The problem we have at the mo is that Rangers have got off to a pants start, this means that the management at the club will want to calm the fans down, one more poor result and they will call for blood, anyways they will need to make a signing to calm the natives, one more bid for Goodwillie, that will fail and then they will half that offer and get Murphy just to keep the fans happy! watch this space. Get your money on Goodwillie to be SPL top scorer, at Dundee Utd he has no chance of that, but the market has not allowed for a move to Rangers, worth a few quid.

Hopefully Hay will start left back after his goal last night, that would be good news all round!
-
Cheers Richie

What Channel is ALBA on Virgin please?
-
Knowone said he would be a goal machine did they, 5-10 goals per season is hardly goal machine material do you think!
-
I have my usual good feeling about this one, i feel that confidence will be high from a good start, if we can keep the tempo up i believe a good win is on the cards, cant see us keeping a clean sheet as Saturday was testiment to that with luck on our side. I reckon a good 3-1 win for Motherwell with goals from Higdon, Law, Humphrey. 1-3 Motherwell

3 Goals one game 3 different scorers! its a good enough start for me! Fantacist
-
Here we go again, try being positive about the chances of scoring goals not negative, If your terrible in front of goal you dont score goals end of chat, Law and Humphrey have the ability to score goals, maybe not as many as i want but they have the ability to score goals. Lets just stick to the positive points of our players not the OLD stats, onwards and upwards Ya Bezzer, not doom and gloom. POSITIVE please Ya Bezzer!

Im not to sure you know, ok ill give you between 5 and 10 goals, each Law and Humphrey, does that sound better, the main point would be that with Law i believe that we will deffo score more goals, hopefully Murphy will continue at this rate, hope he does not do a Forbes from last season, and not score again all season after a cracking start!
-
With the introduction of Law, i believe this could be the link we have been missing for a number of seasons, not only have we got the two work horses in the middle of the park, now getting forward in support, we have the creativity sadly missed in last seasons efforts. Although last season was a great effort, i think with the addition of Law and Higdon we are a much stronger team, we offer pace going forward, a decent hold up man in Higdon, with the ever running back up of Jennings and the free scoring Lasley. Law is showing signs of linking well with Murphy and Hammy down the left, Laws ability to create is what we have wanted, now he is here, we will see the best of Murphy, Humphrey, Higdon, Hammy,Lasley and Jennoe, i feel it a good season ahead. Goals from midfield will be the key, id like to see 10 each from Humphrey and Law, with the front two getting at least 15- 20 goals. Cant wait.

Aberdeen down to 10 men!
-
Half time - 2-0 Well, playing some nice stuff, but ICT are still looking dangerous up front. Key is wide men Law and Humphrey
-
Come on one more before half time!
-
A good test for the first match, it will be a handy gauge on where we will end up this season, some spells against Leeds were top notch, as in going forward, show the same commitment and 3 points are there for the taking, close game with Motherwell coming up trumps, by two clear goals. Not sure on scorers, but would like Higdon and Humphrey to score, get there confidence up.
-
That is a flexable formation, with Law floating across the park! You have missed my point entirely, ok ill set it up like this so you will understand where i was coming from. Any formation you like at the back Jennoe Lasley Humphrey Law (Law still has the authority to roam across the park) Murphy Higdon That is how i mean it, sorry to confuse you.
-
Yes i am sure they will give it there all, regardless of the (Meaningless) nature of the game, i give in on this shout, you win its totall meaningless, Honest!
-
Dazzer ^^^^^^^^^^Takes his hat off to the lad.... well said that man, my point exactly.
-
Agree with the result, as your right it does not matter about the outcome as regards winning or losing, but players dont like losing regardless.
-
No such thing as a meaningless friendly, and i agree McCall most prob does know his best eleven, but against Leeds he will have a better idea of where Motherwell Football club First Team actually sit as regards the ability to compete at that level. Strongly disagree with Meaningless Friendly one liner! If it was meaningless we would not be discussing it.
-
I think you might be suprised Weeyin, it might not prove anything to you but believe me the players will want to be selected for the first game of the season the following week! You might actually see some fight abeit be it at 90%
-
Still last night was only a friendly, and Leeds Sat should prove the acid test, not a great match to watch last night but never the less some much needed game time for all the players involved, lets not start with the early slagging off of players... just put it down to Pre Season warm up matches, The score could of and should of been much more. Goals will come along with creativity and in turn the quality of all the football on show will improve from everyone not just one or two of them. Chin up, 3 games 3 wins. Next

Do you actually work at the club..... just wondering if i had met you ?
-
Would snap Gunning up in a second! Good call

As previously stated, i think that with Law in the side that will make a massive difference, Humphrey and Murphy will score more goals this season as a result of his addition, Higdon will chip in with the same amount of goals as Sutton, Sutton was a good player but not great. I am excited about the prospect of a top 4 finnish. Rangers Celtic Hearts Motherwell (Very close with Hearts) could go either way. Hibs Dundee Utd.
-
Ok lets start talking about our strongest team for the Leeds match, i would go with, Law playing off the front two, it is clear that he has a wide range of passes, and is equally at home on either flank, i think he is the player we have desperatley missed last season, as we lacked that final killer pass. I still think there is a place for Craggs but why not give this formation a try against what is arguably one of the big guns down south, if it works against them surely it will work against most teams in the SPL. I am really excited about this match, ok i might not get the formation right but i like the players below and would like to see all of them start, not had much chance to form an opinion of Higdon yet but hopefully he is feeling his way into the season. RANDY Hateley - Huchinson - Saunders - Hammel Humphrey - Lasley - Jennoe - Law Higdon Murphy
