  1. On the trip home after the final, three chartered buses, left without the passengers, phone calls were made by organiser but no joy!
  2. Of course i dont know what wage he is on.... it was a guess, but still he would be on more than most at a lower level i suppose.
  3. Thats a good point you make about Jeffers, but i was coming from the finances side of life, and the wage he will be on, prob enough to pay 3 players from the lower leagues. But a fare shout never the less!
  4. For 19 Gunning is a pretty good prospect, yes he gets caught out a few times but who does not, especially Motherwell back 4, there is money to be saved during the Summer, i would get rid of Franny, although he brings the experience to the club he does not bring goals which is the reason we signed him in the first place, and my assumption is that he would be commanding a pretty big wage, which could be directed to maybe one or two younger players from the lower leagues, be it South or North of the border. In real need of a Pacer Striker.. who actually puts the ball in the back of the net.... Real asset to any club so that wont come cheap, so look down the pyramid maybe even in Scotland lower leagues. Another centre Midfield player, with the ability to pass and create & someone with a few tricks in his locker, Lasley and Jennings are to samey for me... but never the less good players, work engines, are valuable but you only really need one engine in the midfield the other must create. Centre back required; Craggs great club servant but needs a replacement sooner rather than later, with a view to shadowing Craggs should he stay then take over the mantle on Craggs exit. As apposed to waiting untill Craggs hangs the boots up. Free up wages by getting rid of Jones, Jeffers, Casa.....the money saved by those leaving should be enough to snap up some lower league potential investments.
  5. Dont think thats a bad thing, Sutton wont stop the show at Motherwell, someone with pace up front would be perfect, get Omar in from Bradford on the Left and punt Murphy up front where he is best.....
  6. Well said Wellfan, just could not understand why there are only a few well dones for the lad!
  7. Thats great news for Motherwell Football club, and a deserved Call up..... Well Done Chris Humphrey.
  8. This story is now confirmed, and will be with you all shortly!
  9. It has been confirmed that Chris Humphrey has been selected to play for the Jamaica National Team, in the Gold Cup in June.

  10. The point is he is a Motherwell Player.. who gives 100% every game, and if other users do not agree i will challenge those comments, who ever it is, his ability, his crossing, passing and goals i wont challenge as that can improve, but effort sorry.......
  11. Sorry guys, i could not let that one go! But i do have a point !
  12. That just about somes you up YA BEZZER! what an utter load of rubbish, yes your opinion is valued but to slag the lad off for half hearted efforts is beyond belief, that lad gives 100% every match, whether he is injured or not, i wish i was sat next to you on match day, i cant believe you have written that, yes YOU might not think he is any good or in fact worthey of a start spot at Motherwell but some people including scouts from a number of clubs do think he is worth it, and i for one think its justified. You pick your starting 11 YA BEZZER, and i wonder if Humphrey would be playing, of course unless there are other options available which as you know there is not. As for your comment about Walcott... yes your right actually, he would get slated, but try putting it this way...is Sammon at the level of Rooney....NO he is not, but he must be he is in the EPL..... There are various levels and standards in the EPL like the SPL, i doubt at this point Humphrey could play in any EPL team in the top 8, but any team below then he would be in with a shout. What mentality is required to be a EPL footballer please YA BEZZER,i would love to know. Chris Humphrey plays for your team YA BEZZER, and will run out in the Scottish Cup final saturday for your team. He gives 100% every single game he plays, your opinon of him as a player has not bothered me as its your right to have an opinion, but to say he does not give 100% is wrong. Its a few days before the Cup Final, lets keep the comments on here about our own players positive and that may get us through to a Cup win, look at the Man of the match awards for this season YA BEZZER, but of course....and i quote you( This season he has just about justified a starting place) well if thats the case none of the starting eleven should be starting. PRICE LESS one liner YA BEZZER.
  13. Strange........Keep the width with Both Humphrey and Murphy on the pitch.... only way to beat Celtic is to attack, not sit back and defend as stated above we will get humped big time! I do know where your coming from about keeping it tight with Hatley right of midfield, but with Humphrey he will create the space for Murphy and Sutton to be more effective. Even if Humphrey has a off game he will still drag two even three players out wide to deal with the (just in case scenario) think overall we have nothing to lose, attack from the off and see what happens, OF our expecting to hump us anyway, so lets go down fighting and not regret having a real go.
  14. Tickets confirmed, travelling up from Coventry on Friday, I have a good feeling about this one... yes got humped last weekend, but i thought we still caused some problems early on and arguably could and should of taken the lead less than a minute into the game. Very tight Sat, and history is in the making me thinks! OF...Nil Motherwell 2
  15. Of course... it must be paper talk! knowone could ever want the quickest winger in the UK.......for next to nothing!
  16. My fears are that Scotlands Craig Levein has waited far to long to include him in the scotland squad, yes he can be frustrating at times and yes his crosses like most other wingers can be hit and miss, but for creating space and being a fantastic tactical tool....he is second to none. Craig levein seems to have gone with the inconsistant approach thus not included him in any of his squads.... Jamaica will benefit from this... i fear we have missed out!
  17. Well said that man......my thoughts to a tee.... if the likes of Sammon get moves to the EPL, with lets be honest less than Craggs pace, and no more than average scoring potential, why not Humphrey..... as highlighted many times before, Pace cant be purchased for any money... skills and technic can be tought on the training ground..... all of the above can only mean more value... thus more in the Kitty should he move onwards and upwards.
  18. Chris Humphrey gets call for Jamaica Squad,,, thought i would let you know before the news gets out a little later....

  19. Hot off the press, still to be confirmed officially but Chris Humphrey gets the international call for Jamaica, and will join the Jamaica squad shortly after the Cup final...watch this space for confirmation......... Well done Chris Humphrey.
  20. They have all Summer to rest! Good point.........
  21. What ever team gets the nod for Sunday, its important to at least put a little bit of a fight up, Celtic will be very nervous and Motherwell who will be full of youngsters will have nothing to lose, the longer the game goes on without a goal the tighter it will become, the game being live on TV, will make a real difference, Jones will deffo start as he has been released by Walsall, so come the summer he will be out of contract and without a club, hence one of his better run outs last night. As for the team, pretty much all the regulars rest.... Keep hold of Humphrey and Jones out wide, Jeffers from the start, leave Sutton out, leave Jennoe out(But the problem we have is players want to play in front of the cameras and to be honest games likes this are the shop window for Jennings, Sutton, and co, so dropping them will cause a few tea cup storms....but that said Lasley left out too, Keep Craggs on the pitch, the rest of the team wont really matter, and you might find that Motherwell although playing a so said weaker line up might prove to be harder than Celtic will expect, the youngsters will be more energetic and full of running, so dont be supprised if the game is closer than we all predict. I WOULD be happy will a good performance.... nothing more, i think we owe that to the fans and the rest of the SPL.
  22. I understand what your saying mate....Poor performances cant be accepted, what ever the reason. Keep smiling
  23. Im sure he will be ok....... He needs the run out......
