Ojamaa... He was a livewire and desperately unlucky not to cap his performance with the goal it deserved. The truth is there were lots of good perfomances today - Law, Las and Murph all on top form. Nice to see Hateley having a real solid game after his recent efforts too. He linked very well particularly later in the game when he move up to right midfield.
  2. As much as we'd all like to see us having a right go from the off. We might be forgetting how exposed and leaky our defense has been recently. They way we ended up playing on Friday night is all well and good when you're already 2 down and a team are sitting in. From the off in a more open game would give me the fear any time the opposition had the ball.
  3. Yup. I couldn't give to hoots about who a players played for before or how they're percieved when the pull on a well shirt. For all people dislike him Ferguson was a one point one a top SPL player, and is probably stll more than capable.
  4. MJC predicting a win? I wonder with the way the Sheepie-mehs setup against us last time if McCall might be tempted with a front line of McHugh and Ojamaa from the start to get in about them the way we finished off against the Buddies on Friday night.

He's not been as bad as some would make out and doesn't deserve the amount of abuse he's getting from the stands at the moment, but he was poor again yesterday. Seems to just be swinging his leg at the ball without any consideration where he wants to play it. I went for Law. Rarely wasted a ball and was at the heart of alot of nice moves.
  6. I believe the answer to this is the lack of a decent left foot. Nicky Law also suffers from this when playing wide left to. What he does have is the footballing brain to play the simple ball when it's on once he's hit the byline on the left wing. I prefer Law in the middle. We lose a bit of dig in there but he's a playmaker and drifts out of position playing wide left too often anyway.
  7. Both were Hammys fault IMO. He had an absolute mare tonight. Got lucky with another in the first half by showing Teale inside and leaving him in acres of space.

A space of waste?... He's right, you are an idot (sic).
  9. If I'm being honest, at 2 nil down I had a couple of doubts about us winning that game.
  10. Sitting 2nd in the league at this point in the season is unacceptable... McCall must go!!!

Went for Humphrey... He's been getting pelters most of the season but had a really good game yesterday. Some of his delivery was about the best its been since he joined us and he gave Fitzpatick a torrid time and was very much involved in the first and third goals.

Had my doubts that we were going to hang on there. Delighted with Humph getting his first of the season. For all his weaknesses he does offer us something. Sounded like a peach too!!!

  19. I'm afriad the whole thing was poorly orchestrated. The tannoy anncoucer waffled on after the silence had begun too. Players should have gathered round the centre circle as normal with these things and our tannoy system is an embaressment.
  20. Six ponts for a win against Dundee United this season?
  21. ^^^ Agree with most of that. Chasing Murphy out the club's a bit harsh though. The simple fact is none of our players have really kicked a ball this season. Perhaps they've been starting to believe the hype that's surrounded them. The most worrying aspect of this is I'm not sure if we have the type of character in the team to pick us up from this dip in form. I don't really rate Law as a wide left player. However he doesn't have the dig to play in the middle. We need 2 players in the middle of the park to win the ball and move it out to the flanks. It's without question the time to give Carswell a couple of starts in there.

Went for Humphrey too. I thought the subbing of Ojamaa was spot on (would have brought McHugh on instead of Daley though). He huffed and puffed and put in the kind of effort we've come to expect but was making very litte headway in the game.
  23. mid-table mediocrity and a scottish cup win will have to do.
  24. I'll bet you one of these http://www.motherwellbuyonline.co.uk/product/buy-a-brick that Ojamaa nets this season before McHugh.
  25. Clearly not. But I know who I'd fancy more to stick the ball in the pokey hat.
