  1. Well at least we're now talking about it on here which will hopefully generate some interest (and cash) for the Club. I think we,ve all had other things on our minds lately on the playing side and the initial enthusiasm has gone a bit cold. (to be honest who has given it much thought since the launch?) The Club should grasp the nettle here and perhaps organise some more open nights or man an information stand at the next few home games to try and get things going again. Personally, I think if they allowed a monthly direct debit of £25 over 12 months then I think that would apppeal to a lot more fans rather than £100 or even £50 at a time. Edit does anyone know if that may already be the case ???
  2. Glad to see Murph staying but a question. Where has the figure of 250k come from because I,ve only read about that on here and the bbc/itv websites. As far as I know the Club haven't confirmed officially that was the bid (or have they and I,ve missed something?)
  3. Some video footage of the east Stand
  4. Here here. Strange thing today was a guy who stands beside me at all the games and who spends most of his time moanin about Higgy turns round on 60 mins and says "we're missing the big man today" Ye just cannae win!!!
  5. Hats off tonight guys you even got the Cooper goin. I,m sure the players enjoyed it and especially big Higgy who I think really appreciated being singled out for special praise instead of the shit he's had to put up with lately. Onwards and upwards Got some footage that I'll try and upload tomorrow

    Ojamaa

I'd gladly chip in something every week to get him on a deal ffs I'd even stand outside with a collecting bucket before games
  7. just watchin the game on Alba and its nice to know the abuse I was givin the ref during the game turns out to be well deserved. Some of his decisions in particular the Clancy yellow card were just feckin unbelievable. Brilliant night great performance great support roll on Saturday Goodnight!!

I see the story about the wee disagreement has gone global It's reached the Hamilton Advertiser
  9. Having seen every game home and away this season there is no doubt that the atmosphere at the away games is much better and that our supporters enthusiasm and optimism definately seems to rub off on the players.Even when we went through some sticky patches in these games the support never waivered so if we can do it away from home why can't we do it at Fir Park. And anyone who says we pays our money etc etc and can shout anything we like should take a long hard look at themselves.
  10. I actually fuckin despair at our so called supporters at times. So we struggle at home against teams who defend in depth and hit on the break. We are no different to Liverpool then!!!!
  11. Hopefully the funds that we raise from season ticket sales and match day tickets will eventually mean that we can carry out all the improvements we would like to see without the club having to pay for them. Obviously major improvements might be outwith our reach but we can certainly do things that our funds will allow.
  12. Cannae believe it.Had a brilliant conversation with him about the 'Well in the Tynecastle car park on Xmas Eve. A nicer guy you couldn't meet, Condolences to hisfamily
  13. Totally agree. His pace keeps him up with play and gives Humphrey more options if he gets past the fullback. Interesting to see if McCall gives it a try in a league game
  14. First of all, let me dispell any ideas that MFC are trying to profit at the expense of disabled fans. They have never charged for any disabled fans to attend Fir Park but have bowed to pressure from the fans themselvesduring the close season to allow charging. This brings us into line with most SPL clubs who already charge. Ironically the only clubs who don't charge are the Old Firm!! We have set up the Motherwell Disabled Supporters Group and the club have generously allowed us to keep any income from sales of season tickets (season ticket holders number in the region of 20 or so) and allow disabled supporters and their carers entry to league games for £150 per year. Non season ticket holders and away fans are currently charged £10 for entry to games. ALL income is in a seperate bank account and will be used to improve facilities for disabled fans. Already we have created a paved area under the South Stand for away fans so that they can be beside their own supporters instead of being beside home fans in the bus shelter. I know it sounds very harsh charging blind fans but you cannot discriminate between disabilities and our next project is to purchase a loop system so that blind/visually/hearing impaired fans can hear live commentary of the games. The installation of a lift in the Cooper stand will be welcome as we will be able to partake of a beveridge or two before games and offer a deal of comfort to watch games although some still prefer where we are as you are quite close to the action although the view isn't all that great.
  15. No direspect taken MJC as I said exactly the same thing to him. I only used that example to highlight how badly I thought we defended when a guy who is a bit of a joke figure (even with Rangers fans) and has only scored somethin like 2 goals in 2 years manages to stick one past us. Sorry to have rubbed you up the wrong way
  16. As my Celtic supporting mate said to me "You f*****ng let David Healy score against you" just about sums up the day. The only thing that imprerssed me today was the Ibrox public address system
  17. Don't you think its a co-incidence that we play our worst game in ages when he was out of the team at Tynecastle? I can think of some we could afford to lose before Jenno.
  18. Hearing that there are bits of the east stand roof flappin about. Ah well at least it'll be water flowing down the steps instead of urine
  19. No surprise there then, what can you expect when the compliance officer has no football pedigree and his background is investigating war crimes. Only the SFA could make an appointment like that.
  20. What's a bit worrying for me is how does this new fast track system actually work in practice. Does the compliance officer sit down on Monday mornin and go through 90 mins of footage of every SPL game from the weekend looking for incidents that the referee missed. Maybe he listens to phone ins or trawls through forums looking for clues. If thats the case where does it all end, does he look at every tackle, every off the ball incident and decide that the Ref missed a yellow/red card incident and decide to start issuing them retrospectively? He currently has the power to issue bans and my worry would be that could be the next logical development in the process.
  21. Just back in and defrosting in front of the fire but worth it. Just over 400 'Wellfans made the trip according to the SJ head of security.Well played again lads for the vocal backing.
  22. Just goin by what I was told by my mate who is a Hibs fan and was in the South stand that there were still big queues at the kiosks when they were told they had to leave.
  23. I,m assuming he was talking about gate receipts but It would probably have been more than that as food sales would have been badly hit as well. Wonder what they did with all the pies?
