  1. Great video to announce it as well
  2. That brought back great memories. Texaco Cup matches, the days of the old "choir" standing at the top of the steps and ending up at the bottom of them every time we scored a goal. Happy days!! Was fortunate to get Gordon Banks' autograph on the match programme as well.
  3. You can be sure that St Mirren will be set up to try and stop us playing.
  4. Good game where we ran out 3-1 winners, Bigi with a cross cum shot that went over the keeper and into the postage stamp Scott with a 20 yard rasper and McKinstry slotting home a through ball under the keeper. All in all a pretty good game. Mbulu went off injured early on Bigi strolled it McCormack got 75mins under his belt Donnelly went to CB when Mbulu went off injured and tbf looked pretty decent there. ATS didnt appear for the 2nd half ??!! The young CB Hussain looks pretty good on the ball as well.
  5. Which was probably down to him being just a wee bit knackered by that stage?
  6. More than just a word. Tait was giving him pelters about not picking his man up on a few occasions
  7. i really expected him to start with the same team and formation he had against Hamilton with perhaps a minor tweak here and there then introduce the 2 new boys at some point in the 2nd half depending on how the game was going. It was always going to be a midfield battle against County and we basically handed it to them on a plate with our formation.
  8. For me it all depends if he is still commanding the respect of the dressing room, it certainly didn't look like it on Saturday judging by the look on some of the players faces at the end of the match (although I do accept it may have been nothing more than the disappointment of losing the game)
  9. I honestly never ever thought I would contemplate saying that after 50 years of supporting Motherwell I really don't want to go and watch us anymore. If that doesn't ring alarm bells with the hierarchy then they must be oblivious to what is happening in the stands
  10. Unless there's an ouija board in the dressing room then no
  11. The stewards knew from the start that the gazebo was going to be opened up because they asked all the disabled fans to sit in the LHS and leave the rest for any overspill from the main stand. Probably waiting to see how many PATG fans turned up before doing it.
  12. You can usually park in the underground car park at Morrisons( easier if your father in law has a blue badge) Takes you straight out to the turnstiles
  13. Wee bit of retaliation going on as well apparently. Some nice new artwork on one of their stands. Hope it doesn't develop into any more of a tit for tat situation
  14. Just to let everyone know that the collection raised over £1200 which will go a long way to pay for the upgrades needed to the disabled facilities
  15. It's because they would be sitting right above the wheelchair section and in the past (albeit when we've been playing Rangers and Celtic) we've had to put up with people banging on the roof of the shelter, having stuff thrown on top of us and the verbal abuse that seems to be the norm. I would like to think that it wouldn't be a problem when we play other teams but who knows.
  16. The Disabled Supporters Association will be having a bucket collection at tomorrow's game to raise funds for improvements to toilets and access for wheelchairs. Any loose change would be most welcome.
  17. Reminded me of playing football on a beach in Tenerife
  18. My mistake. Theres such a dearth of humour on here at times it’s sometimes hard to spot when there is.
  19. A friend of mine who works for a company who sells artificial surfaces explained the difference between 3G and 4G to me as:- 3g is made entirely from polythene based products and has no rigidity so needs the black infill to keep it erect. 4G is the same but has a nylon based root which let's it spring up so doesn't need as much infill. An old boy apparently once asked him how you keep it short to which he replied you cut it with a lawnmower with plastic blades.
  20. And hopefully the club have kept all the contact details of those not already known to the club who bought tickets for the final for future mail shots to build on the feel good factor and hopefully attract them back on a more regular basis. Although the new data protection laws probably make that a bit more difficult!
