Anybody that thinks Higdon had a poorer game than Murphy is - quite frankly - blind.
-
Poor performance my arse. Played them off the park in the first half. Lost to a set piece and two break-away goals. Steve Davis the difference between the teams.

If I win the jackpot tonight I'll bankroll Faddy's return personally.
-
Peter Elder makes an excellent point & I agree with him totally. The extra money we have made of the last few years must be going somewhere.
-
Steve Jones is a centre mid or striker according to that ....

The Diggle sums up Hampden beautifully. Absolutely spot on

From the beeb ....... The Scottish Football Association will also investigate events at Wednesday night's match. Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell has disputed comments made on Thursday morning by Stewart Regan, his counterpart at the SFA. Regan slammed both clubs for their "inflammatory and irresponsible behaviour", adding that the "angry confrontation" between Lennon and McCoist "was not only unsavoury but exacerbated an already incendiary atmosphere inside the stadium and throughout the West of Scotland". Lawwell, however, said: "I believe that events should be put into some perspective. "Celtic had three players booked last night. To put this in the context of other matches, St Johnstone last night received two bookings in their match against Aberdeen, while Motherwell received five bookings against Celtic last Sunday. " ================================================ I fail to get the jist - the ugly sisters shame Scottish football last night - both of them - .... but we got 5 players booked and the sheep got 2 players booked ....... what is he rambling on about? Or am I being thick? Mods - move to Gen Football if not deemed MFC related.

Wednesday have played him primarily at left back and that's not his position. Play him at either sweeper or just in front of the back four and he'll do fine.

I actually thought we played quite well in patches last night!! First thirty minutes we were by far the better side, the rest of the game was a bit more even. The were a bit hungrier than we were and weren't afraid to shoot on site, that was the only differences between the teams. Not a disaster the way it is being made out by some. A couple of points to note:- 1. The football we're playing isnae much different from when Broon was here, we just didn't get the breaks last night 2. Re Hammell and Gunning - McCall is being criticised for wanting players to play in more than one position ... something than Gannon was lauded for trying. What's the difference? 3. Sutton is pish. How anyone thinks he deserves a new contract is beyond me. Overall - take a step back for a minute - 5th in the league, in the quarters of th cup, and were bloody unlucky in the semi against the Vile. Is this isn't making you satisfied with the season then what will?

She's a Scottish Rockette ......

We lost by six so the whole team let us down. We should never lose by six, not in this league.
-
Am I right in thinking that we've had Mr Gilmour in just about every league game against Rangers since his decision to chop off Ross Forbes' goal last season? Not for one minute suggesting that we are going to get anything at Ipox anyway .... but anyway ....WTF!?!
-
Gannon was a legend with the stockport fans but not the board. He was sacked from that job for very good reasons.
-
Roddy Dhu for starters at 12.30. Bound to full of the Vile unfortunately.
-
Two poor teams lacking in confidence today. Difference is that we have a bit more quality than them and we'll improve. They won't. Oh dear what a pity never mind. Onwards and upwards!!

Youngy had three of the hardest games possible not taking into account the cards he was dealt in the circumstances. Broon would have done well to take a point from those three games without he turmoil he has caused. And I don't think anyone has said he should "get a medal" or such. But he did a great job given what he had to deal with. Give him a break FFS.
-
@ Diggle - as your avatar suggests - its all in your head. Young admitted he wasn't management material. He held together a team that had the carpet whipped out from under its feet by the lovely wee gent and did the job to the best of his abilities. And under the circumstances he did a bloody great job. Three games against the best three in Scotland - chances are wee Broon would've lost all three games too. I really don't get you - you're either just unrealistic or you actually are Jim Gannon. Incidentally, I witnessed our worst hour and a half under Gannon at Ipox. That was 6 going on sixteen. For the record - Jim Gannon = great scout but NOT a manager, summed up by his past and his future, and by some of his questionable contract demands. FACT. Or do you know different, like? The guy - signings apart - was a disaster for the club. Let it go FFS it's in the past. Anyhow, thanks to Youngy for keeping the lads going under incredible circumstances and from stopping a full implosion of our club. All the best.

Good to see ye back on the forum Stevie. Agree - shocking decision to appoint this wee shite for Saturday's game. Almost as much as a disgrace as having wee Gilmour on the line against the Vile.
-
New Stadium is a £40 solution to a £10 problem.

Last season when shipped 6 at Ipox was much much worse. Sense of perspective required on this board.
