I could be (and probably am) way off; I was just thinking out loud. Would be interesting to see who are top earners are and what their actual weekly basic is.

Louis Moult was signed from Wrexham, I doubt when we signed him his basic wage was very much at all. Pulling numbers out my arse but say we gave him £400 a week when he signed, and when we offered that extension he asked to match the highest earner at the club, say £1800 a week. £1400 extra a week for 2.5 years on the off chance someone meets our valuation of him. And if they didn't meet it, and we were stuck with him, you're talking around £150k in extra wages from what he was on should he see out the full 2.5 years, gambling on whether someone will come in and sign him. Factor in how skint we are and how McGhee will have maxed out our budget on dross like Blyth and Lucas, it'll be for the best that we didn't break our budget to match what he asked for. If, indeed, that is how the story went...

Wonder if Faddy will get a game on Saturday. Surely off the bench at least.

Is Samson contracted for next year? I thought he was, but Robinson quoted tonight by the BBC saying we have 14 players signed for next year, and no goalkeeper...

Appreciate the updates! Just tuning in, this is good stuff.

Just watched the highlights, brilliant reactions from players and fans alike at the final whistle. Moult's reaction is nothing short of quality. Having said that last week we were punished by a shocker of a mistake. Today there were 3 really bad ones that could've cost us; first half Lasley with an awful clearance, 2nd half Griffiths comes for a cross ball and gets fuckin nowhere near it, and lastly Heneghan trying to dribble out of defence towards the end. Absolutely delighted we won, but it could've been a very different atmosphere on here tonight had any of those chances meant we didn't win.

I've read on here a few times "he should do the decent thing and resign" regarding McGhee. Thought what McCall did was somewhat noble.

We've had a few "biggest game of the season" games recently. Glad we finally won one of them, and arguably the biggest of them all!

Absolutely love McCall. McGhee's first spell was class, but his second was a disaster, and there's a small to decent chance we'll go down as a result.

They've also bid £500k for Ched Evans. Could've saved themselves half a mil by having a backbone a few months ago.

I'm certain there will be. Conversation probably went something like... "We'll give you a go til the end of the season" "Ahh I'd prefer 18 months to be honest." "No, sorry." "Well what about this: give me an 18 month deal and if I keep us up I get next year too, but if I don't we can part ways at no extra cost." "Deal." He's said a good few times "there's livelihoods on the line here", likely talking about his own.
