  1. We've also got a new CEO on the executive board who I imagine will do what his new bosses tell him rather than what he thinks himself. I say that assuming he has voting rights.
  2. I'm sure that in a reply from our finance director to Vietnam on P&B he was told that the executive board would explain the valuation of the club in a statement early next week. Or maybe I just imagined it as my brain is becoming scrambled.
  3. Thanks for your insight. My take on it is there's a lot of talk about the valuation of the club and suggestions that the figure has been artificially lowballed by the executive board to make the proposed investment by EB look more realistic in comparative terms. Now I'm assuming that this figure has been verified by an outside scource (at the very least our own external auditors) so unless someone knows different I'm prepared to give them the benefit of doubt that the figure quoted is correct based on up to date accounts unless there's a lot of creative accounting going on. If that's the case then someone has a lot to answer for both from fans and EB himself. Regardless of the valuation of the club (if it had been valued at 7/8million would EB have been prepared to double his offer?). Is 300k a year better than zilch. Regardless of all the above the terms and conditions attached to the deal make it a no go for me.
  4. Now over 3800 as of last month. What would be interesting to know is a breakdown by type/age and how many actively contribute monthly or have made a one off payment but don't contribute monthly That would give us an idea of how many " active" members we have who tbh are going to be the ones targetted to dig into their pockets to support any WS initiative.
  5. The thing I'm finding it hard to get my head around are the motives of the executive board behind recommending acceptance of what on the surface looks like a shit deal. As far as I know they're all die hard Motherwell fans who surely want the best for the club they've supported all their lives so why would they accept something that could potentially affect the future of the club and cause division among the support. Is there something going on behind the scenes that we're not party to or have they just had enough of running the club and want out at any cost or something else?.
  6. I'd actually like to know what the rationale and mindset of the executive board was when they recommended acceptance of this offer. Do they know something we don't?. A blind man could see what the reaction of most sensible fans would be after the details were made public.
  7. It might be as simple as that but I'm sure EB's financial people won't just have accepted the figure without at least doing due diligence as to its accuracy. Presumably because he wants it paid off as quickly as possible so that it doesn't show up as an outstanding liability should he decide to jump ship in 6 years time
  8. I'd be more than interested in how he and his financial people came up with the 4m valuation of the clubs assets. If the ground (and presumably all its infrastructure fixtures and fittings machinery etc etc are not included in that figure) what makes up the 4m. Players? They can be classed both as assets or liabilities depending how you look at it. Cash in bank? Outstanding debtors? Then you have to offset any liabilities against that which are? Us mere fans will probably never know.
  9. I'm not on twitter for that exact reason. It's actually quite a reasonable debate on P&B with one or two exceptions.
  10. I'll give tbe guy kudos for going on P&B and fielding all the questions the way he has as he didn't have to do that but still more questions than answers for me. I await the WS counter proposal with bated breath.
  11. I'm hoping to wake up and find out that it's a typo error and there should be a 1 or 2 in front of the figure
  12. His name is Joe Wark He's the king of the west He plays at Fir Park And he's one of the best. Halcyon days.
  13. Probably the same guy who boos him everytime he comes on the park. Don't understand why anyone would get so wound up about a player. Good riddance if he does give it up and one less a******e to put up with on social media.
  14. At least you didn't use the word "shite"
  15. Seconded. Soundbites and clichés are all very well and our potential investor makes them paint a pretty picture but I'll wait till we see the actual amounts he intends to invest, how it would be used and what he's looking for in return before I make my mind up.
  16. C'mon now Wellgirl don't spoil the rhetoric with facts and figures
  17. I wouldn't know as I've had him on ignore for months.
  18. 2 year deal for Nicholson. Happy with that.👍
  19. I would say that the lower league teams tend to have a more settled squad who know each other and have a set style of play and formation whereas we are usually blooding new players and trying out different things so can look a bit disjointed in games. Can't say I've noticed much difference in general fitness levels in the games I've seen tbh. That's my theory anyway.
  20. So reading that it looks like the rumours of us already having him on a PCA might just be that.
  21. My only real recollection of him was the free kick he scored in the dying minutes against the Midden in Paisley to win 1 0. Scenes that day.
  22. Maybe Butcher just wanted to go back down south. He'll get a gig down there no bother at all. We'll never get to hear how contract negotiations go with players and quite rightly so. The rumour mill has certainly dried up quite a bit since Caldwell came in and again quite rightly so as the leaks coming out of the club in the past have been ridiculous and possibly cost us potential signings.
  23. If its a choice between Mugabi or Obiley as has been rumoured then Big Bevis gets my vote.
  24. He'd be quicker telling us the ones who aren't pish
