See .. I'd like to go. But I stay in Partick and I'm a wee bit concerned about getting the living sh't kicked out of me on the subway. Think I'll give it a miss. I'm fond of ma baws.

I'm terrified of supporting the Humph & Higgy (2 of our best players!!) in case some punters on here find out where I live & set fire to my cat. I know this is a novel idea ... but how about we actually support our players and talk them up for a wee change? Crazy , I know. I'm sure it'll never catch on. Some of the comments on here about our own players are actually quite embarrassing. 3rd in the league last year, Cup Final the year before, regular European football. Not really sure what some of you want?

A fair bit of typical steelmenonline over-reaction on here! Levante finished 6th last season in the best league in the world. That's not a fluke! We couldn't live with them last night and they had an off night. Tactically and technically they are miles ahead of us. For example, every time Murphy got the ball, he had 3 to beat and basically stangled the creativity out of us. No offence to Las & Law but if you stop Humphrey and Murphy you stop us. They did their homework on us. That's what they did and they thoroughly deserved the win. Couple of other points:- Humphrey was our best player last night, the pace he has scared the life out of them. Two mistakes by our full backs cost us dearly. Ojamma has been a massive let down since he signed a long term deal. Poor again last night. And a huffy we git to boot. Drop him and try Murphy up top. We need to change back to 4-3-3 / 4-5-1in Europe ... 4-4-2 isn't working for us. The ref was superb last night, it was great watching a ref that didn't spend half the game being the centre of attention with 3 minute lectures ... Iain Brines et al please take note. Those that are saying that Hearts & Dundee Utd would have beaten them need to have a word with themselves. Diving - we need to change, not the other way about. I know it's frustrating to watch, but I get the feeling that people on here only watch Scottish football if they are surprised by this. It's (unfortunately) part of the game now; we need to adapt to it.

Surprised at the negativity here. We're not creating a lot but neither are they. Wish we had set up this formation for the home leg now.

If Stuarty and OJ had words I hope the mullet jawed the big headed greedy wee shite

Does anyone else think that - on reflection - Rangers being let into the 1st Division was always going to be the likely option? I smell a rat. Anyhow, I'm pleased that the club have taken this view, and it's fairly obvious how our club will vote on our behalf. I think it was Jay who mentioned earlier that the only team who will benefit from my money going forward will be Motherwell FC, and with the exception of some jolly boy outings up north, that's sums up exactly what I'm thinking. Finally, that's it for me regarding Rangers now, I'll never set a foot in Ipox or even Fir Park when that lot are in town. This whole episode has been a farce from start to finish, the only winners out of it have been Rangers.

Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco
Muzz replied to Steve Diggle's topic in Club Chat
i thought the statement was fair. All the board are doing is presenting the facts. e.g. 35% of our income is TV related and that we don't know what the effect of voting them in or out will have on that. Either way they vote, the board can't win, and we should appreciate that. -
No one else remember Jim Leighton getting jawed? I remember after the game in car awaiting the media outcry but the match report on Clyde was cut short so that some media fucknugget could have an interview with Jo Venglos.

Awesome support last night, that's the benchmark set for Champ League games!!!

Could have fooled me. All circumatances should have resulted in demotion. How are they not comparable? We've broken the rules as well. You're missing the point if you think that's what I'm trying to say. We should support our club no matter what is happening at other clubs. We've broken the rules before when we plunged into administration. Should we have relegated?
-
Sweet Jesus. Look, we all know that it's not fair that Rangers newco FC will be allowed back in to the top table. Whilst it has been thoroughly enjoyable watching the meltdown, this was always going to happen. Why is anyone really that surprised? Scottish football has been geared towards preserving the old tarts in Glasgow for 130 years. Have you been going to football matches with your eyes shut? From bullying referees last season, to Celtic playing at Hampden when it was against the rules to Rangers not paying the bills and getting away with it, this is just three recent examples of favouritism in recent times. How can anyone be shocked that they are getting preferential treatment? Oh aye, and if you're a fan who is threatening to give up your season ticket and demanding back the Society funds etc, I think the best word to describe you is hypocrite. Where was your moral crusade when we went into administration? Should we have been automatically relegated? Also, I'm (unfortunately) old enough to remember us escaping relegation on more than one occasion thanks to league reconstruction. Where were your views on sporting integrity at that moment in time? For me, I'm a Motherwell supporter. I support my team through thick and thin, and irregardless of what is going on at other clubs. Perhaps some people on this forum should do the same. We are a brilliantly run club with passionate supporters who love the club. Show it. Prove that we don't need nor care about them. Not by running away, but by supporting the club with even more defiance in the face of this latest fiasco.

Higdon, Hutchy, Hateley & Humps get pass marks for me, with Humps our best on show by a country mile. Good free-kick but I agree with that other dude on page 6 or summit - Randy could have done better. Tin hat on - Ojamaa turning into the new Jamie Murphy. He didn't look interested at all today. If Higdon had put in a performance in like that today, there would have people on here wanting him castrated. Hasn't kicked his own arse his he got a contract. Dunfermline doesn't count because I reckon you get 11 punters from my work to beat them. Pass marks to the dude who gave pelters to Griffiths for being a virgin in the first 5 mins - even the wee nyaff had a laugh at it.
-
Echo most of the above, some additions for me:- Ray Farningham - my first time at Ipox and he scored the winner. Eliphas Shivute - a great player with awesome potential ruined by big Eck. Paul Smith - memories of a game at Cappielow when he scored 2 in the first ten mins. Paul Kinnaird - for the banter ... but when he was good he was awesome, and when he poor it was as if his feet were put on the wrong way around. Don Goodman - for the way he answered back the boo boys with good honest hard work. Chris McCart - should be on a list despite being a wee shite that keeps stealing our youngsters for Septic. My old man insists that Ian St John is by far the best ever to pull on the C&A.

'rebel 10' Have Requested A Meeting Of The Spl On April 12Th
Muzz replied to Ocelot Groomin''s topic in Club Chat
I see that Lawwell is commenting on this; the rebel 10 are "disrespectful". What a fecking hypocrite!! Were the diddy 10 invited to the secret meeting with Phil Gartside when they were prostituing themselves to the EPL? Or when they were going on about wonderful an Atlantic League would be? Where was our consultation in these circumstances? So what goes around comes around. Given that the Old Firm get the vast majority of TV rights & the vast majority of glory-hunting supporters from provincial towns, they peddle their "culture and past" to maximise financial resources. And then they complain about the lack of competition in the Scottish League whilst lifting up their skirt to any passer by like a drunk desparate prostitute. So forgive me if I don't feel the least bit sorry for them for not being asked to pull up a chair. Let's hope the rebel 10 hold their nerve. -
Humphrey must start next week in Murphy's place. Murphy is easily the most over-rated player to ever wear the C&A.
-
Hehehe - Ricky got papped oot for having a camera. Won't anyone think of the children?
-
Anyone else see Jenno's celebration at the 3rd goal?
-
I still reckon £250k is a good figure for him as long as there were add-ons at the 18 month to go stage. He'll go for less in the summer. As Busta mentioned earlier the lad has talent, but hasn't kicked his own arse since August. I think his problem is that he still thinks he's a centre forward. For me, wee Ojamaa has proven through his last couple of performances that he isn't.
-
I think £250k for Murphy is good money. Especially as he's out of contract in the summer, I think?
-
Five pages for this thread? Holy utter fuck
-
Higdon by a mile. Tin hat on. I'd rather have a traffic cone up front instead of Sutton.
-
Foran > O'Brien > Murphy All of which were overrated. Murphy more than most.
-
Tin hat on. Jamie Murphy is the most overrated player at the club in 20 years. Tell me I'm wrong.
-
Perhaps the reason Humphrey isn't playing great is BECAUSE he has two players on him at all times.

I love staying in Glasgow and wearing the Motherwell bunnet. Gets it poked right up them.
