  1. Penney would fit this new system perfectly, get him signed!
  2. I only watched the last 30 minutes and judging by this thread it’s a good thing as it sounds like we were woeful. The 30 minutes I saw though it looked like we dominated. Spittal setting up Paton for a 97th minute winner, you okay Steelboy?
  3. If we only bring in one more player at absolutely has to be a striker. Right now we have Bair and Wilkinson who look nothing close to the flair and quality of KVV, a young lad in Ferrie and Efford who appears unlikely to respond positively to the manager’s public calling out. We have looked solid defensively this season and our midfield is reasonable (even moreso if the Davor boy comes good and offers the defence some protection), but if we can’t score goals we will struggle badly.
  4. It's the only angle I've seen. If you or anyone else can provide a different angle I'd like to see, but from there it looks a good tackle and just a very unfortunate injury.
  5. The tackle at 3 minutes? It's really disappointing that he's injured for 3 minutes but that looks a fuckin great tackle to me. Firm and wins the ball. Chat about Dunne going in to intentionally hurt Mika or it being a red is wild.
  6. One thing Kettlewell has done better than any other manager I can think of is move players on that are under contract.
  7. Any links at all? I’ve gotten quite used to watching every game, it’s frustrating on the rare occasion we don’t get to watch.
  8. I assume it would be a RWB, which would be a wee bit harsh on O'Donnell, he was excellent against Hibs. Then again if it's cover for both WBs then that would help.
  9. I thought O'Donnell was much improved and dealt with the physicality of Hibs' left side well, and fizzed in another cross that really should have been put away, so I've gone for him.
  10. Yep I think we've won a watch here, great debut from him.
  11. Despite our lack of attacking threat at times and that struggle to link the midfield and attack, we are unbelievably solid defensively. It's great to see.
  12. Very surprised Bair is coming off instead of Wilkinson. He's been the least pish out of the two of them.
  13. Our ball retention has been atrocious so far. Long balls into the channel from the full backs, bypassing the midfield for two not very mobile strikers just won't work.
  14. Catastrophic is harsh. It was a gamble that didn't work out and he got the bullet at the right time. We got off to a fairly decent start under Hammell, things were going okay but he lacked experience around him. McGhee second spell, now THAT was catastrophic.
  15. Luton have been shocking. Hopefully wee Al gets his chance and takes it because he can't be any worse than some of the duds on display today. Their number 14 is absolutely mince.
  16. They're just covering their own backs for when they leave they can say that their hands were tied during their time with us. I thought Stephen Robinson was a master at covering his arse.
  17. Harsh words indeed regarding Efford. SK seems to demand the best from his players, but also seems like a fair guy. It very much appears the player isn't giving his all right now. Efford gives something different than Obika & Wilkinson, he's relatively quick and can carry the ball, but if he's not giving 100% it seems like SK will move him on or won't play him.
  18. Interesting how people can see things differently. I thought he looked really poor in the league cup but did not too badly against Dundee. I expect him to start on Sunday.
  19. It's just Crags shouting "feed the bear and he will score" a few times. For those complaining about our wing backs not being dynamic enough, O'Donnell with a great assist and Souaré bursting his bollocks to be the first man in the box for the goal.
  20. It's a penalty all day long. *** https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/66430070 Love Crags.
  21. Three minutes of added time, half of which the ball is out the pitch. Shite refereeing. Not the worst opening day in the world, Mugabi & Slattery were both superb.
