Regarding the cutback from frear, if it's the same one I'm thinking of we had four guys looking for the cutback and not one getting across the face of goal. Main and Sammon are too similar, the only difference between the two is that Main should be a professional footballer and Sammon shouldn't be. If Johnson had been on still I'm certain he would've made that run across the face.

Robinson clearly read some of the comments on here/Facebook/Twitter etc after the start of the season. He is perhaps right that it was a wee bit over the top, but what I don't understand is how we can pass our way through a top 4 team like Rangers but resort to long ball shitfests vs the likes of Accies and Clyde. If we set out to play like we did today every week we could genuinely be in contention for the top six and another decent cup run. If we revert to a shitfest vs Dundee next week and go long at every opportunity then the feelgood after today's result and performance will feel like it's been for nothing...

You, I and 99% of the members of this forum will have no idea how much we or any other club pay towards a player's wages when they're on loan. You can't just dismiss him as a "cheap backup option" when you have literally no clue what % of his wage we'll be paying. He might well be a backup option, but we've no idea what he's costing, and it's reasonable to assume we're paying a fair wedge when you consider he'll be on a fair wedge at Hearts. You may well be right that he will be signed as a backup to the first 3, but my point is he's not good enough to be a backup, whether he's cheap or (most likely) pretty expensive. Not even close. Which rolls into your 4th point. George Newell's a crock but we could have and should have lined up a better 4th choice as cover than Connor Sammon.

1) You have literally no idea how much we're paying him or whether or not he'll be "a cheap option", and I don't know why you're pretending like you do. He went from The Championship in England to Hearts, he'll be on a fair whack, and fuck knows why we are but we are paying a fair whack of that whack. 2) As already stated, it doesn't matter what we're paying him, it's still too much.
