I still have horrible memories of when they were given the RHS of the POD stand directly above the disabled section and having to listen to the disabled fans being called every name under the sun (can't even bring myself to write down some of the words) so you can imagine, being spat on and having drinks thrown on top of you. Try explaining that to a young guy with learning difficulties who is in a wheelchair who I support at games. Funny how it never happens with any other teams other than the old firm.

Darvel Juniors now sponsored by Browning ? (Killie pie man) got a budget of 75k next season and have just taken half the Colville Park team and their management down there.

Davie first and foremost is a 'Well fan so he was always going to make sure that when he leaves the club it would be well recompensed hence why he signed his new deal when he could have easily done a "Hastie" He also has enough faith in his own ability to know that he will continue improving to the stage that he will have a choice of clubs to join when the time comes. A very mature level headed young man who will do whats best for him and Motherwell FC and hopefully go far in the game

The linesman didn't even raise his flag. Ref gave the penalty then was asked by the Dundee players to go over to the linesman who said the ball was out of play. They spoke with each other for a good 10/15 seconds so how long does it take to say "was the ball out" and "yes" The linesman was 5 yards up the pitch and the Dundee players body was between him and the ball so not also has he peripheral vision but x ray vision as well. Linesman was getting pelters all day from the disabled section for not being up with play and that was just the icing on the cake. You could tell by the look on his face when we scored the 4th that he knew Turnbull had got him out of jail.

Doesn't matter who it was to. That word went out with the dark ages. Just remember you have one of the biggest disabled supporters clubs in Scotland and that word is extremely offensive to them.

Grow up and show a bit of respect

Great video to announce it as well

That brought back great memories. Texaco Cup matches, the days of the old "choir" standing at the top of the steps and ending up at the bottom of them every time we scored a goal. Happy days!! Was fortunate to get Gordon Banks' autograph on the match programme as well.

2018/19 game 25: St Mirren (A) Wednesday 6th February
santheman replied to texanwellfan's topic in Club Chat
You can be sure that St Mirren will be set up to try and stop us playing. -
Good game where we ran out 3-1 winners, Bigi with a cross cum shot that went over the keeper and into the postage stamp Scott with a 20 yard rasper and McKinstry slotting home a through ball under the keeper. All in all a pretty good game. Mbulu went off injured early on Bigi strolled it McCormack got 75mins under his belt Donnelly went to CB when Mbulu went off injured and tbf looked pretty decent there. ATS didnt appear for the 2nd half ??!! The young CB Hussain looks pretty good on the ball as well.

Which was probably down to him being just a wee bit knackered by that stage? -

More than just a word. Tait was giving him pelters about not picking his man up on a few occasions -

The Bois Infiltrated by a Hibs fan apparently. -
i really expected him to start with the same team and formation he had against Hamilton with perhaps a minor tweak here and there then introduce the 2 new boys at some point in the 2nd half depending on how the game was going. It was always going to be a midfield battle against County and we basically handed it to them on a plate with our formation.

For me it all depends if he is still commanding the respect of the dressing room, it certainly didn't look like it on Saturday judging by the look on some of the players faces at the end of the match (although I do accept it may have been nothing more than the disappointment of losing the game)

Unless there's an ouija board in the dressing room then no

The stewards knew from the start that the gazebo was going to be opened up because they asked all the disabled fans to sit in the LHS and leave the rest for any overspill from the main stand. Probably waiting to see how many PATG fans turned up before doing it.

You can usually park in the underground car park at Morrisons( easier if your father in law has a blue badge) Takes you straight out to the turnstiles
-
Wee bit of retaliation going on as well apparently. Some nice new artwork on one of their stands. Hope it doesn't develop into any more of a tit for tat situation
-
Just to let everyone know that the collection raised over £1200 which will go a long way to pay for the upgrades needed to the disabled facilities

It's because they would be sitting right above the wheelchair section and in the past (albeit when we've been playing Rangers and Celtic) we've had to put up with people banging on the roof of the shelter, having stuff thrown on top of us and the verbal abuse that seems to be the norm. I would like to think that it wouldn't be a problem when we play other teams but who knows.
