  1. Logan Dunnachie doing the business again. 3 2 Clyde
  2. I still don't know why McMahon Dickie and Feeley thought this deal would be good for the club but am prepared to cut them some slack as I think in their own minds they must have genuinely (but foolishly) thought it was the best way forward. The 3 of them are died in the wool 'Well fans so why would they want something that would harm the club they've supported all their lives, that's the thing I can't get my head around. Regardless of that I would like to think that they will now do the right thing and resign their positions and allow the new kids on the block to pick up the reigns and drive the club forward but be there for any help or advice they are asked for because at the end of the day they have been relatively successful at running the club regardless of recent events. What we don't want is some kind of power struggle.
  3. Unless either us or Thistle had made a total cock up in the early games then it was always going to come down to who wins next Sunday.
  4. Same old shit from the usual suspects. 😴 Boring.
  5. Think it's one of these things that might look better in the flesh. (Hopefully🙂)
  6. Think he's played a blinder considering he's been piggy in the middle between the 2 boards. Hopefully he can now get on with the job he signed up for.
  7. Realise that giving actual amounts might not be possible but it would be good publicity to even be told how much it's gone up in percentage terms. All adds to the feelgood factor.
  8. It would be interesting and a boost to the fans if the WS let us know how many new members they've attracted since the news broke and how much the DDs have increased. I know that the WhatsApp group I'm in with some mates (20 in total) who are all WS members are all increasing or already have increased their monthly amounts. I think we may be pleasantly surprised.
  9. It's all very well getting minutes into legs but I think Kettlewell now needs to think about what his starting 11 for the league is going to be and start planning his team selection around that in the next 2 games.Hard when we're obviously carrying some injuries to potential starters I know. We were always going to have to get a result against Partick to win the group unless they have a 'mare against Clyde or Edinburgh City so a dropped point tonight hasn't really changed that. Like everyone else says play with 2 strikers please and stop all this sideways and backwards passing. Bad enough suffering it for 2 weeks at the Euros. Anyway a good day out at the seaside in spite of the result and performance. Thought there was more at the game than announced(a tad over 1000 I think but someone correct me if that's wrong).Good Motherwell support up for a Tuesday night. A mate text me to say he felt seasick watching the coverage as the camera was all over the place??.
  10. Aye gie it a rest SB. Getting boring now.
  11. Its taking speculate to accumulate to a whole new level.
  12. Yep done that. I'll see what happens before Thursday.
  13. Anyone know if all the emailed voting papers should be out today or if it will be over the course of a few days? Not received mine yet☹️.
  14. McMahon would probably claim the casting vote.
  15. 100% this. As you say here and P&B are pretty much on the same page so while it's good to have a healthy discussion, we're already preaching to the converted. It's X and FB where we need to win the battle by persuasion and encouragement to ask those with a different opinion to yours to listen to both sides of the argument. I've had a modicum of success on that but its frightening to realise just how ill informed some of our fans are about how the club is actually run on a day to day basis and the difference between the Executive Board and the WS.
  16. 2 choices. I either go and support my wee team and stop my DD to the WS in protest or I accept the democratic vote and get behind the team, increase my DD and hope that everything EB promises comes to fruition. Probably the 2nd as I couldn't walk away after 50 odd years of supporting my team but a lot of fans maybe would.
  17. There's one thing certain and that's politics and religion should be nowhere near a football forum. All it causes is arguments.
  18. Hopefully not in block E
  19. See the last day has me worried. Already there is a definite split in the support that is in danger of becoming acrimonious (if it isn't already) which will do us no favours at all down the line. Thankfully it's in the main respectful on here and P&B but the signs are there on other platforms that this could turn really nasty. At the end of the day it's down to who you trust most with the future of our club and I know who that is for me but I totally respect the fact that others might not agree including some of my close 'Well supporting friends (not many I might add) I will however do my best to bring them round to my way of thinking.
  20. First reaction. Very detailed and well put together(as you would expect) but doesn't really address all of the issues highlighted here and P&B with the exception of what looks like a promise not to increase their shareholding beyond what they have stated by including covenants preventing this.
  21. The only time I see anything like this is when a company is in serious financial difficulties and someone comes in with a ridiculous takeover/merger offer which is accepted because nothing else is on the table and they're desperate and have no choice which is as far removed from our situation as it can get.
  22. Aye Some people need to wake up to the fact that everything in this proposal is loaded in his favour. Yet there's still some who are saying "but it's money we wouldn't otherwise have" without realising the ramifications or totally dismissing what the WS have published. If I go by my circle of friends who are mostly WS members and who I gauge as a typical cross selection of ages and abilities then I think this will get kicked into touch.
  23. Think we need to see what the result of the vote is first. If EB's proposal is kicked into touch then I would imagine one of two things will happen The Executive board either spit out the dummy and leave the WS to it or they admit defeat and work with the WS to implement their ideas.( I know what my money would go on). If EB's proposal wins then we're into different territory altogether and I fear for the survival of the WS in its present form and can see a lot of acrimony surfacing from within the club and the fans. Would the WS call an EGM to overturn a democratic vote if it didn't go in their favour and risk an even bigger split in the support? Doubt it.
