If the bets were a one off, it seems to be a little over the top arresting so many people, not sure thats proportionate for one Offence, this leads me to thinking there is more to this than meets the eye. Maybe other Offences have not been disclosed to the public. 'Conspiracy to Defraud' Is easier to prove than Fraud outright

Open game... but can see us sneaking it.. hold firm @ the back and we will come out on top!

GLANCY thats what he does with his Headers!

TBH What have Dundee United shown to merit 3 points, we are more than capable of going there to win, nothing less. We are not sat 3rd in the SPL for nothing, playing away will play a major part in steadying the ship some what! 3 Points for me, but i suppose its not the end of the world leaving with a point.

Humphrey!

Pretty much agree with the Starting 11. McCALL will not change his team unless injuries hit us, like East Stand said the team seems to be working at present so why change it. A few have become frustrated with Higdon, but McCALL has stated he is used for all the set pieces and corners, so i can agree with him on that front. Playing away from home will work in our favour, prob not a better team in the league at quick breaks, just need the final touches to fall our way. Dundee Utd will fancy there chances and will be pushing up at every opportunity, whcih in turn will leave them open at the back. The team selection for this match is tricky to say the least, Higdon, Murphy, Jennings,Humphrey have all been highlighted as players that we could do without next Sat, and bringing in players like Forbes, McHugh,Page and Daley, not sure that will happen if im honest, the game will be very tight and will open up late on, if we can keep the score down first 70 minutes we will have a chance. Higdon must play, set pieces etc, Murphy although not playing great will start for the just incase factor(meaning in case he returns to form) The choices we have will be Jennings, Humphrey, do we drop Humphrey to play Daley one for one like swap with no suprises from the bench late on.... or do we drop Jennings for McHugh or Forbes to give us some attacking threat? How about playing both Humphrey and Daley out Left and Right respectively, with Lasley and Law through the middle, With Murphy or McHugh sat behind Higdon up front. We are sat 3rd in the league let Dundee Utd be thinking they would be happy with a point not the other way round, i say go with the attacking intent and see what happends. We can do it im sure of it.

Positive 3 Nil Well.... ok then 3 -1 as we seem to gift most teams a goal or 2.

Good Shout Jimmo! Daley for Murphy...
-
Well McCall must see them in training to make those decisions, like you i can only trust the Gaffer in his team selections and if your not starting he cant see them as good enough. I reckon Humphrey will improve with the arrival of Daley, not only to offer comp for places but overall footballing knowledge he can pick up from him, Omar is 30 years old and an international player who whether we like it or not has played at a much higher standard than most of our players in the squad. That with Humphrey watching him can only help him improve him as a player.

If we are playing the form in the last 10 games overall why is Murphy playing other than his 3 goals or so ? If Humphrey was diabolical Saturday what was Murphy, Higdon, Lasley, and Jennings, Hamell Craggs ? Humphrey played very well last night and deserves a start spot Saturday if not injured. Murphy was poor again and so was Jennings, but i would still put them in this Saturday as they are better than we have from the bench

I know what your saying Steelboy but options at the back our even more limited than the attacking ones! Clancy is not great but the manager brought him in so that pretty much sets his place in stone! In all honesty we need at least 3 new defenders under 24 years of age, but that wont happen unless we bring Gannon back....
-
Why cant both Humphrey and Daley play ? and where does Murphy come into play as he is clearly not fireing on all cylinders lately! or is that just me that sees that, i know every game throws a different perspective for each individual but is he playing well and meriting a start spot? Brown on Saturday will be preparing his team to face the pace of Humphrey down the right and he will be prepared to double up on him at every opportunity, this will play into our hands as Daley will be bombing down the left with as much if not more pace that Humphrey, this will create acres of space through the middle or gaps all over the place, these can be utilised by the passing of Law/Forbes, its an exciting prospect dont you think, i can agree that Forbes might merit at least a chance to do a job in the middle, but Murphy has done nothing so having Murphy on the bench should not really effect our attacking options, Humphrey does track back but there will be times where he will need to breath, as i dont know about you but im sure when he puts the after burners on it must effect his ability to track back at the same speed.

Yea your right Wee G, he can sit next to Craggs, Murphy, Jennoe,Forbes,Higdon and any other of the failures we have at the club
-
Good point Scott, i like your thinking Humphrey looked every bit a danger last night, and he showed some real pace down the right, Daley and Humphrey together would be if nothing else box office to watch. Maybe even play Daley along side Higdon, or just behind, food for thought.
-
Interesting line up Ya Bezzer Does Murphy merit a start spot based on performances over the last 4 weeks? Could Daley play wide left and leave Murphy on the bench? Have you dropped Humphrey because he was injured or based on last nights performance? Can Forbes be effective in the creative spot you have dropped Law for? I must admit that Jennoe has not been himself for a while now but some might argue that most of the midfield have been out of sorts of late. I do like Higdon not only because he is the only real Striker we have but he puts in a good shift every game. without having to type out another full team i will highlight the players i believe merit there start spots.
-
I agree in part with you, yes the whole team needed a rocket after the performance at the weekend, i think we will get a reaction tonight, it might be a chance to change a few players around, but i would also argue that its a chance for the players who underwelmed Saturday to prove themselves. Would like to see Daley play along side Higdon up front, might be an interesting link up.
-
Higdon just needs that break and the goals will come, Sutton was no better than Higdon and i would argue Higdon wins many more flicks ons that Sutton ever did, i reckon Higdon will come good. He is getting the chances and getting shots away, could easily be on 5 or 6 goals by now. I believe he will play better with another player along side him with pace, Daley would be the perfect foil. Daley Higdon up front, worth a shout?
-
It wont matter what team he puts out as long as we win! Im sure if we win Saturdays game will be forgotten. We dont become a pants team over night.
-
Ok lets put Saturday behind us, not sure what the answer is yet but, McCall brought Omar in because he was versitile, could we play him upfront with Higdon, not sure but Higdon is winning most of the flick ons, could be that extra pace required up front (Centraly). Could we play; Law Humphrey Lasley Murphy Higdon Daley As our attacking option for Tuesday night? it would be a really attacking line up and worth the entry fee.
-
I like the look of that line up!
-
Melvin... i have just read that post and to be honest you have a valid suggestion thier. good post mate.

As expected i would comment on the above, pretty much knew it was coming to be honest, @ some point Saturdays performance was going to be highlighted as a reason why we lost. Humphreys form like most of the attacking players in the team on Saturday was below par nothing more. Murphy has been poor for over a month, Lasley, Jennings, And Higdon also our due some form of responsibility for the lack of cutting edge. I can remember two or three chances that Humphrey created, for Jennings and Higdon off the top of my head that could/should of ended in goals but never. Its football and we have to deal with it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion of players and some of the comments are a little harsh to be honest, especially after such an overall poor team effort Saturday afternoon, the Defence Poor, Midfield poor, Higdon poor, everyone less Law would have been disappointed about their performances. Now is not the time to start berating one player for special attention. Tuesday game is a chance to bounce back to winning ways, i only hope that Humphrey will still recieve support from the fans. McCall sees the players all week in training and must be happy with the effort the players are putting in hence thier starting spots, as mentioned on previous posts, they play to a plan and stick with it. Dont give up on him or any other players at the club, just support them through what has been a tricky couple of weeks. Oh and Happy Birthday Humphrey.
-
It a fare point actually, Murphy has been AWOL, in the last few games, well lets hope he will shine tom, big game for Higdon, could be a hero after tom game... all out attack as i cant see them scoring many, but prob the coupon buster knowing Motherwell.
-
Not much chat going on about this one tomorrow is there, i am confident of the win, really looking forward to seeing Omar Daley have a run out, quicker than Humphrey that has got to be worth seeing surely, could be the missing link.. cant wait!

Really 5K a week, thats an amazing wage if its right! But i suppose if you compare with Lower league English football, prob compare to Top L1 teams and below. Championship big hitters would laugh at that wage i reckon, so maybe your right. But still a massive wage for what he actually does.
