  1. It'll be linked to my Cup Final tickets in some way or another -not overly fussed The lad I went up with also go a season ticket and no reciept but he did notice at the time the lads infront of us never got a reciept for their cash ST purchases so he thought nothing of it at the time. I'm going up to get a tickets for the Killie game tomorrow so I'll ask about how they're being processed tomorrow.
  2. Fair enough. I'm just a bit paranoid as they just took the form off me, told me about WELLevate and pretty much told me to take the extra book incase I ever need to occupy a wean. No reciept given or timescales discussed. Not the best ticket office experience I've had so far but to be fair after a 4 hour wait the obvious questions to ask we overshadowed by relief over eventually getting served . Thanks for the responses
  3. Did any else buy a ST on Monday at the ticket office? They took both my ST & Cup Final forms from me, told me about WELLevate and told me the books would be posted out to me. Walked out of there with Cup Final tickets and pretty content that after 4 hours queing I could relax. Been wondering how long i'll be waiting for the book to come through the post and have just seen my seat selections are still available to buy on the ST seat selector online that went live mid week. Does anyone know if I should be expecting this soon or in a couple of weeks?
  4. They're already on sale mate. £40 exclusive online preorder with £6 postage. £45 without preorder if bought instore. £6 extra for postage if bought online. I thing the William's 'chop' looks minted, the other design isn't to shabby either however i'm probably not alone in hanging back on the preorder due to not having a photo of the strip. When can we expect pics of the same or the finished result online Alan/Dave?
  5. Yes mate, the standing order is free to setup but larger instalments. The direct debit is smaller instalments but is arranged through Zebra Finance so you need to pass a credit check in order to go down the finance route. Hope that clears it up for you.
  6. X2 Also, is it supposed to be £40 then VAT added at checkout. I thought the pre-order was £40 minus postage if applicable.
  7. I really like it. It looks great and the fact its going to be polyester as opposed to cotton is indeed a nice modern twist on a retro design. That being said, I'll not be buying anything til i've seen the finished product -hope it lives up to my expectations.
  8. I never really payed attention to him mate, if i was to report him then my description would be "a man with glasses and a shite attitude." I would have done without my beer to get in, there were only 2 other Well supporters in there and about 8 rowdy Gers lads. The only silver lining is that I only spent a tenner. That £15 quite saving on the ticket price will cover my petrol til payday after I've blown my cash on a ST and Final tickets.
  9. After waiting for my so called mate to turn up I decided enough was enough and I'd need to get a ticket & head in. There must have been 20 or so folk in the queue a few minutes before kick off and the Nazi steward wasn't letting any other Motherwell fans join. The small queue of Rangers fans continued to get larger but this Nazi Blue-Nose Steward was having none of it and happily to turned loads of people away... I wasn't really that impressed when I got to the Lecky and seen the stands had plenty of room for a handful of extra fans wanting to part with their cash and get in.
  10. Nazi stewards knocked me and a load of other folk back at the ticket office. Bastards.
  11. Sorry but i find it complete nonsense that because you have an understanding of Ryanair's operating procedures you presume they must be the same to every other Airline that flying between Singapore/NY to the UK. Your absolutely right though, it's off topic, so....
  12. The Cooper is out of the question for me, I need to be relatively central to the halfway line to be able to see both ends of the pitch and I can't afford a POD seat just now so it's got to be the East. There's a few seats in the row 'S' but not in section C. I think I'll be looking at row 'S' of sections B & E but trying to get as close to the halfway line as I can.
  13. I'm not denying there may be folk hired by Ryanair to do this dirty work but truth be told I wouldn't expect a human decision to influence these prices. It would be an automated system that number crunches based on purchase rates/seat availablity as a fail safe until a 'scheduler' can figure what has caused the surge and adjust prices accordingly if, any seats left at all. I work in finance and we have 2 systems in place to do this for us with another being implemented in Q3 of 2011. A depending on the availability of flights and size of craft they could struggle with availability. (A 777 will take over 300 but a 737 will take around 120.) Either way there may only be 2/3 flights out per day heading for the UK and they never tend to be lacking in passengers so trying to get home for the Thursday and get settled could be a tricky task for Scottish expats. I think 200-300 expats sounds about right for the game but these flights are seldom empty when flying so trying to get these many folk on a plane with limited space would flag up if they all tried to book within an hour of the game finishing. Both our systems act quickly and we figure it all out shortly thereafter.
  14. I hope so mate, I really do. If they don't get a ticket I'll be giving them mine. I wouldn't feel right going to the game knowing they were sitting in a pub after missing out on a ballot. Very good Singapore has a huge British expat community, is it really that "far fetched" for airline to take advantage when they can? Here's a wee scenario for you: Imagine a company seeing their ticket sales going through the roof for some unknown, weird reason. Thousands of people online checking flight availability and pricing for the same flights for Cup Final week and loadsa reasonably priced seats disapearing rapidly..... If you owned the business would you not try to take advantage? Give yourself a shake. Simple business decision - demand went through the roof and they adjusted prices to capitalise.
  15. That's a great point mate, that's going to settle it for me tbh. I was sitting in the back row during the Dundee game and my view was good overall. I had been considering trying to get closer to the pitch but I'm a far from being a lover of sun, sunglasses or hats. Truth be told as a big lad (6'4") I'll probably be more comfortable up in the back row anyway. I'll be less concious of spoiling some poor sod's view and more focused on the game itself. I'm outta positive rep for today guys -I'll get it to you tomorrow though. Thanks for all the comments and responses, that pretty much settles it for me.
  16. I put my 'uber fan' suggestion up on the shoutbox for you Toi but will echo it incase you missed it first time round. I the way it should have been rolled out would simply be ST holders first, then general sale. I think the club allowing anyone purchasing a ST to get in on the presale is a fair shout to bring guaranteed income & attendance for them but regardless of that it should be general sale. There's always going to be people that miss out on tickets but it's less of a shitter if it's not down to "the luck of the draw." In regards to these expats, they both bought tickets within the hour of our victory in the Semi after the prices shot up. Their intentions were for their son/daughters to go down to the TO to buy tickets for them. Now they have to anxiously wait with their fingers & toes crossed in hope that they are "lucky" enough to be selected at random or to see if those expensive flights are just for a wee family visit whilst the game is on. I'm sure they considered lots of options but I'd pick general sale everytime over bloody ballot.
  17. Thanks Gaag, a POD ST would take me over my budget. I'll be buying a ST for the East Stand + 4 cup final tickets so that pretty much destroys the disposable income I had to last me to pay day. Relieved to hear you say that the girls will give a bit of guidance on this though. Thanks mate. A great point actually, I've only been to one home game and I did have a pillar blocking my view at one point but it wasn't really in a crucial area so I put it out of my mind ans seriously hadn't considered it when looking at the seat selector online. I think I best get in early tomorrow and have a scope for a decent seat without any pillars in the way of the game. Thanks guys.
  18. Okay so I've decided I'm going to buy a season ticket for 2011/2012 so I can get my tickets for the final on Monday. I've not heard of any planned open day for those looking to become ST holders so I presume I should know the exact seat I'm after before visiting the ticket office? I've had a look the official website for a seating plan and have only found the seat selector for purchasing tickets for the Rangers and Killie match which has helped a little but will the girls in the Ticket Office show me a more accurate plan of available seats when I'm in? I'm anxious to get this right. It's alot of money and I don't want to balls it up. If anyone can answer these questions or shed anymore light on this I'd really appreciate the help.
  19. Lennon is putting it down to speculation so far but I wouldn't be surprised if he was a high priority target tbh. http://www.sportinglife.com/football/scottishpremier/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/11/04/29/SOCCER_Celtic_Lennon.html&BID=425
  20. Haha!

    Preferably weak and tired though?!!

    Cmon ye Well!

  21. Seen on the Well Shop's FB page that the 125th Anniversary strips are due for delivery in June so the design must must be finalised -I'm curious to see what it's like.
  22. Alrighty mate, nothing set in stone yet but I'm wanting to do the Pre-Party thing to watch our 1991 victory the night before. On the day itself I'm hopefully heading to Cooper for it opening, jumping on the club bus if it's on, watching our boys hopefully lift the cup! Then home to the Leccy Bar to celebrate. I've got nothing in stone yet though. You and the Mrs got any plan...

  23. "Goonies never say die!" ;-) C'mon ye well!
