  1. Agree with Law. Would have agreed with Hammell up untill his gift for their second, but that was totally unforgivable. Can't remember Murphy doing anything of note.
  2. Fair enough. Who do you think had a better game than him? I thought he had a poor game too, but he had next to nothing to work with.
  3. There were at least 8 players in claret and amber that were worse than him today.

    St Mirren

Craggs. He had a great second half.
  5. According to Twitter he's picked up an ankle injury after 10 minutes. Quite worrying as he's our most experianced backup and could well have figured against St Mirren. Depending on Hutchesons injury or to allow Hately to move in to midfield as cover for Lasley. Also a reminder of how threadbare our squad is. Hopefully it's not too bad.
  6. Team in turmoil travelling to fir park? Away win every time.
  7. Here's a good article on home advantage. Interestingly it debunks your assumtion that crowd numbers are a major factor. You certainly can't argue with the stats that home advantage exisists for whatever reason. As for yesterdays match. I thought it was a good game, and the only thing lacking was a bit of goalmouth action. Killies penatly shout early on looked like a stonewaller and we were lucky to survive the opening 10 and closing 10 minutes. For the most part of the rest of the match we seemed to have control. Everythings already been said, missed Higdon, too lightweight up front, Hately and Humph we're poor and the entire team seemed exhausted by the end (not surprising so early in the season in that kind of heat).
  8. Think I'll head along with the old man.
  9. I quite like it. Would have prefered claret shorts. I think the sponsor blends in well. I think the bagde looks too big though.

  11. --------------------------------Randolph Ross(Saunders if fit) - Craigan - Hutch - Hammell --------------------------------Hateley --------------------- Jenno ------------- Las Humphry -------------------------------- Murphy -------------------------------- Sutton Thats how I'd like us to start. But I'd be ready to switch to 4-4-2 if we go a goal down.
  12. Who are the 5 players who a yellow away for missing the final?
  13. They only need 2 to force et and pens.
  14. They seem to have confused Humphrey (or Humprey as their headline would suggest) and Blackman in the photo.
  15. Maybe so... But if people aren't willing to part with a tenner to come and watch their team live in a game that potentially seals qualification to a european competition I have little hope for reduced ticket prices being the answer for anything. And where would our game be without the revenue generated from tv deals?
  16. Maybe... But why would the club want to significantly reduce they're income over a "long period of time" for a shot of somthing that may or may not work? I totally agree that football is over priced. Die hards will pay no matter what. Fans that aren't willing to pay the price are unlikely to ever become regulars and while cheaper tickets will encourge more people to come it will never bridge the loss of revenue. Yesterday was the perfect storm for a good crowd: Cup quarter final, not televised, no other major games on TV, beatable semi final opponents, two clubs who are main stays of the SPL. Look at the last game we had with cheap tickets. The 6-6 hibs game. Remember that was a big game too (possibly deciding european football). Att. 6,241.
  17. We've prooved it doesn't work in the past. 50% reduction in ticket prices = 20% increase in attendance = club losing money.
