  1. Best to remember that this will be changed if reconstruction goes ahead anyway. So in reality its likely to be different well before Rangers are back anyway. The numbers post-reconstruction circulated earlier were: Premiership 1 £2,405,000 (-£315,000) 2 £1,718,000 (-£682,000) 3 £1,460,000 (-£60,000) 4 £1,289,000 (-£71,000) 5 £1,203,000 (-£77,000) 6 £1,117,000 (-£83,000) 7 £1,057,000 (-£63,000) 8 £1,005,000 (-£35,000) 9 £988,000 (+£28,000) 10 £902,000 (+£22,000) 11 £816,000 (+£16,000) 12 £730,000 (+£10,000) Championship 13 £387,000 (+£319,000) 14 £344,000 (+£277,000) 15 £301,000 (+£235,000) 16 £258,000 (+£193,000) 17 £241,000 (+£177,000) 18 £189,000 (+£121,000) 19 £172,000 (+£111,000) 20 £155,000 (+£95,000) 21 £137,000 (+£78,000) 22 £120,000 (+£63,000) 23 £103,000 (+£47,000) 24 £86,000 (+£31,000)
  2. Really don't understand how the money for 1st hasn't been touched. Surely given the 11-1 voting structure Celtic were at the mercy of the rest of the league.
  3. Not sure if Aberdeen are likely to line up the way they did against us on boxing day or if Humphrey's likely to be fit for this. But I wouldn't be surprised to see us go with the same type of shape that allowed us to steamroller them on that occasion.
  4. 19 Spl goals... 20 all comps
  5. Anyone wanting to watch this in the UK... Clicky
  6. Don't get me wrong here. I'm not trying to suggest Higdon's a better all round player than TC was. Some facets of his game are superior what TC had in those areas. A straight choice between the two?... I'd say TC was the better player. Lets not underestimate what Higgy brings to us. We'll be lucky if we have another striker as good as him in the next decade.
  7. Has anyone pointed out how good the draw in the higland derby was for us?... Also opens a nice wee 8 point gap between us and 7th. With so few games to go top six is starting to look pretty secure.
  8. I was in my teens when TC was at fir park. As I said back to goal linking the game, target man and in the penalty box... Higdon is better. Coyne had a few things Higdon lacks... A spark. To create a chance from nothing and beating players with a flash of genius. Coyne was a much more exciting player to watch. Which is probably why he's (rightly) so fondly remembered. Higdons record stands for itself though. I'd say Davie Cooper was the best all round player I've seen in a 'Well shirt though. ETA...

    Hearts

I just voted for him too, cause I feel sorry for him.
  10. Scott Macdonald - 42 in 108 = 0.39 goals per game Tommy Coyne - 59 in 132 = 0.45 goals per game Higgy - 33 in 63 = 0.52 goals per game He's less likely to create a chance for himself than the other two... But boy can he put them away. He's the best penalty box striker I've seen in a 'Well shirt. Not only that, but with his back to goal linking up play I can't remember better.
  11. He's got a bit to go to beat MacFadyens 45 in 1932-33 yet. Joking aside this guy should no longer have any doubters within our support. I'm in my thirties and hes the most prolific striker we've had in my lifetime without question. He also looks likely to eclipse Wullie Ps record. IMO he also offers us sooooooo much more than just his goalscoring prowess. This guy is a future legend. Anyone who still thinks he's a big donkey who can't run or jump....
  12. The dimwit should have pointed out that under the Good friday agreement anyone born on the Island of Ireland has the right to be part of the Irish nation. Lennon no doubt carries an Irish passport.

    Smoke Bombs

Now I've seen that video, I'm convinced. Smoke bombs are fucking outstanding and should be mandatory at every SPL game.

    Celtic

Eenie meanine.... Think I'll go for Higgy. He won so many battles against all 3 of the big solid centre backs he was up against. In truth though I could just as easily pick any of the other 10 players out there tonight.
  15. Ah! The good old Motherwell Rollercoaster. Fantastic stuff tonight. Higdon, Faddy, Law and Lasley were immense and wee Henrik came on to a game after a difficult start. The defense were 1st class too. Which is nice given our recent form at the back. Hopefully this sparks a wee run. With draws being pretty much no good from here to the split for most of the league I hope teams open up a bit more against us.
  16. I was a different game then. Hateley cleared of the line from the headed effort.
  17. So if this is being billed as the return of the king, I assume Willo Floods playing the part of Gollum. No need for and CGI that way.
  18. As long as Ramsdens fit enough then same as Saturday and let's go again. 2-1 'Well.
  19. I don't think for a second that's what you believe a bigger league would do. I'd suggest that's exactly what you're doing here; You are aiming to limit the damage of dropping points against Celtic. That's because you don't fancy our chances of beating them head to head. And you're right to think that. Why are you right?... Because we are unable to compete at their level. Not in a 12 team league. Not in a 16 team league. Not in a 20 team league. Not even in a 40 team league as far as I'm concerned!!! Do you think the gulf between Celtic and us is greater or smaller than the gulf between us and the top half of SFL 1? "albeit slightly" Therein lies the problem. The old firm haven't been finishing ahead of the competition by a slight margin. I'd be surprised if the rest have been within 15 points of the champions at the end of any season over the past 20 years. The few points you're seeking to gain isn't even going to make a dent in that gap, let alone give the feeling of competition. Of course old firm donimance is nothing new. They shared 34 out of 35 titles between them (the majority of them won from a 20 team league) between 1905 and 1939. Given the financial disparity didn't exist at that point surely you'd expect a bit more competition from such a big league?
  20. Clearly you don't have common sense degree too. If a team are that much better than you that you are writting off games against them, then there is absolutly no chance of beating them over the course of a league campaign.

    Motherwell V Ict

Quite possibly. I doubt its down 50% though. A quick search about shows alot of fan sites quoting this for season 2012/13 No idea how reliable that information is though. Almost certain this hasn't happened. It would've required clubs agreeing on somthing.
