  1. Sorry Jay is this not the line up most of you want? Thought we wanted to drop the pace and concentrate on a slow methodicle build up through the middle!
  2. Jennings--------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------Hughes----------------------------------Lasley---------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------Law------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------Lawless---------------------Daley--------------------------------------- Keep the normal back four, Drop Humphrey and Murphy and Higdon, this line up will will provide a pacey counter attackng option, with quick ball through the middle of the park, with the pace of Hughes and Lasley, and the obvious threat in the air from Daley. This line up will provide plenty of crosses, no missed passes, Technical Ability, Pace and lots of tracking back and good tactical movement off the ball to free up space for the free scoring midfielders. And more importantly no Passengers. Ill look forward to the De-brief at 1730 hrs Saturday night! St Johnstone 1- Motherwell 3
  3. No im not... but it is not helping matters is it, it wasnst long ago when Higdon was going through the same poor run.... If We are wanting to get 3rd place, the issues that were clearly on show coming off the pitch Friday need to be resolved, Players fall out, but at the end of the day they all want to win. Humphrey and Murphy will come good, might mean a bit of chopping and changing with the formation but they will come out the other end im sure. Confidence
  4. He will dont worry, Once Higdon stops moaning at him... Humphrey and Murphy will find the form again, and when they do, 3rd place will be set in stone. Jamaicans love the Snow!
  5. Most players will be watched, with Humphrey form not being at best yet, clubs might be looking for a good deal, last season his form merited the interest, just because a player is having a dip in form that will not effect the scouts looking for a steal, if a club can get a player on the cheap its worth the gamble. I know Humphrey will find his form again soon, so it might be worth looking at offers.
  6. Its silly season as you know...so it wont be long untill the next player will be linked to a number of clubs... It happens every year, year in year out. Last Season it was Murphy was it not.
  7. Its only a matter of time before the players will find there form again, Friday was blessing in disguise, with all the players arguing with eachother, this week in training there will be some true words said, and maybe some grievances aired. That will do the trick im sure, And because of the poor first half Friday, they will be looking to put that behind them. 3rd Place is still very much on, watched Celtic today and even they dont look great, i can see both Rangers and Celtic dropping more points over the next few weeks. Hearts look useless, and prob something to do with not being paid over the last few weeks, think they have lost thier will to battle, and why should they when they dont get paid wages or bonuses. Next weeks game is a good chance to bounce back. Away win and secure 3rd place.
  8. Stevediggle Put your perfect start eleven on ...i am keen to see who you select... come FIFA Manager 2012 let me see it!
  9. It my opinion, so ill share it , I wont accept constant abuse of humphrey, so as long as you slate the lad ill comment on it! Humphrey is playing no worse than Murphy... but Murphy seems almost Craggs like bullet prove. And one for Higdon, yes he has scored a few goals i admit that so i accept you challenging me on that one, but not as many as he should of scored. Some players work better with others... The more Higdon moans at Humphrey and Murphy the less you will get out of them, encouragement works much better. Stevediggle...... thanks for the compliment, sometimes i talk shit! :wank:
  10. There is clearly some problems, in the team.. as they were arguing as they came off the pitch, when you have a number of players not performing, the pressure will verberate around the team, Higdon, Humphrey,Law, Murphy, have not performed over the last few months so that will have an effect on their confidence. I know Humphrey will be the target of the blame, but he is by know means the only player under performing. But i admit Humphrey is yet to show us his best form. Murphy, Humphrey and Higdon although not firing at present have more to come. We are sat 3rd in the table with argueabally 3 players short of form, i admit the Humphreys form will be highlighted more than the other two because he seems to be the focal point of are attacking options. Once Higdon starts finding the net, Murphy shows his potential, and Humphrey gets back to his old form we can only look onwards and upwards.
  11. Conditions must of played a part surley.... another Baltic windy night.....
  12. Just not clicking at the mo, Higdon up front can jump all day but that tactic seems to fail at home. Back to the drawing board i would say... disjointed firsthalf, but was looking forward to a reaction in the second.
  13. I am struggling to register for MFC TV.. any ideas why i cant access the payment page?
  14. Thats a good point, when he did cut in he scored,
  15. Yes thats right, Its Humphrey to blame of course, i was waiting for that. Why dont you write to McCall and tell him that then.. He clearley rates the lad, hence they drop him and he is straight back in the next week. . Because without him it was awfull. But you right he has not performed to his best yet, but like i always tell you, if he is on the pitch he will create the space for others. Murphy has been great this season aswell has he not ? No he hasnt.... Thats why he was dropped last week. The team is doing well. Hateley and Humphrey work better together than any combination down the right hand side, Thus Tom Hateley getting more assists than any other player in the team. Steelboy when i see players at the club doing better than Humphrey (on the right) ill agree, but we look weaker without him in the team. Maybe a better centre forward.... or a better creative midfielder.... No we dont score because of Humphrey, Not Murphy.... Humphrey. Typical.
  16. Who knows KMcalpin, but we will soon find out on Friday, but as it stands you have already highlighted we dont score at home, but it seems to work away, 3rd in the table, is not a bad return, even if we are not scoring at home. We dwell on the ball too long in the centre of the park, lump long balls over the top for Higdon to flick on.. thats seems to be our only game play. Hughes might be the answer.... then again he might not... Midfield really do need to chip in with more goals, and we play one up front, so the stats will always be down.. with 50% strikeforce light. Go with Daley, Higdon up front give it another go!
  17. Good post this one, it does make sense, and we would still have the threat of awsome pace.
  18. I agree with this post in part, but the reason it is not working is that there is no creativity in the middle of midfield, Hughes could be the answer, on the creativity front. With Lasley injured it might actually work in our favour by forcing McCalls hand in team selection, i dont think we are ready to just dump Humphrey and Daley playing together just yet, lets see what its like without the gale force winds and the creativity that Hughes is expected to offer.
  19. It was a tough game to play regardless of the weather Saturday, yes conditions were awfull, so an attractive game for the pureist was never going to be the case. No stand out players Saturday, I did like the look of the start line up, but without the creativity needed in midfield it was always going to be a struggle, not sure if Hughes could of been the key, clearley his fitness levels are not up to speed as yet. Hopefully Friday weather will be better, rain you can play against but gale force winds ruins any chance of good football. Murphy on the bench, was a good idea and it will only benefit him as a player and Motherwell as a team, even if he would of started it would not of made one little bit of difference. Higdon done well, along with Jennings, they suit the scruffy game were good old fashioned Non league kick and rush seemed to take over. It was clearly a battle out there of which no team came out on top. 0 - 0 was fair result.
  20. Another home win, same team as last week no doubt. Go at them from the wings early doors and hopefully get there noses ahead, always got Hughes and Humphrey to benefit from the tired legs late on. Daley up front with Higdon, playing just behind and see how it goes. Motherwell 3 Dundee Utd 2 Higdon,Daley, Humphrey (Of Course).
