    Michael Higdon

Would be great if we can get him signed for next season. He's may not be the best footballer in our team but he's proved if you give him decent service he'll do a cracking job leading the line. I've said on numerous occasions he brings much more than goals to the team too. Appears to be really loving it here at the moment as well. If I had to pick between either him, Law or Faddy signing up for next season I'd be struggling.

    Dundee Game

Sublime cross to assist the second?

    Dundee

I'm struggling to pick someone here. A few players were solid throughout with out being spectacular (Higdon, Hateley and Ojamaa). A few showed real class in flashes (Faddy and Law). The back four were solid enough and Randolph done what was required when he was called into action. This was probably because we never really needed to get out of 3rd gear. Went for Ojamaa as he did give him usual 100% particularly in the second half.
  4. 2nd and 3rd will both go in at the same point. Qualifying round 2. Cup winners/Runners up will go in the round later. Impossible to have any idea of indiviual clubs we might face as (like us) most clubs haven't secured euro spots at this point. Edit - NottsMFC is probably right that if Celtic win the cup then the runnners up would go in the earlier round and league runners up would enter in the 3rd qualifying round.

Never doubted it... Hope he can get a few of our star performers to follow suit.
  6. The hand strike was Claros on Faddy I think. Happened in the centre cirle. Faddy wad going forward and Claros definitely caught him. Faddy stopped playing and complained to the ref as Claros nipped off with the ball. Its in the MFCTV highlights reel but seeing as it won't be on sportscene tomorrow it won't be picked up on. Not convinced there was a whole lot of intention from Claros but Faddy was pretty pissed off by it.
  7. I stand corrected. I've tried to wipe that game from my memory. With some degree of success.
  8. Hateley at Celtic park. We've had three in the league. Higgy, Hateley and Murphy missing one each and Higgy missing another in the cup. 0/4. Shockingly bad! Eta. I'd have Faddy hitting our next one.
  9. I'll renew. To be honest I find it pretty sad that while the proposed setup doesn't fit with most fans ideas of how we need to be moving the game forward (myself included) that people are prepared to just chuck it. At the moment I'd be much happier to keep the status quo while introducing the financial changes, voting changes, mergers of the governing bodies and play off/more relegation and promotion places. I remember being extremely skeptical of the split when it was introduced. I know it still has doubters too, but I think its been one of our leagues few redeeming features in recent times. I'm prepared to give it a go safe in the knowledge that if it fails it can be changed again.
  10. 62... It was our SPL era record. We had 54 points at this stage last term and 55 at the split. We should be aiming to improve on that record with what in theory should be an easier run in and a team bang in-form. ETA - Checking back that was actually a post-war top flight record. Going back 80 years to 1933/34. Mind you it was only 2 points for a win for the majority of that time.
  11. 4 more in 7 games is achievable. Really hope the big man manages it. It would be an astonishing record.
  12. They'll also be due 3 out of the 5 post split games to be played at home to ensure an equal number of home and away games for the season.
  13. This is the best I can find...

    Hibernian

Nonsense!!!!! *he only got two assists. Faddy
  15. Aye. I agree with all of that, but I don't think it really makes it a massive must win game. ETA - County away at Inverness next weekend means they've got a big ask to gain points on us next weekend anyway.
  16. Really? Not good enough for what? It's the hardest game left for us before the split. If we manage 6 points from these last three games I'm pretty sure that'll be enought to hold on to 2nd till after the split.
  17. Think I might have called this right... Todays lineup: Randolph, Hammell, Law, Hateley, Ojamaa, Higdon, Lasley, Ramsden, Carswell, McFadden, Cummins Hopefully I'm on a roll... I'm going to predict a 2-0 win for the 'Well. Faddy and Higgy to grab the goals.
  18. Surely that would have given all the 11 clubs carte blanche to adjust the prize fund for 1st too. It doesn't make sense that they would pass up on that opportunity.
  19. In that case Celtic don't get their money maintained.
  20. http://m.stv.tv/sport/blog/196856-why-aberdeen-joined-celtic-in-delaying-change-to-the-spl-voting-structure/ This news story suggests Aberdeen voted against changing the voting structure in order to hit the jackpot by finishing second. Is it possible Aberdeen voted with Celtic to veto more equitable prize money split. Then the rest of the clubs came up with this structure to get Celtic onside and to leave the Sheep looking like fuds? *removes tinfoil hat* If so I really hope we pump the c***s tomorrow.
  21. Getting more and more pissed off about this as I think about it. We've got a nice 0.5% increment from the bottom of the league up to second. Then a jump to 6.5% to 1st!? A mamoth 13 times greater than the other gaps. In percentage terms the prize money for finishing second is closer to the prize money for finishing bottom than it is first! This must be some kind of pisstake!
  22. The document say's it's effective from the 3rd of December. You'd think that even at this point there are still a few clubs eyeing the second spot I can understand every club being happy the gap between 2nd and 3rd being reduced. Can't figure out why any other than Celtic would want to leave the top spot untouched.
  23. My point was that if Celtic were made to fight to keep the lions share of prizemoney by voting (which they fucking should have been). Then they must have had another club voting with them to avoid any decisions being forced on them. At present the 11-1 voting system should be a big disadvantage to Celtic getting their own way. Without their other arse cheek to vote with them they can no longer veto proposals.
