  1. 3 Points Saturday me thinks.....Close encounter...One out.... One In....Fingers crossed the Humph Meister will be back...
  2. Mchugh the Striker we are missing.. Get in.....
  3. Missing the Hump today.......Need a Striker!
  4. I can amagine that Higdon never started because of the heat id expect, and maybe one eye on Saturday! Hes a big guy, and 90 minutes in that heat would take too much out of him.
  5. Same team as Tuesday Night, If they can show as much commitment as they did last night im sure three points are there for the taking. It will be a great measure on how far Motherwell have progressed in the close season. Last nights result was expected, and im sure even if they played Celtic, they would of won. Ross County 1 Motherwell 4
  6. Well said..I thought Humphrey played ok. Good Post there Linsey!

  7. Im working at the Richoh Arena Coventry, spoke to the groundsman there, he said Jennings got injured while on trial with them, so Never traveled to Scotland for there tour. Not sure how accurate that is but if he is injured the chances of him finding a club will be limited . Could he come back!
  8. I know that! hence the next to no chance of being in Europe point! Of course they could always win the FA CUP or League CUP.
  9. Another good point (Tranmere would equally exit European Football at the same stage Celtic would.
  10. A very good point, but of course the likes of Huddersfield and Brentford play much further down the League pyramid and have next to no chance of qualifying for Europe. Dont get me wrong im sure Everton have done the same as Rangers and Celtic in the past and been eliminated before the competiton has even started. Finances are obviously a major factor, and im sure you will agree, Out with Celtic and Rangers (Before investigation) Scottish clubs compete with Conference League teams on a financial footing.
  11. The elimination of Scottish teams from European competition before the end of August represents the worst set of results for the nation's clubs since continental competition began. I dont know the answer, if im honest but working from grass roots and football in schools might have something to do with it. The way kids train, the conditions they train in, the support from the government. German grass root football teams have the full backing of the government, from the early days of pre school untill they are adults. Giving them support and training facilities, which are of a high standard, and use of qualified football coaches. Get these issues right and Scottish football can move forward. Rangers situation only compiles the problems even further. And currently not having a dedicated Reserve Team football League, is detrimental to the Scottish game.
  12. To be honest... your right I would see Higdon on the bench, but like you and me both, we have different opinions, so accept that as long as I post on this forum ill share my opinion especially with you. Perhaps a trip to the lower leagues in England, and you might realise the standard is better than you think. SPL less Celtic, and most teams would be of League two standard, maybe lower League one. I love scottish football, and enjoy watching it as much as i can, but really Scottish football needs to improve. FIFA world rankings will confirm that. Rank 49 in the World. Wales and the Republic of Ireland 26 and 38 respectively.
  13. For the record, I like Jennoe, he is a good player, and im not slating him, im just highlighting that League One, is not as bad as we make it out to be! Celtic and Rangers would prob challenge in that league, and some others would do ok. But no team in the SPL would find that level easy.
  14. Its simple really, Coventry will be looking at players they know will cut it at that level on a limited budget, Trials are the only way ahead for them, Jennoe was a good player at Motherwell, and on average prob one of the most consistant performers in the SPL last season, but that said League One, is a much better level of football on average than the SPL. The wage structure will prob confirm that. I amagine that Jennoe would be looking for at least 2/3 k per week at Coventry, which is good money, so for Jennoe it is well worth a Trial dont you think!

    New Season

Not a bad line up, but it will most prob depend on how we get on in the friendly matches prior to the big kick off. Issues like Hateley in midfield, Saunders at right back, Higdon and OJ up front together, Murphy OJ up front together. I must admit the team looked good against (the club formally known as Rangers) and Murphy and OJ were extremley entertaining that day, and really should of won the game. I think what that game highlighted was that Motherwelll are not a one dimentional team, with the lump up to Higdon. Higdon is a good player and scored some vital goals, but as yet we have not found the ideal partner up front for him. I agree he is paid to score goals, but he can still score goals from playing off the front two.

    New Season

Well might as well start the disscusions on how we will set up and what we would like as fans to see. Can we accomodate OJ,Murphy and Higdon up front! Could OJ and Murphy play up top with Higdon sat in behind? It has always been claimed that Higdon is isolated up front on his own, and won numourous filck ons with knowone on the end of it. Could the midfield line up like this: Law( LASLEY) Humphrey Higdon (Sat behind) OJ and Murphy (Interchangable) Let me know your thoughts and other options we have available.
  19. Cant really Count... Goodwilly can we.. EPL.
  20. Football Rumour Forum (Not me) 10 Jul 2012 15:55:32 Bradford city in talks with bringing Motherwell winger Omar Daley back to Valley Parade
  21. What about Boyd....Great at Rangers bloody pants at Middlesbrough.... Championship.
