the summer but in saying that that might have been all that was available in our price range so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Then again it might not even have been all his doing. Resigned to the fact that our fate will come down to what we do after the split when hopefully we've got our injuries/ sickness issues resolved

And Alexander looking like hes asking himself "what thefuck have I done coming here"
-
Maguire off Hes lost the feckin plot

Our confidence looks to have totally gone which is more of a worry than getting pumped today. At least results are doing us a favour (as it stands anyway)

St Johnstone have been playing 3 5 2 recently
-
Feck knows what we'll do if any of the front 3 ever get injured
-
Out with non covid related illness apparently

I get the need to keep quiet any news that could help other teams but on the other hand the lack of updates about whats happening squad wise tends to add the the air of current negativity about the fans forums so there has to be some middle ground. I think if we knew there was light at the end of the tunnel then we might be a bit more upbeat

I'd like to think that when this season is finished someone from the club will come out and explain the rationale behind this signing policy, whether we targeted these players and whether we knew what their fitness levels were and didn't really expect them to figure until the latter part of the season (which is fine by me if that was the case). Not expecting any trade secrets as such just the reasoning.
-
Don't think it will be either but I wouldn't expect them to plaster the full story all over social media
-
Going by that none of the new guys with the exception of Lawless are injured then, just not match fit yet presumably. GA will have a squad of about 30 to pick from in March/April by the looks of it.

I've watched them a few times recently and like you say, they play the way I would like us to play in that they are solid back to middle, give little away and are set up to be hard to beat. That is why we need to match them in the middle of the park. Offensively they don't worry me as much but if we let them get the first goal they will be hard to break down. Saying that its in our own hands and if we don't get a reaction to yesterdays debacle then I'm not sure what will motivate this set of players. Hopefully it was just one of those days and we get back to the way we were playing prior to this game.

Having watched the St Johnstone v Celtic game earlier I have the fear for this game. Saints midfield look really strong and we need to match them in there otherwise we could be looking at a re-run of the Accies game. They will shit fest it and we need to be up for the physical challenge and I just hope we get a response from the players. I would even go as far as to consider a 4 5 1 as we really need to take something from this game. I would quite happily take a borefest 0 0 after yesterday.
-
Playing 4 3 3 against Accies was always a no no for me. We all know how they set up so to give territorial advantage to them in the middle of the park was always a recipe for disaster. Not saying 4 3 3 doesn't work for us just not against Accies as it plays right into their hands.
-
Ah well the new manager bounce was good while it lasted
-
Well everyone really, but I think Rice will have identified Tony as our main threat so will single him out for some "extra special" attention but as GA says play our own game and let the opposition worry about us. Accies supporting mate reckons they're not too hot at high balls into the penalty area.
